While appearing on ITV breakfast show Daybreak, former Celebrity Big Brother and current Dancing On Ice contestant Gareth Thomas has revealed that Hollywood legend Mickey Rourke is set to play the rugby star in movie biopic about Gareth’s life.
Speaking about plans for the film, Gareth said, “Mickey rang me out of the blue about two years ago – I thought it was one of the rugby boys having a laugh.
“He invited me on The Jonathan Ross Show with him, and we just became really good mates.”
He added, “I didn’t want to just give somebody the rights to my life – I wanted it to be for everything I’ve stood for since I came out… Read more & comment »

Fans of the summer series of Celebrity Big Brother will no doubt recall that Jersey Shore star Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino became positively obsessed with fellow housemate Danica Thrall during his time in the house…
However, Danica repeatedly pointed out to him – fairly forcefully at times – that he isn’t her type, and of course, the whole debacle became an ongoing row both inside and outside the house as Danica was accused of “leading him on.”
But it seems that the whole experience, and his stint in rehab earlier this year, have helped to change Mike’s life around, and for that, he’s revealed that he feels “very blessed.” Read more & comment »

Fans of Celebrity Big Brother will no doubt remember former housemate Jasmine Lennard, who caused row after row while in the house earlier this year, primarily over her vile rants at – and about – model Danica Thrall.
And of course, she continued her bitter and somewhat deranged hate campaign against Danica when she left the house, and she also laid into Rhian Sugden via Twitter too.
In addition, Jasmine was reportedly kicked off this year’s Celebrity Come Dine With Me for allegedly threatening to “glass” fellow contestant – and former I’m A Celeb contestant – Crissy Rock… Read more & comment »

As fans of Celebrity Big Brother will know, Simon Cowell’s ex Jasmine Lennard became one of the show’s most controversial housemates ever after she caused row after row in the CBB house earlier this year…
At the time, many of our readers here at Unreality TV suggested that Jasmine may have mental health issues – given her alarming and volatile reactions to the smallest of perceived slights – and it would appear that she hasn’t mellowed out at all since leaving the house!
The Daily Mirror reports that this week, Jasmine has been ditched from a Christmas special of Celebrity Come Dine With Me after she allegedly threatened to “glass” another contestant… Read more & comment »

There has of course been a huge amount of controversy over ITV’s screening of an exposé documentary about Sir Jimmy Savile and allegations that he was a paedophile.
And today, former Celebrity Big Brother star Coleen Nolan has revealed that she only just “escaped” the clutches of the late DJ and TV presenter when she was a teenager.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Coleen explained that in the 70s, she and her sisters – who were of course hit band The Nolans – spent a lot of time with Savile at the BBC given that he hosted Top of the Pops at the time.
She added that Savile “begged” her to join him at his Blackpool hotel in 1979, and it was only the intervention of her sisters that stopped her from going.
Coleen said of Savile’s invitation, “I did think ‘Oh my God’. It was kind of impressive that this famous DJ had asked me to go with him to his hotel room… Read more & comment »

In the last few weeks, the gay community has been in a whirl, following the ill judged comments of Rupert Everett. The actor claimed that he couldn’t imagine being brought up by two dads, which he further clarified as his antipathy to marriage in general.
Many have spoken out in anger and believe that the comments come from a deep seated self hate within the “Next Best Thing” star.
When asked about it in a recent interview Julian Clary says: “Well, his argument doesn’t really hang up, does it? I’m sure he believes in equality, so gay people should have the same rights as everyone else, I’m sure he’d believe that.” Read more & comment »

That old adage about not being able to choose your family is one that the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, must have ringing in her head right now like a mantra, given that her cousin, Katrina Darling, is being chased by several TV networks to star on their shows.
Among those said to be battling to get Katrina – who admits she’s never met her now royal cousin Kate – to sign on the dotted line are Channel 5 and ITV who are said to be “desperate” to secure her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother and I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here respectively.
Katrina, who describes herself as a burlesque dancer – and whose appeared in Playboy magazine – is related to Kate as her gran is sister to Kate’s great granddad.
A TV insider told the Daily Star of ITV and Channel 5’s bidding war over Katrina, “They know she would be dynamite to secure.” Read more & comment »

The relationship between fellow former Celebrity Big Brother stars Chantelle Houghton and Alex Reid has suffered more ups and downs than a stair-lift, but despite their latest rift being supposedly the worst yet – given that Chantelle called the police to arrest Alex after he tried to get into the home the couple formerly shared – it looks like they may be trying to talk things through…
The Mail online reports this morning that yesterday, Alex was spotted arriving at Chantelle’s house bearing gifts of takeaway, possibly hoping that the way to her heart is via a Chinese.
However, Alex evidently wasn’t invited to stay for long as he was seen leaving just a few hours later.
A source close to Alex said, “Alex is keen to see Dolly as much as he can but he and Chantelle are not back together.”
The paper adds, “The following day, single mum Chantelle enjoyed some quality time with her baby daughter Dolly and her mother.” Read more & comment »

Last night at the recording of Live at the Apollo, Julian Clary left the stage close to tears and upset by what some audience members claimed was extreme homophobic heckling.
The Celebrity Big Brother winner, who has played in front of sold out and happy crowds with his well received new show for the last few weeks, must have felt so shocked by this completely different crowd, who reacted so badly to his act.

Julian Clary has revealed he is definitely hoping to create a new gay TV sitcom, with new close friend Julie Goodyear. They are planning to base the series in the fictional B&B they came up with during their time in the house.
Says Julian in a radio interview: “There is talk of a sitcom based in the gay B&B called the White Swallow which seems a good idea to me. And she is very funny and she has got great comic timing. So I think my people are talking to her people.”
Hope this is going to happen; the UK has a lack of gay comedy and camp these days. Julian is all for bringing more camp to the world, telling North Devon Journal… Read more & comment »
