Marc Bannerman has revealed that he and Cerys Matthews are back together. The pair met on I’m A Celebrity last November. Marc dumped his girlfriend, got it on with Cerys, only to break up with her a few months later.

But Marc revealed on the Loose Women chat show yesterday:

“We are back together, yes. It’s really lovely. But no, not engaged.

“We’re dating. It was intense at first. All of a sudden it hit us that we were a couple. So we took a step back.”

Cerys recently told The News Of The World that she broke up with Marc due to his controlling nature, but the pair obviously couldn’t live without each other…….or without the media attention that their relationship attracts.

In the first interview since her split with Marc Bannerman, Cerys Matthews has revealed the real reasons why she dumped him last week.

In the interview with The News Of The World, I’m A Celebrity star Cerys revealed that Marc couldn’t cope with her children, and that she had major problems with his controlling nature.

Cerys revealed that Marc often criticised her basic wardrobe:

“I remember him saying ‘Have you got any other jumpers?’ I think he was surprised that I lived so simply, hate shopping and don’t have a fancy wardrobe.”

The she recalled the first time Marc spent any real time with her two children:

“It was a disaster. We all caught a cold and Glenys Pearl was screaming with a fever. We were switching beds all night and I remember Marc saying, ‘This could be the rest of my life.’ And he looked scared!”

She then spilled the beans on one of their first dates saying: “I remember us going for an Indian meal, one of the only two proper dates we ever had, and he chose what I should eat.

“He picked the wine and the food, which was a shock. I didn’t tell him I prefer to order my own stuff because our relationship was so new.”

I don’t know why she is in any way surprised. It was obvious that the guy was a creep from day one!

I just had to get that out! It’s great to know that I’m A Celebrity sleaze bag, Marc Bannerman is now on the receiving end of someones wrath, and has been as publicly humiliated as his ex-girlfriend Sarah was last year.

You see Welsh singer, Cerys Matthews has finally seen the light and dumped Marc so that she can focus on her music career.

“The passion fizzled out and they’ve hardly seen each other in the last month. All the talk of having babies and settling down turned to dust,” a source told the Sunday Mirror. “She realised the relationship was going nowhere and wants to concentrate on her tour, so she told Marc they were finished this week.”

However, one has to wonder if it was the passion that fizzled out or the magazine deals? Now that OK and Hello are no longer interested in the pair, maybe there was nothing left to keep them together.

It’s meant to be the honeymoon period, but the romantic bliss of I’m A Celebrity couple was interrupted today by a visit from the local police.

Cerys and Marc are currently staying in her parents farmhouse in Wales and the coppers turned up today, probably to question Marc about an incident in a local pub this week.

A photographer was snapping pictures of the happy couple, when Marc strode over, took their camera and removed the memory card.

An onlooker told The Daily Mail: “One of the snappers got a photo of Cerys and Marc in the pub and then he got back into his car.

“But then Marc and a male friend of theirs came out of the pub, opened the door to the photographer’s car.

“Marc eventually got hold of one of his cameras and took it back into the pub with him. He then took the memory card out of the camera. Then the friend came back outside and gave the camera back without the memory card in it.

“Marc and Cerys obviously didn’t want the photos of them getting out.”

I wonder if this was really Marc being chivalrous and trying to protect his lady’s privacy, or if indeed he and Cerys have signed an exclusive deal with a magazine and are afraid of it being jeopardised?

Now you can call me cynical….and I’d probably agree, but I find it hard to believe all the hype around Cerys Matthews and Marc Bannerman at the minute.

The pair supposedly fell in love in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, despite the fact that Marc had a long term girlfriend.

Marc left the show first, flew back to London and failed to return to Australia to greet Cerys when she emerged. However, a few days after Cerys got out, long enough for her PR team to have fully briefed her the pair earn an estimated £100 million for giving interviews about their burning love for each other. The passion was so hot that for two weeks the pair remained on opposite sides of the world from each other.

Finally this week Cerys Matthews and Marc Bannerman have been reunited……they met up in Wales for an exclusive photoshoot and interview with one of the big UK glossies. To make matters worse, the pictures were taken in the pub which Cerys had used for her wedding reception a few years ago.

When I see these people, all I can see is two people with flagging careers, desperate for the fame that has alluded them in recent years. Are they really ‘in love’? I doubt it, but I have been proved wrong before!

I’m A Celebrity star, Cerys Matthews has claimed that fellow camp mate Marc Bannerman, did not mislead her, and that she was always aware that he had a girlfriend.

Speaking on I’m A Celebrity…Coming Out Show, she said: “I don’t think he has any more blame than me. We were friends, it could have become a lot more intense than we had thought at the beginning.

“I was aware he had a girlfriend, he didn’t try and mislead me.”

She did admite to being disappointed when Marc didn’t return to Australia to see her, saying:

“I was disappointed because I’d had that letter saying he might come back.

“I wouldn’t be honest if I said otherwise. I loved being with him. It was a pleasure to get to know such a lovely human being. If this is about love that’s a good thing to have trouble with.”

The Daily Mail have published a great article today, speculating on the blossoming love affair between I’m A Celebrity stars, Marc Bannerman and Cerys Matthews.

The pair are said to have earned around £100,000 for giving interviews about their all consuming passion for one another, yet this passion hasn’t inclined them to rush into each others arms.

As we speak, Marc is still in London, while Cerys is living in the lap of luxury in Australia.

After failing to meet her when she left the jungle, and being branded as a national love rat, ex Eastender Marc Bannerman has admitted that he wants to have babies with Cerys Matthews.

He tells the News Of The World, “I hope to settle down and have children with the right woman. I think Cerys is that woman.

“I don’t know what love at first sight is – but I had the most intense feeling. When it hits you, what can you do? She is sweet, caring and considerate. She sings like an angel and is a very special person to me.”

I’m A Celebrity contestant, Cerys Matthews has revealed that she is madly in love with her fellow camp mate Marc Bannerman.

She tells the News Of The World, “I never went into the jungle looking for love. I can’t believe how quickly I fell for someone in such a short space of time.

“But yes, I’m in love with Marc and I think he feels the same. I’d like us to spend the rest of our lives together – I’ve found a soulmate and because I’m a hopeless romantic I want to be with him for ever.

“We’re going to take things slowly but I’ve a really amazing feeling about us.”

I just hope that she doesn’t get bitterly disappointed. Marc doesn’t strike me as the reliable (or faithful) type!

Well it seems as though former Eastenders actor, Marc Bannerman has changed his mind yet again, and decided that Cerys Matthews isn’t the woman for him.

Only last week Marc was lamenting about being in love with two people, however he has now had a change of heart, but typically hasn’t been man enough to break the news to Cerys Matthews.

A pal of Marc’s told The Sun newspaper: “When they were in the jungle he was swept up in it all, but in the cold light of day he’s realised she may not be the woman for him.

“He’s utterly confused and doesn’t know what to do.”

So in his confusion, he has done what comes naturally…..he’s ran away! Very manly Marc!
