Heads Up, Ladies! Fresh Meat For Big Brother!!!

Big Brother 2007 LogoOh, aren’t we glad we stayed up late and watched Big Brother’s Big Mouth tonight!

Because - dear female readers (and also members of the camp fraternity) - Gorgeous George Galloway announced this evening that the house will be receiving a delivery of two new males tomorrow evening! Yay!

Of course, the person who’ll be most pleased will be Ziggy. I really feel for him, stuck there with all those girls and no-one to compare notes with. Can you imagine it? All that eye candy and nobody to talk about them to….

Will these new housemates bring balance to Big Brother? Who knows, but we’ll not be left to dwell on Emily’s racist faux pas for too long.

So girlies, what are you hoping for when these new guys enter the house? Drop us a comment and let us know…..

Danielle spends her days chasing Skyler, who takes advantage of her mother’s inconsistent discipline. By the time dad gets home an exhausted Danielle needs help, but Frank refuses to discipline his “little princess” when she misbehaves, while being harsh with his sensitive son.

The design of this year’s Big Brother compound has been revealed, and nothing is quite as it should be.

Housemates will find their bath is in the living room, their fridge in the garden and an oven-free kitchen.

Big Brother has also locked away the kettle and toaster - and will only release them when it sees fit.

Producers promised “quirky surprises” when the new series starts on 30 May, but refused to say whether the house would be subject to the smoking ban.

“Details of the production are a closely-guarded secret before the programme goes to air,” said executive producer Rebecca De Young.

She said the smoking ban was “an issue we take seriously and one that will be addressed during the course of the series”.

Lie Lab On Channel 4

For the first time on British television, Channel 4 employs new lie-detecting technology on individuals accused of serious offences who claim they are innocent. In theory there is no escape: if they are lying, the scanner will show it.

Two British Asians labelled as terrorists take the test. Also under scrutiny is a woman convicted of poisoning a child, as well as the author of a best-selling book alleging physical and sexual abuse that members of her family have described as complete fiction.

Scientists at Sheffield University have pioneered the use of functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), which in experimental conditions has shown remarkable accuracy in detecting lies. Each film in Lie Lab explores a single case with individuals answering key questions with the fMRI scanner, to be then shown the results afterwards.

While some believe the fMRI scanner is a threat to civil liberties, arguing that no technology is fool-proof, others say the technology could be invaluable in ruling out suspects, and supporting the judicial process.

Lie Lab explores these questions and looks at other forms of deception detection being pioneered in Britain and the US. The show will air on Channel 4 this June.
