Charlotte Church is reportedly in talks about joining the judging panel of ‘The Voice’.

The show will launch on BBC One in January, and it is reported that the 25 year old singer is keen to join the lineup, thinking herself to be the next Christina Aguilera, who judges on the US version.

Bosses are also said to be keen to land Cheryl Cole, who has been embroiled in a much publicised spat with the mum of two, as they believe it would make explosive TV viewing.

A source told The Sun: “Cheryl won’t be pleased to learn that Charlotte is up for ‘The Voice’.

“She’s keen on doing it as it will be a sensational return to UK telly after her humiliation on the ‘X Factor’. But there’s way too much bad blood between her and Charlotte they’d just end up arguing all the time.”

The Welsh star of course has her own reality TV experience, having last year acted as a judge and mentor on BBC talent how ‘Over The Rainbow,’in which she, John Barrowman, Sheila Hancock and Andrew Lloyd Webber set out to find a lady to play Dorothy on a West End stage.

She previously fronted The Charlotte Church Show on Channel 4. The chat and entertainment programme ran for three full series until 2008.

Charlotte Church may have split from Gavin Henson over a year ago, but the singing star obviously still has feelings for her ex, as insiders say she broke down in tears when she heard about his new TV show.

The former opera singer shares two children with the rugby ace and is currently dating new boyfriend Jonathan Powell, however the thought of Gavin living in a Spanish villa with 25 attractive ladies, while filming Channel 5′s The Bachelor does not amuse her one bit!

“She couldn’t help feeling upset and hurt that Gavin is going to be dating all these other women on national TV,” an insider told Star magazine.

“Charlotte says the thought of watching him fall head over heels for someone else is horrid – especially as these girls are all so gorgeous.”

On his new role, Gavin enthused:

He said: “I’m so excited to have been cast as ‘The Bachelor’ as I really feel the time is right for me to find a girl to hopefully spend the rest of my life with. I’ve always been dedicated to my rugby and continue to train hard, but as the season draws to an end I can focus on meeting the right girl.

“It can be hard in my situation to meet women and ‘The Bachelor’ will give me the unique opportunity to go on some incredible dates and spend quality time getting to know amazing women from all over the UK.”

Charlotte Church has reportedly called time on her current recording contract.

The TV presenter and former classical singer had signed with Power Amp Music last March, however insiders say that she has since clashed with bosses and producers over the direction of her new album and the fact that they weren’t keen for her to embark on an American tour.

The Mail On Sunday reported that Charlotte and label bosses also disagreed over how to spend money set aside for her career and added that the star will now reimburse the label for not providing an album.

A spokesperson for Church denied that there has been a falling out and told the newspaper:

“All I can really say, because of the confidentiality issues, is that it was in Charlotte’s financial interests to do so before the agreement entered the second year of its term. This is typical for these type of deals, which are investment deals rather than record deals.

“I can also say that the decision to terminate the term early, which suited both parties, was made well before the commercial release of the album. The album hasn’t been released in the US and we wouldn’t tour there until it was. There was no disagreement with Power Amp over this issue.”

A representative for Power Amp added:

“It didn’t work out with Charlotte and that’s fair enough. There was no falling out. It was a mutual decision. They decided to exit the deal.”

Charlotte Church has hit out at the X Factor and it’s boss Simon Cowell, saying the show is ‘killing music.’

The Over The Rainbow judge made the comments during an interview with Esquire magazine and went on to blast the panel, saying none of them are good enough to judge on the show.

Charlotte raved:

“I’m a so much better singer than either Dannii Minogue or Cheryl Cole.

“The X Factor is killing music.

“That show doesn’t have an interest in true craftsmanship or skill; it’s all about your ass, and hopefully you can keep half a tune.

“It’s dreadful news for everyone else because there’s no room on radio or TV for anything else.”

Church also claimed that Cowell didn’t ask her to be a judge on the ITV show, because he knew he couldn’t control her.

Charlotte Church has claimed that Simon Cowell is too scared to let her act as a guest judge on ‘The X Factor’.

The Over The Rainbow panellist said that she is much more of a vocal expert than many of last year’s stand in judges – including Pixie Lott, Geri Halliwell, Nicole Scherzinger and Katy Perry – because she knows more about the technicalities of singing than the 51-year-old music mogul himself.

She said: “I’d make a better judge than the others on that show because I know more about the technical side of singing than even Simon Cowell.

“But he wouldn’t be able to control me, so he’d never have me on.”

Charlotte – who was a judge on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s BBC One talent search show ‘Over The Rainbow’ last year – also slammed ‘The X Factor’ as being “dreadful news” for everyone else in the music business.

Charlotte Church has revealed that she will be supporting Gavin Henson on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing series.

The pair split earlier this year, just weeks after becoming engaged. Charlotte warned that the rugby star’s dance moves are ‘not the best’ but added that she and their children Ruby and Dexter would be watching and cheering him on for as long as he stays on the show.

The Over The Rainbow judge told Wales Online:

“I’ll tune in and cheer him on. The kids love it. I am probably going to perform on it at some stage.

“He is lucky, so maybe he’ll win. His dancing is not the best. I will vote for him.”

Charlotte also added that she wouldn’t be upset if Gavin met someone else during his time on the show. She said:

“If he gets a new woman I won’t be upset. I want him to be happy, which sounds clichéd and cheesy but I want him to find a nice woman and be happy.

“The happier he is, the happier our children are going to be. The kids understand. They haven’t seen him for a bit because he is working in London. He has them for two days and two nights a week.

“He’s an awesome dad – a bit lax on routine, but he’s their playmate. I am boring – I wash, clean clothes and feed them.

Charlotte Church will stay living with her ex-boyfriend Gavin Henson, for the sake of their two daughters sources have claimed.

The pair decided to split last week and Gavin has since went on holiday to Benidorm with some of his pals. But when he returns, sources close to the couple suggest that Gavin will move back into their home in Saint Brides Major, Mid Glamorgan, so that he can continue to co-parent his two children, Ruby, two, and one-year-old Dexter.

A source told The News Of The World:

“It’s unexpected but it’s what works best for them. They’re getting on better than they have in some time.”

A spokesman for the couple said: “They have confirmed their separation and stress no third party was involved. They intend to work together to ensure there is little disruption to the children.”

It’s nice to see some celebrities keeping their private life private for a change and not dragging each other and their children through every tabloid newspaper in the country!

Over The Rainbow insiders have reportedly admitted that they are concerned by the extent of judge Charlotte Church’s weight loss.

The Welsh singer dropped to a svelte size eight for the show launch two months ago, but is now said to have dropped further to a size six, forcing the wardrobe department to take in some of her dresses.

A source told The Sun: “Charlotte has had a very public yo-yo battle with her weight. She was delighted when everyone was raving about how she looked when she returned to work.

“She looked radiant and slender but still had nice curves. But now some feel her diet has taken over her life. She talks about food a lot but she doesn’t seem to be eating much of it.”

A spokesperson for the programme denied the report, saying: “Charlotte’s stylist has told me she is still wearing the same size clothes and they have not been altered.”

Rugby star Gavin Henson has reportedly offered to buy his fiancée Charlotte Church a boob lift.

Henson is said to have offered the Over The Rainbow judge the lift gift after she dropped three dress sizes on her recent diet.

A source told The Sun: “Charlotte went ballistic at first. She couldn’t believe his cheek. She thought he didn’t like her body any more.

“But he explained he loves her body whatever the shape. He thinks she looks great since losing weight but he loved her curves too.”

Charlotte is now considering his offer.
