The plot thickens!

Just hours after Now magazine had their so called ‘legal expert’ look at emails MC Harvey claims were sent to him by X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, the rapper has suggested that he may have been lying about the whole thing.

Yesterday Now’s media lawyer claimed that the messages were 100% authentic and suggested a romantic relationship between Chez and Harvey, however during an interview on Choice FM’s breakfast show, Alesha Dixon’s ex husband appeared to backtrack a little on his claims.

Perhaps scared by reports that Cole was taking legal action against both him and Now magazine, when asked about his so called romance with the ‘Promise This’ hitmaker, Harvey said:

‘I will 100% say that we did have a communication relationship, but have I been out with her? No I have not.’

Articles in Now quoted the So Solid Crew star as saying that he wanted to marry Cheryl at one point and that he dated her, while she was supposedly seeing American star Derek Hough. However when asked to clarify his comments, Harvey added:

‘I did not say I would marry her. I’ve never been with her, I’ve never claimed to have a relationship with her, but the communication is not a lie.

‘If I’d done that, I’d be lying to myself and lying to my family. If I’m saying was there communication with us, yes- for a good five months.’

So then why did he hit out at Cole, when she publicly challenged him on twitter and accused him of lying about their his troy. Blatantly he has just admitted that he was. Well MC Harvey is sticking to his guns and says that he felt he had to defend himself against Cole and her team, as they backed him into ‘a corner.’

He continued:

‘When she publicly went and done that, she brought it to the forefront as a battle, and me personally, that’s your fault because I didn’t wanna go on a public social network and give people what they want and entertain it but naturally as a person, when you done that, you put me in a corner.

So it looks as though Cheryl may have been telling the truth all along and perhaps, after his admissions Now will find themselves having to back down a little, especially after they issues a statement, standing by every detail of their so called revelations.

Yesterday Cheryl addressed the issue again on Twitter, saying that she was ‘shocked’ by the lies that some people tell in the industry.

It looks like she might have been right!

Cheryl Cole is standing her ground against MC Harvey it would seem.

The former X Factor judge took to Twitter last week, to hit out at the So Solid Crew star, after reading an interview in Now magazine in which he claims to have enjoyed a romance with her in 2010.

He insisted that they dated for a number of months, after Cheryl split from her cheating husband Ashley and while she was supposedly ‘in love’ with American dancer Derek Hough.

Last week, Cole addressed the rapper on the micro blogging site, asking what he was ‘smoking’ and later, when he claimed to have very persoanl email messages from the Girls Aloud star in his possession, she was defended by her former bandmate Nicola Roberts, who also accused the man of lying.

Today, the pair have hit the headlines again, when a legal expert for Now magazine claimed to have reviewed the messages in question and insisted that the emails from Cheryl and her mum Joan Callaghan are real.

Responding to the claims, Cole took to Twitter and messaged her followers saying:

I don’t know when I became so naïve but even after 10 yrs in this industry i am still shocked that people will tell soul destroying lies to benefit themselves #sadbuttrue

Cheryl Cole has been very vocal in denying that she ever had an affair with So Solid Crew star MC Harvey, but the rapper has been just as adamant that they did date back in 2010.

Now, he and Now magazine have begun calling in legal experts, keen to prove to the world that the former X Factor judge is lying.

Harvey has insisted that when Cheryl was supposedly dating Derek Hough – before she took ill with malaria (though who knows if that even happened now) and not long after she split from her cheating husband Ashley Cole – she was actually seeing him and when she tackled him on Twitter last week, he claimed that he even has a batch of personal emails which he can use to back up his claim.

Alesha Dixon’s ex was furious when both Chez and her Girls Aloud pal Nicola Roberts called him a liar and has revealed to Now magazine that he has dozens of messages from the ‘Promise This’ hitmaker and even some from her mother, Joan Callaghan.

Tim Parish, legal advisor for Now and media lawyer for 24 years, took a look over the evidence and confirmed that the emails are authentic, telling the magainze:

‘The emails I was shown dated back to 2010 and were correspondence to and from Cheryl Cole and Michael Harvey and also between Michael Harvey and
Cheryl’s mother Joan Callaghan.

‘The emails give details of her feelings about The X Factor, pictures she sent to Michael Harvey as well as personal conversations between the pair.

‘I concluded that the messages were real, had not been doctored in any way and confirm he was in a romantic relationship with the sender.’

We wonder if Cheryl will be so quick to deny the rumours now.

The question is, will Now release the emails, because we have to admit, we’re pretty desperate to read them. We just hope the pictures she sent were a little more tasteful than the ones Ashley sent to his female conquests, because they made us want to puke a little!

Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to wield his axe on The X Factor UK, after making brutal cuts on his US version last week.

It was revealed recently that the music mogul had dropped Nicole Scherzinger, Steve Jones and most surprisingly, his old pal Paula Abdul from the judging panel of his stateside show and today, it has been claimed that he plans the same clean sweep for the British version.

Insiders say that Cowell’s top priority right now, is replacing Kelly Rowland on the panel and despite Will.i.am’s claims that Cheryl Cole is done with Cowell, it has been claimed that the TV boss is still desperate for the former Girls Aloud star to return to his franchise.

Cheryl is being manageable by Black Eyed Peas Star Will and only yesterday he revealed that he wants her to perform on The Voice – which the BBC will be running head to head with Cowell’s Britain’s Got Talent later this year – just so he can annoy Simon.

He also recently claimed that Cole will ‘never’ return to the X Factor, because she no longer needs the TV show and wants to concentrate on her music career from here on.

But a source told The Mirror that Simon still wants her back. They said:

“Cheryl is part of The X Factor family. Formal discussions have yet to take place but if she wants to come back she would be welcomed with open arms.”

ITV bosses are also said to be backing Cheryl’s return, believing that the Geordie bauty could bring the ratings magic back with her. One confessed:

“We’d welcome her with open arms. She was hugely popular and she’s totally gorgeous. We’d love to have her back.”

Will.i.am has admitted that he has asked Cheryl Cole to perform on The Voice, because he wants to annoy X Factor boss Simon Cowell.

The music mogul recently admitted that he would love to have the former Girls Aloud star back on his ITV talent show, however Will – who acts as her manager – revealed that she would never take that backwards step.

However, while Cole may not be showing up on The X Factor anytime soon, it was reported that she will be performing her new single on BBC’s The Voice when it premieres in April. Will – who will be judging on the show – is behind this move and told The Sunday Mirror:

‘I want her on the Voice. I mean why not? That would really p*** the big man off wouldn’t it.’

He added:

‘This is her year by the way – Cheryl is back! You all gonna love her new music – it’s on it, on the money.’

It was recently reported that the BBC have shelled out a huge £21 million, in a bid to ensure that they beat Britain’s Got Talent in the ratings. Executives will pitch their new series head to head with the familiar ITV format and have spent most of the cash on hiring big named judges Will.i.am, Jessie J, Tom Jones and Danny O’Donaghue. However Cowell has hit back with a few big names himself and as well as returning to his show on a full time basis, he has brought David Walliams and Strictly judge Alesha Dixon on board to join him and Amanda Holden.

Ohh the plot thickens!

We reported yesterday that Cheryl Cole was taking legal action against Now magazine, after it printed an interview with MC Harvey, in which he claimed to have enjoyed a fling with Cheryl Cole back in 2010.

She totally denies any such affair and took to Twitter to refute his claims. However the So Solid Crew star quickly hit back, claiming to have a number of personal messages from the former X Factor judge which will prove his story.

Many fans took Cole’s threat of legal action as a sign that she was telling the truth and that Harvey was just out to make a quick buck, however today Now has issued a statement saying that they are prepared to stand by the rapper and are convinced by the evidence he produced to them.

The publication stated:

‘We completely and wholeheartedly stand by our exclusive and refute any accusation that it contains untruths.

‘Michael Harvey himself released a statement earlier this week standing by what he revealed in his interview in Now magazine.

‘The article is not defamatory and was published in good faith – we will strongly defend it.’

The journalist who wrote up the interview previously claimed that she had known about the relationship back when Cheryl was supposedly dating Derek Hough, but couldn’t print the news of it then, because there were no pictures and both stars were denying it at the time.

Cheryl Cole has shown that she’s not afraid to hit back at those spreading lies about her personal life and has reportedly started legal proceedings against Now magazine.

The former X Factor judge was said to be furious when the publication published an interview with MC Harvey, in which he claimed to have enjoyed a secret relationship with Cole, after she split from her cheating husband back in 2010.

The former So Solid Crew star said that they enjoyed a clandestine affair, while the world’s media were convinced that she was seeing American dancer Derek Hough, however Cheryl has disputed his claims.

She took to Twitter earlier this week to ask Alesha Dixon’s ex why he was spreading lies about her and he hit back, saying that he would publish supposedly private emails she had sent to him.

Cole obviously isn’t very worried about these alleged messages and The Mirror reports that she is now taking legal action against the star and Now magazine.

MC Harvey has claimed that he fell for Cheryl Cole back in 2010, because he was impressed by just how ‘normal’ she was.

The So Solid Crew star sold his story to Now magazine and claimed that when Cheryl split from her husband Ashley Cole, and was reportedly dating American dancer Derek Hough, she was all the while seeing him in secret.

He revealed that he loved how much she just wanted to be a typical Geordie lass, with a cup of team and a track suit, despite her celebrity lifestyle and time in the spotlight.

The 32 year old – who was once married to Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon – explained:

‘She just wants to be normal. I know she can’t be normal and do normal things like having a cup of tea and all that.

‘But there are no airs and graces – she doesn’t lie on a golden bed and drink 10 bottles of Cristal, do you know what I mean?’

However, Cheryl has hit out at the hunk and denied having ever met him in recent years. The former X Factor judge said that she hasn’t set eyes on Harvey since back in her Girls Aloud days while he was still married to Dixon.

He disagreed with her on Twitter (read his comments here) but today, Nicola Roberts defended her pal and after MC Harvey claimed to have dozens of personal emails from Chez, she hit out:

‘She doesn’t do emails!’

We revealed earlier this morning that MC Harvey had claimed that just after Cheryl Cole broke up with her husband Ashley Cole, she found comfort in his arms.

The former So Solid Crew star is best known for cheating on Alesha Dixon with Javine and later ruining his relationship with the singer and mum of his child, by sleeping around once more.

This week, he insisted that X Factor’s Cheryl Cole likes the bad boys and that all the time she was supposed to be dating American dancer Derek Hough, she was secretly having a fling with him.

However, Cheryl Cole either doesn’t remember the relationship or is so worried about how it may affect her image that she is on PR patrol, as when she heard about Harvey’s claims, she took to Twitter to blast:

“Was this “relationship” happening in your head @harveyofficial?! Are you smoking something?”

She later insisted that she had only ever met the hunk on a few occasions, back when she was in Girls Aloud and he was still with Alesha.

Cole added:

“…@harveyofficial I think I’ve met you once maybe twice at public events and With your wife!! #sh*tjustgetsweirder”

But Harvey has a lot riding on this story and is either completely sure that it’s true, or is desperately trying to cling to his five minutes in the spotlight, because straight away he hit back saying:

“Do you actually want me to tweet some of the messages you emailed me @cherylcole pipe down and stop playing the saint in front of your fans.”

“I had your back @cherylcole untill you sent that sh*t, dissapointed in you if the public seen these emails you would end up with egg on your face.”

The singer then insisted that he is not doing this for attention and even claims that he has proof of their relationship, adding:

“And let’s get this straight @cherylcole I don’t need no hype of you! I’d rather go broke and work in sainsburys than talk about your personal sh*t.

“This is not a twitter beef I still have massive respect for @cherylcole but you shouldn’t of tweeted that knowing we both have personal messages to eachother #silenceinthecourt.”

At this point, Cheryl’s Twitter account went quiet and we are still waiting for her response on the issue.

Cheryl Cole has always kept her private life fairly private and there was a lot of speculation at one time that her so called relationship with Derek Hough was a ruse and now, it seems that the rumours may have been true.

Now magazine claims that after splitting from her cheating husband Ashley Cole back in 2010, she actually took up with Alesha Dixon’s ex MC Harvey.

The So Solid Crew star has told the publication that he was head over heels in love with the former X Factor judge and would have married her, had she agreed. He also explained that they were able to carry out their relationship in secret, because everyone thought she was seeing the American dancer.

It is not clear if Alesha knew about the affair, though she and Cheryl are close, so for the sake of their friendship we would hope Cole or Harvey would have broken the news.

Harvey began dating Mystique singer Dixon in 2000 and the two were married in 2005. However their happiness was short lived and in November 2006, the couple split after Alesha discovered that her new husband was having an affair with Javine Hylton.

But once a cheat, always a cheat and in September 2009, Hylton and Harvey separated due to Harvey’s alleged infidelity.

It seems that Cheryl always did like a bad boy!
