It seems like Chico Slimani isn’t going down to well with the rest of the Celebair team.
Apparently his chants of “It’s Chico time!”, “It’s meal time!” and “It’s disembarking time!”, are starting to grate heavily on the nerves of his fellow airline staff.
One insider told the Daily Star: “It won’t be very long until it’s Chico Time To Go Time. Everyone’s beginning to find him very annoying.” Read more & comment »

Former X Factor finalist Chico Slimani has revealed that he is to launch his own TV show, which will be in a Jim’ll Fix It Style.
He told RTÉ: “[I've got] a TV show coming up, a Chico-type TV show. I’m really looking forward to it.
“Basically, I’m a dream-maker. It’s a cross between Jim’ll Fix It and My Kind of People, with music thrown in for good measure, and little twists where people compete against each other.
“It’s making dreams come true, but having a whole heap of fun doing it.”
Rumours are spreading that former X factor finalist, Chico Slimani, has managed to get his newest song Curvy Cola Bottle, onto the soundtrack of the Sex In The City movie. Given that the movie is set to be one of next years biggest, I really hope this shoots him into the big time. Chico may not be the best singer around, but he is just so cute!
Here’s the video of the song, in case you missed it’s release earlier this year.
Former X Factor finalist Chico Slimani has revealed that he was inspired to write his new song, Curvy Cola Bottle Body, after he heard a bunch of young schoolgirls talking about their desire to be thinner.
The singer told Sky Showbiz: “I went on the net and started going into it, and there are models dying, people starving, so I didn’t want to concentrate on the problem. I wanted to concentrate on the solution, so size-zero’s gotta go.
“Cos, you know, us men like them swervy, curvy and shaped like an hourglass.” Read more & comment »
A few months ago I wouldn’t have believed it could happen, but X Factor finalist Chico Slimani has not only released his debut single but it is at the number one spot in the UK charts for the second week running!
Chico’s song ‘It’s Chico Time’ fought off stiff competition from Orson’s rocky No Tomorrow and the Pussycat Dolls’ Beep to stay on top of the pile.
Chico was hot on the promotion trail this week, trying to hold on to the number one spot and was even photographed falling off a table as he gave an impromtu tabletop dance at a press conference.
Chico Slimani may not be the best singer in the world but he certainly is entertaining!
Yipes! Things are hotting up in the Chico camp, aren’t they?
News that Chico’s loins have been hard at work producing Baby Chico was a shocker, but then I found out Chico Timehad actually got to number one in the UK charts this week! I don’t know whether to laugh or cry!
In all honesty, I’m pleased for the guy. When I spoke to Justin Watson-Hermes after the X-Factor auditions he told me that despite appearances, Chico is a genuinely warm and nice guy and that he went out of his way to take care of the other contestants. I think everybody saw that toward the end of X-Factor.
Yes, he’s a bit of a camera hog(!) and no, he’s not a great singer, but he’s got charisma enough to warm even Simon Cowell’s cold cold heart! So go on Chico! Make the most of your time at the top!
“Daniyela and I never looked at each other as anything more than soulmates until one night during X Factor. It was just the right time for us. She had been talking about having a baby and I’ve always wanted a baby.”
“The kids who dance on stage with me, The Chicettes, made me broody like crazy. But I wasn’t going to just go out and find a woman on the street. It had to be someone I could trust.”
“We’d been joking about what it would be like to have a baby together. She wanted one with green eyes and my legs and my body, but with her cheekbones. We laughed about it - then suddenly it happened.”
Seems like all Chico’s dreams have come true these last few months. Not only did he make it through to the X Factor finals but he also just released his first single, has performed on a sell out tour, and now is expecting his first son or daughter. A busy year for Chico, don’t you think!
“It wasn’t Chico Time. It has never been Chico Time. It will never be Chico Time.”
But they may have to eat their words this weekend, as it looks likely that former stripper and goat herder Chico Slimani is going to reach the number one spot in the UK singles chart with his debut single ‘It’s Chico Time’!
HMV’s Gennaro Castaldo said: “There’s been a growing feeling that Chico was leaving it a bit late to release a single following his X-Factor success, especially as Chantelle and Celebrity Big Brother have stolen the limelight in recent months.
“However, this first day sales performance shows that there is still a lot of interest in his rather engaging brand of entertainment.
“His challenge now is to show that he’s more than just a one-trick novelty act and that he has the talent and personality to fashion a successful pop career.”
Bookmaker William Hill is offering odds of 4/1 that Chico will have another number one single this year - but reckon his fame won’t last for long.
“We closed the book in Chico having a number one back in December as we felt he was a certainty and it looks like we will be proved right.
“But in our view his days are numbered,” said spokesman Rupert Adams.
X Factor Contestant Chico Slimani has revealed that while he is in Glasgow this week performing in the X factor tour he would love to meet ‘The One and settle down with a good Scottish woman!
“I’m really hoping I will meet Miss Right,” he told the Daily Record. “I want to fall in love with a Scottish woman. I like everything about them. I just love their attitude, their looks, everything.
“I want to get married to a Scot and then have lots of cute Scottish babies.”
The new film will draw on the X Factor star’s experiences as a former male stripper.
Screen Daily reports that ‘Lunchbox’ is described as a raunchy comedy and follows a stripping troupe’s European tour.
The film, co-written by Chico and his brother, actor JC Mac, and the movie’s director, will begin shooting in Europe in June. It is rumoured to also have Sharon Osbourne starring alonside Chico as a corrupt promoter.
Chico is also serving as co-producer on the film; the 34-year-old recently signed a record deal with BMG.

It seems that we were right about the future of Chico Slimani. No sooner had we heard the awful song ‘Its Chico Time’ than we knew he was destined to become the next Cheeky Girl of the pop world.
Just as The Cheeky Girls were signed soon after the Pop Stars show ended and allowed to release their catchy signature tune and then fade to obscurity (and bankruptcy) so has Chico been signed to follow in their footsteps.
Simon Cowells label Sony BMG have offered a deal to Chico which will see him release his first single ‘It’s Chico Time’ on the 13th of February.
I would love to shake the hand of Mark Hudson, Chico’s vocal coach in The X Factor who co-wrote the song with Chico. He most likely spent an hour or two with Chico penning this song, in the full knowledge that one day he would make many thousands of pounds in royalties.

Chico Slimani was tonight voted off the X factor, many would say its weeks too late!
I am a bit of a Chico fan, but even I have to admit that it was his time to go. If anyone else had left while Chico remained it would have made a farce of the whole show.
I believe that Chico may be one of the few reality TV contestants that can salvage an actual career after the initial hype of the X Factor dies down. I don’t predict him as a great musician or singer, but he is certainly comfortable enough in front of the camera for presenting or acting.
Tonight Chico seemed glad to have gotten so far, and took the decision well and with dignity. Its not all the X Factor contestants who have handled it so well!
