Chris Fountain teases Ricky Whittle about Strictly costumes

Dancing On Ice 2008: Chris Fountain

Former Hollyoaks star, Chris Fountain has been teasing his former co-star Ricky Whittle about his Strictly Come Dancing outfits.

Fountain told Whats On TV: “I have to watch [Strictly] because Ricky’s on there and Ali’s on there. They’re both like joint favourites now, I think.

“But I have been giving Ricky some abuse about his costumes, only because he did it to me when I did Dancing On Ice, so you’ve kind of got to do it. I said, ‘You’re doing really well mate but those shirts are horrendous, you’ve gotta sort it out’.”

Dancing On Ice: Chris Fountain Complains About Suzanne Shaws Win

Dancing On Ice 2008: Chris Fountain

Dancing On Ice runner up, Chris Fountain, has been complaining about Suzanne Shaws shock win and puts her success down to the publicity given to her injuries.

Chris told Star magazine: “I had a few injuries, but nothing that got publicised too much. There was a lot of stuff about Suzanne’s ribs and Suzanne’s ankle, but I didn’t want to be seen moaning about getting injured. It’s ice skating – you’re bound to get injured.

“I had bruises everywhere, but I just got on with it.” Read more & comment »

Chris Fountain May Write Autobiography

Dancing On Ice 2008: Chris Fountain

Dancing On Ice runner up, Chris Fountain, may become the latest celebrity to get paid a fortune to not write his own autobiography.

Chris revealed that he has been offered an obscene amount of money to tell some writer the story of his (quite short) life, while they then go away and do all the hard work.

He told the Daily Star: “I have done a lot despite being only 20. The money they are offering is pretty mad so who knows?

“It could all come off and be out in time for Christmas.”

Is anyone else wondering how Chris is going to stretch out tales of his Ice Hockey team, and life on Hollyoaks for a whole book? I’m not sure how riveting the story will be.

Dancing On Ice: Jason Gardiner Slams Finalists

Dancing On Ice 2008

TV’s real Mr Nasty, Jason Gardiner has hit out at the two celebrities most likely to win tonight’s Dancing On Ice final.

Jason is backing Coronation Street actress Zaraah Abrahams to win, but hasn’t many nice things to say about Suzanne Shaw or Chris Fountain.

His sharp tongue lashed out at Suzanne first when he told The News Of The World:

“She’s still using the sympathy vote which is unnecessary at this stage of the competition. Skating’s dangerous – Torvill and Dean are constantly getting hurt. In the end I feel most people yawn, ‘Oh God, she’s whingeing again.”

“It’s a negative strategy and she’s good enough to be able to stand on her work alone. The bottom line is everyone’s been hurt. It’s just the way it goes.”

Jason added he believes Hollyoaks actor Chris is selfish.

“He’s not a generous partner. It’s all about Chris. He’s a young lad and he’s in a self-consumed bubble,” he says. Read more & comment »

Dancing On Ice: Chris Fountain Hits Back At Unfair Advantage Claims

Dancing On Ice 2008: Chris Fountain

Dancing On Ice finalist, Chris Fountain has hit out at claims that due to his ice hocky experience, he had a massive advantage over the other competitors on this years show.

Chris told The Sun:

“Obviously, I had balance on the ice so I had a bit of an advantage. But at the same time that’s countered by me having to change my whole style and posture.

“I’m used to being bent over double for ice hockey, rather than keeping my back nice and straight.

“Also, I’ve pushed myself really hard and attempted more difficult moves — like the axel spin last week.

“Granted I’ve had a bit of experience, but at the same time I’ve tried to put in as much effort as any of the contestants.

“Suzanne and Zaraah are much more graceful than me. I’m getting there but it doesn’t come naturally to me.”

Suzanne agrees: “People might think Chris has an advantage. Others might say Zaraah and I have both danced before, so the competition is unfair on Chris. We’re all trying hard and he’s a great skater.” Read more & comment »

Dancing On Ice 2008: Chris Fountain

Anyone who has been watching ITV’s Dancing On Ice will know that Hollyoaks star, Chris Fountain, started the show head and shoulders above his competitors, many believe his extra skill was mostly due to his previous ice hockey skating experience.

However Chris has spoken out today claiming that he has had to work as hard as his competitors and that he had been pushed just as hard.

Speaking at ITV’s Television Centre in London, the 20-year-old said: “I suppose it gave me a general awareness of the ice, but I still don’t think I would have been scared to fall over because that’s just the type of person I am – I throw myself into anything.

“I think I’ve tried some really difficult stuff and I don’t feel like I’ve pushed myself less than anybody else. Read more & comment »

“We had to ban everyone from backstage because all you could hear was sniping and bitching.”

Dancing On Ice: Chris Fountain Lusting After Suzanne Shaw

Dancing On Ice 2008: Suzanne Shaw

Dancing On Ice sources have claimed that Hollyoaks actor, Chris Fountain is carrying a torch for former Hear’say singer, Suzanne Shaw.

One source told The Sun:

“We’ve all been giggling about Chris and Suzanne. They’ve been quite flirty with each other. He’s a single guy and she’s a very attractive girl. That’s the thing about this show – the girls look really sexy so the blokes’ jaws keep hitting the floor.”

Chris better watch out, as Suzanne is currently dating Radio One DJ, Jason King, and I can’t imagine he’d be too amused about this development!

Dancing On Ice 2008: Chris Fountain

Hollyoaks pin up Chris Fountain, 20, reveals his previous training as a hockey player has actually been a hindrance when learning the tricky routines for the new series of Dancing On Ice.

“I think I’m falling more than everybody else, my boots are a bit scratched and my laces are a bit knackered but everything’s going alright apart from that! The last time I skated before I started training for Dancing On Ice was about three years ago when I was playing hockey. I played hockey for two years for Bradford and I enjoyed it but it’s completely different to what I’m doing now. The blades are different, the stance is different, the speed and the way you use your arms is different, basically it’s like a completely different sport except you’re on the ice. The coach said it might have been easier if I couldn’t skate at all because they have to change what I already know and that’s kind of harder than having to learn it from scratch.”

Best known for his role as the rebellious teen Justin Burton in C4’s Hollyoaks, Chris had previously featured in a number of dramas including Where The Heart Is,The Royal, and Bob and Rose, and recently took centre stage in the BBC’s singing competition, Just the Two Of Us. Read more & comment »

Chris Fountain and Jo O’Meara Are Voted Off ‘Just The Two Of Us’

There have been many travesties in the world of reality TV, take the eviction of Maria Lawson from the X Factor while The Conway Sisters remained….awful!

But tonight almost matched that for unfairness. ‘Just The Two Of Us’ on BBC1 saw the public vote to keep celebrity duos Mark Moraghan and Natasha Hamilton, and Russell Watson and Sian Reeves in the show for tomorrow nights final while Chris Fountain and Jo O’Meara were sent home.

I just wonder….were the public watching the same show as me? Sian is not only mentally unstable, but she can’t hold a note! Russell may have a technically good voice but he is soul-less. His duet with Curtis Stigers tonight was in tune, but while Curtis sang with passion and emotion, Russell looked like a big cold fish. He rarely smiles, when he does it looks fake and all Sian does is witter relentlessly. Then if she doesn’t cry she always looks like she’s about to.

I just can’t bear watching them in the final, I think that at the start of the show Vernon Kay and Tess Daly should declare Mark and Natasha the winners, end the show early and the BBC could then resort to some old re runs of ‘Only Fools And Horses’ to fill the gap. It would be a whole lot more entertaining than watching ‘The Voice’ and ‘The Nervous Wreck’ for another night!
