At one time, Dancing On Ice co-host Christine Bleakley was ITV’s poster girl for, well, just about everything really. She was rather much like s**t in a field of cows; unavoidable…
However, since she and former The One Show co-presenter Adrian Chiles took over the Daybreak breakfast show on ITV1, the shine soon wore off as viewers stayed away in their droves. They were of course eventually replaced by Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones.
Christine went on to present DOI alongside Phillip Schofield, however, her contract with ITV is now due for renewal, and it’s been reported today that if she wants to keep her DOI job, she will have to take a whopping 70% pay cut. Read more & comment »

And today it’s been reported that the show’s co-host Christine Bleakley faces an uncertain future too given that her contract with ITV expires in June.

Christine Bleakley has admitted that the whole cast and crew of Dancing On Ice are ‘devastated’ that Gareth Thomas was eliminated from the ITV show last night, without even getting the chance to perform in the skate off.
The Welsh star took so ill while rehearsing his flying routine during dress rehearsals that it affected his first performance on the live show, leading to medics banning him from skating again yesterday. As a result, when he finished in the bottom two, bosses decided to scrap the skate off and send the rugby player home.

Dancing on Ice presenter Christine Bleakely is facing a new cancer scare – she recently had three “suspect” moles removed and in 2009 had an abnormal smear test result – as it’s feared she may have been exposed to deadly asbestos.
