The artist formerly known as Christopher Biggins will now be referred to as simply ‘Biggins.’

Biggins will reprise his Widow Twankey role in Aladdin this Christmas – and posters at promoting the show at Plymouth’s Theatre Royal are being printed with his new name.

Biggins told The Times: “I love being like Marilyn or Sabrina or Madonna — and my breasts are bigger.”

His agent Jonathan Shalit said: “It seems much easier because that is how he is known. If you ever walk down the street with him, cab drivers are forever shouting ‘Oi Biggins!’. He is called Biggins in the BBC One Lottery show so it makes sense to make this permanent.”

I prefer king of the jungle myself!

Former I’m A Celebrity winner Christopher Biggins says that Jade Goody raised cancer awareness during her very public battle with the disease.

Speaking after taking part in a charity walk in high heels ahead of Cancer Research UK’s Race For Life – said: “I think that because Jade was so publicly in the spotlight for having cancer, and of course because the cancer got the better of her in the end, it was very emotional.”

“I think her telling people or making people aware of screening that can help alleviate this disease has done wonders.”

He went on: “It’s marvellous and I think the more people that can do that the better. If you do catch it early enough, you can do things to eradicate the illness you may have.”

Christopher Biggins has admitted that BBC bosses have asked him to cut down on drink in advance of his appearance on Comic Relief special, Let’s Dance.

Biggins, who will perform with former Pop Idol judge Nicki Chapman, told PA: “I had to go out to lunch today and they sent me a text saying please don’t drink too much because we can’t bear to have the insurance if you fall!”

Biggins will be joined on the show by Jo Brand, Dragons from Dragons’ Den (Peter Jones, Duncan Bannatyne, Deborah Meaden), Blue Peter presenters (Tim Vincent, Anthea Turner, Mark Curry, Diana Louise Jordan, Peter Duncan, Peter Purves, Janet Ellis, Helen Skelton) and many more.

Let’s Dance For Comic Relief starts tonight at 6:35pm on BBC One.

Christopher Biggins enters a week of culinary showdowns with ex-MP Edwina Currie, TV presenter Julia Bradbury and Hollyoaks heart-throb Phillip Olivier. Julia throws a rollercoaster of an evening with enough food, wine and dancing to make Biggins sick, Edwina furious and Phillip extremely hungover; and that’s just the first night. The rest of the week involves a cheeky demand for one host to go topless and some blatant cheating in the kitchen. All the guests score their host out of 10, and after the final dinner, the winner is revealed and picks up £1,000 for the charity of their choice.

King Of The I’m A Celebrity jungle, Christopher Biggins will be reunited with his campmate, Anna Ryder Richardson in an upcoming edition of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

Anna let it slip to radio presenter Nigel Williams that the pair had agreed to take part in the show.

She said: “It’s actually… I don’t know if I can say actually.

“It’s Who Wants to be A Millionaire? and I’m really stupid so that’s a bit worrying!”

She added: “Biggins is very clever.”

Christopher Biggins has admitted that he was seriously nervous about entering the jungle this year, and considered it to be a very risky move.

Biggins told the Daily Mail:

“I could sit back and watch my name slide down the billings, or I could get out there and prove to everyone that I was capable of more. It was high risk, of course it was. My worst fear was being voted out first, and being utterly humiliated.”

However, Biggins knew he had been a hit when he entered the Ivy restaurant last week, and received a standing ovation from the diners.

“The place just came to a halt. Everyone was shouting and cheering. It was quite, quite mad,” he explained. “I was with Joan Collins and even when we were at the table, people were throwing roses. My God, it was amazing.

“Then on Wednesday I was at the comedy awards. Jonathan Ross was telling me how much he loved watching me. Everyone was clapping me on the back. It was quite exhausting.”

The King of the jungle, Christopher Biggins, has landed his first TV jon since leaving I’m A Celebrity.

Biggins will be joining the team at GMTV next week, and will be presenting viewers with the latest showbiz gossip and TV pick of the day.

A spokesman said: “He’s replacing Richard Arnold while he’s on holiday next week and will be back on screen in January.”

Biggins makes his debut on the show on December 11.

King of the jungle, Christopher Biggins, has admitted that he would love to host his very own TV show.

“I would very much like to have my own series. And I would like to think I have shown those in high positions in television and in the industry there is more to Christopher Biggins other than just a pantomime dame,” he told the Sunday Mirror.

“I mean a pantomime dame is a very important part of my life. I love it. I adore it. I work very hard. And it’s great.

“But in a way, if I’m honest, I wanted to show people by going into the jungle that there is another side to me. I think I have proved that – even if it was by eating kangaroo b******s!”

I would love to see Biggins back on TV. If some TV exec out there is seriously considering letting Jade Goody back onto our screens, then surely someone will snap up Christopher Biggins?

The final three contestants were Christopher Biggins, Janice Dickinson and Jay Brown.

For a moment, I thought ‘Sicknote’ Biggins would be exempt from winning on medical grounds – he certainly seemed to be when it came to the Bushtucker challenges!

All the same, Biggins took on the final Bushtucker challange with great gusto – eating a gruesome final meal consisting of cockroaches, kangaroo testicles and grubs.

I don’t know what you thought of Biggins before I’m A Celebrity, but this show has a way of bringing out the best in people. Certainly, the guy has a lot more strength of character and charisma than I ever gave him credit for.

Watching him back on his various trials, he was unwavering in his determination to get involved. Certainly when compared with Janice Dickinson.

I’m not normally squeamish, but the thought of camper than camp Christopher Biggins getting his bum waxed is making it very difficult for me to hold my lunch down right now!

Last night in the I’m A Celebrity Bush Telegraph Biggins revealed:

“I sugar. It’s a bit like a jelly and a bit like waxing but easier and they put it on and the hairs just come off.

“It’s an old Egyptian thing and I go to a guy in Soho and he sugars my back and he sugars the hair from my nostrils and he sugars my crack and, yeah, it’s good.

“Gives me a good old trim and you come out all fresh.”

He added: “I went just before I came out here because I knew there were lots of creepy crawlies who would come gathering in my wotsits.”

I can tell you one thing, that guy in Soho can’t be getting paid enough to endure that.
