Speaking to The Sun, excited new mum Claudia said, “We have a beautiful baby boy. He has twinkly eyes and extraordinary eyebrows.

“His name is Arthur. I think I will be calling him Art or Pumpkin. Or Rabbit.”

Claudia, who gave birth last Wednesday, already has two children; son Jake, eight, and daughter Matilda, five.

Claudia, who already has two children, Jake, eight, and five-year-old Matilda, with husband Kris Thykier, is said to be “overjoyed” with the arrival of her new son.

Claudia and Kris welcomed their new son last night, but as yet, the baby’s name hasn’t been revealed.

Claudia, who quit her role on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ spin-off show ‘It Takes Two’ because she would be too busy with the new baby, announced her pregnancy in March.

A source close to the couple revealed, “Kris and Claudia were ecstatic when they discovered there would be a new addition to the family.

“I think it was always part of Claudia’s plan to have a large brood.”

Claudia Winkleman talks about her pregnancy cravings, Brucie’s Knighthood, missing the forthcoming series of Strictly – and being chased by a penguin.

She tells Close magazine:

You said you’ve put on 3st – what cravings are you having?

All food. I’m going to be frank – I’m eating butter with a spoon. Normally, when I’m not pregnant, I eat a lot of sushi and houmous, I’m really healthy. But the minute I see that blue line I just want! We had a morning when my husband said: “Baby, can I get you anything?” and I said: “A pint of ice cream.” Why not?

Anything you’re missing from your pre-pregnancy life?

I miss heels. I always think I might as well give them away because I’m never going to wear them again and I’m just going to live as some sort of earth mother, barefoot and breastfeeding until the child is six and I’ll have no time for eyeliner and high heels. Then the baby gets to about three months and I say: “Can I go out in a pair of ridiculous shoes now?”

You worked with Bruce Forsyth on Strictly, were you thrilled to see him knighted?

Isn’t it brilliant? I mean, about time! He’s adorable and I can’t believe I’m not doing It Takes Two. I can’t really talk about Strictly without getting very hormonal and weird.

Will you miss not doing this year’s show?

It’s just bad timing. I feel ridiculously sad about it. I loved being a part of the show. With older kids the timings really worked because I could take them to school, pick them up and do their homework. Then I’d race to the TV centre, put on a lot of orange make-up and talk about the Foxtrot – and still get home to put them to bed. But this pony or goat or whatever it is that is in my tummy will be too little.

We bet you’ll miss your dance lessons with Strictly head judge Len Goodman?

Me and Len have got a deal – I think he’ll probably come round, and we’ll do a bit of dancing while I’m holding Rita or Neville, whatever we call it.

So your new TV show King Of is quite wacky – are you enjoying it?

I can’t quite believe that they’re letting me do it on telly – it might be a disaster! Ten years ago or something, my husband [film producer Kris Thykier] turned to me in a rather relaxed manner and said: “King of nuts?” I said: “It’s a pistachio,” and he went: “It absolutely isn’t!” and then we had a 20-minute debate. It’s basically like playing favourites. We made a pilot with Miranda Hart where we did king of stationery to the point where I think there were members in the audience weeping because I couldn’t let it be Post-its! It’s a ridiculous show.

As the host you always have the final word – do you think that’s fair?

It is completely unfair, but I am so pregnant I don’t think anyone can disagree with me!

Now, on a totally unrelated topic – we heard there was a run-in with a penguin while you were filming King Of…

Yes, I was chased by a penguin. We were doing “king of jobs” with Chris Evans and the comedian Sarah Millican and I said, “Please welcome Emma” who is in charge of the penguins at the zoo. Then out comes Emma with Charlie, her tiny little penguin, and he chased me around the studio – it was quite scary. Chris Evans said the penguin was after me because I’m walking like one as I’m so pregnant. I was terrified, properly terrified. I literally thought she’d come out, we’d stroke the penguin and say, “Thank you” but it was actually a bit more bonkers.

And lastly, what is the king of TV shows in your opinion?

Question Time. We all know that – you can’t miss an episode because then you feel stupid! And I’m in love with David Dimbleby. He’s the king of men!

Queen of Chat Claudia Winkleman has admitted that she is stepping down from Strictly Come Dancing show It Takes Two.

The 39 year old TV presenter is currently pregnant with her third child and will only give birth just a few weeks before the new series starts this autumn.

She told The Sun’s Buzz magazine:

“I love Strictly and It Takes Two more than life itself…I can’t believe I won’t be doing it, but there’s just no way. My baby, knock on wood, will be six weeks old…I can’t go to work every night.”

Claudia is very excited about the addition to her family, however. She added:

“Yes, I really wanted a third. I’d have ten if I was allowed.” And she says that the rough patch in her marriage with husband Kris is over: “Lots of people have ups and downs and we had a down…we’re on an up. It’s all good.”

It is expected that the ‘Film Programme’ presenter will still co-host the Strictly results show with Tess Daly when the dance show returns.

Claudia Winkleman has admitted that she thinks comedic Ann Widdecombe could win ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The 38-year-old TV presenter recently landed a role co-hosting the ‘Strictly’ Sunday night results show alongside Tess Daly and confessed that the public “can’t get enough” of the former Tory MP.

Claudia told BANG Showbiz: “Ann is fabulous. We absolutely love Ann on the show and the public seemingly can’t get enough of her. I don’t see why she can’t go the whole way and win it. She’s brilliant.

“My predictions are rubbish though. Last year, I swore Martina Hingis was going to win and she was out first so you must never rely on me!”

Claudia also explained won’t follow the lead of X Factor stars Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole and engage in a ‘dress-off’ with her co-host Tess each week.

Speaking at the Galaxy National Book Awards at BBC Television Centre last night (10.11.10), she said: “Nobody gives a monkeys what I wear, and that’s the best way. I have a stylist and she’s amazing but I don’t feel the pressure to look a certain way. It’s all about the high street for me until I get to the ankles and then I go designer.”

Series eight of Strictly Come Dancing will return with a live Saturday night competition followed by a Sunday night results show in which viewers will see their favourite competitors saved from elimination.

The Sunday night results show will be presented together by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

BBC Controller of Entertainment Commissioning Mark Linsey says “Strictly pioneered the Sunday night results format and this year we’re back with the perfect finish to the weekend. Tess and Claudia were the obvious choices to present and we’re really proud that a fresh Strictly will return with must-see, family event television.”

The 30-minute results show will not feature a dance off, but will feature a pro-dance performance and the all-important elimination.

The first live competition shows will be split over October 1st and 2nd and won’t be followed by a results show. Instead, the judges will score the competitors to create a leader board, which will be carried over to the second week. Then the show will follow a Saturday night competition followed by Sunday night results format. This will allow audiences two weeks to decide on their favourite before voting.

Claudia Winkleman says “I’m properly excited about working alongside Tess on the Sunday results show. I’ll be fully immersed in all things tango and sequin as I’m still hosting It Takes Two weeknights on BBC2 too. They’ve just told me the line-up. One word. Excited.”

Series eight of Strictly Come Dancing will launch with a one-hour show on September 11th, and the first live show will transmit on October 1st. The first results show hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly will transmit on October 10th.

Claudia Winkleman has been lined up to present this year’s Strictly Come Dancing results show, after Bruce Forsythe said the extra appearance tires him too much.

Claudia already fronts the show’s spin off ‘It Takes Two’ and will now join Tess Daly on BBC One, to record the weekly results show straight after the main show airs.

Bruce told BBC bosses that he would be unable to front both installments, as he then ends up so tired that he spends his entire Sunday in bed.

An insider told The Sun: “Claudia is the perfect choice as she already has a history with Strictly.

“It will be all about girl power with Tess at the helm as well.”

So I’m watching Strictly Come Dancing tonight and as if Bruce’s jokes aren’t bad enough, Tess Daly’s wonky eye and unbalanced boobs freaked me out big time. It doesn’t help that she can’t actually present live TV shows, with any semblance of flair.

Tess obviously came from the Kate Thornton school of TV presenting and believes that all lines must appear scripted and any sign of human warmth or spontaneity must be avoided at all costs.

On the other hand Claudia Winkleman, who presents the show’s spinoff ‘It Takes Two’, is quirky, genuinely funny and both her eyes look the same. Can I suggest her as a replacement for Mrs Vernon Kaye on next year’s series?

In an interview with Celebs On Sunday Claudia admitted:

“I wasn’t sure how I was going to react when I first met him. I thought I might end up putting my hair in bunches, and scratching myself – that’s when you can tell I really like a boy, I start twiddling my hair, and I do it with him, I think. He’s so tall and strong and I come up to his knees, but occasionally he’ll look down and smile at me.”
