Oooh you are awful, but I like you…
As we saw in last night’s Channel 5 highlights show – aside from Deana’s rather awful drunken behaviour – Big Brother housemate Luke S added fuel to the Are You In Fact Gay? fire by displaying a rather comprehensive knowledge of shoes…
Now of course, this issue of Luke S’s true sexuality has been rumbling ever since he went into the house, given that he’s obsessed with his looks, wears make-up, considers himself very buff and generally carries out – both for himself and for other housemates – a good deal of grooming, and were it not for his ‘romance’ with Ashleigh, I think the question would be answered.
But as to his almost encyclopaedic knowledge of women’s shoes, if it were that he worked in a shoe shop, fair enough, and though I’m somewhat reluctant to stereotype, do straight men usually know that much about women’s shoes?
To be honest, I’m a woman and I don’t know that much about women’s shoes. And I know that as far as my husband’s concerned, if you put a gun to his head and asked him to name three types of women’s shoes, you’d end up having to shoot him because he just wouldn’t know… Read more & comment »

Yesterday was Day 60 in the Big Brother house, and of course, it culminated in Becky Hannon being evicted from the house, and Conor McIntyre choosing to leave the BB compound, £50,000 richer.
As we reported earlier, his fellow White Room housemate Luke S was far from impressed with Conor’s actions in taking the money and running – even though he would clearly have done so himself had he not been just a fraction of a second too late in pressing his buzzer – and he later branded Conor “a lying b***ard.”
However, even as a shell shocked Conor was still coming to terms with the whirlwind of his win and eviction, when he appeared on Bit on the Side, he said, “I wasn’t going to press the button… but this money is going to change my life.”
Conor explained, “Luke said ‘I’m going to press it’, I said ‘What about Ash?’, but he kept on ‘I’m going to press it’… so I thought, you don’t care about Ash, I’m going to take it.” Read more & comment »

Last night’s live edition of Big Brother was one of the best, most nail biting editions I’ve seen for a good long while, and yet again, it was further proof that the show is very much back on the TV map.
In short, though this series is nearing its end, Big Brother is most assuredly back, in every sense of the word!
I was literally on the edge of my seat when Conor and Luke S had just one minute to decide if they were willing to give up their place in the house in return for £50,000…
And evidently, both were, but as Conor buzzed a nanosecond before Luke S, he of course won the money.

It’s been revealed today that during tonight’s Big Brother eviction show – when either Ashleigh, Luke A, Deana or Becky will leave – there’s to be another ousting, but with a big twist!
Luke S and Conor, who are of course in The White Room, will be presented with a massive dilemma tonight in the finale of The White Room task…
They will be told that one of them can walk away with half the prize money, totaling £50,000, but only on the condition that they leave the house immediately!
The White Room housemate who remains will have won a guaranteed place in the show’s final, which takes place on Monday, August 13th… Read more & comment »

As we reported yesterday, Big Brother once again pitted the main housemates against The White Room dwellers in a game of Musical Charades…
The Housemates in the main house listened to a song and then had to dance along while acting out the song’s “lyrics, style, tempo and emotion.”
Their musical interpretation was then viewed by the housemates in The White Room, who had to guess what song was being played.
If The White Room bods failed to guess at least half of the songs correctly, they were told they would receive a punishment later in the day, and sure enough, The White Room folks failed, meaning they had to await news of their punishment… Read more & comment »

Yesterday, which was Day 57, Big Brother launched The White Room task, which of course saw Sara, Conor and Luke S entering the special room…
Once inside, they were told that the last person to leave the room would be guaranteed a place in the show’s final, which is a little under a fortnight away. However, it became clear from the get go that Sara doesn’t think she has any hope of winning against the super competitive boys.
And literally within minutes of being inside the room, she was already eyeing up the red button, which, if pressed, allows the housemate who pushed it out of the room, but of course, that person then gives up the chance to win a free pass to the final.
What the trio don’t know yet is that they’ll also have a chance to win £25,000, but personally, I doubt there’s anything that’ll make Sara stay in there for the duration… Read more & comment »

Today is of course a big day in the Big Brother house, because it’s Day 1 of The White Room task, and the three lucky – or unlucky, depending how it pans out – housemates who have gone into the room are Sara, Conor and Luke S.
The first the housemates knew of The White Room was when BB gathered them all to the sofas earlier today and explained that the housemates who had received the fewest nominations to date in the series would have a chance to win a “money can’t buy prize.”
Those housemates were Scott, Sara, Conor and Luke S, however, only three of them could go into The White Room… Read more & comment »

As fans of Big Brother will know, during the recent Selfless Deeds task – which, rather as the title intimates required the housemates to make personal sacrifices – the only housemate who didn’t get a letter from home was Deana Uppal…
And that’s because her fellow housemate Ashleigh, whose challenge was to not swear, said f**k some 59 seconds into her task.
Everyone else however passed their challenges, so all the housemates except Ashleigh got to draw a letter at random out of a post box, and as mentioned, Deana’s was the only one that didn’t get pulled out.
She was of course upset about it – poor Deana seems to get the sh***y end of every stick in there doesn’t she? – but she didn’t hold a grudge against Ashleigh over it.
However, Ashleigh felt so bad – as did Conor, but more on that in a moment – she approached Big Brother and asked if there was anything she could do to get Deana’s letter… Read more & comment »

It’s Day 41 in the Big Brother house, and the housemates woke this morning to find the house had been transformed with a Wild West styly theme, complete with cacti and straw bales, and of course, costumes.
Most of the housemates were excited about the task, with the exception of Luke S who hasn’t yet forgiven BB for duping him yesterday, and Adam wasn’t overly impressed either, saying, “I hate the wild, wild west.”
BB began the task by asking whichever housemate was “most at home where the buffalo roam” come to Diary Room, and an excited Conor put himself forward, prompting sarcastic Becky to remark, “Are there buffalos in Ireland?”
Anyway, the task will feature the housemates splitting into three teams; The Good, The Bad and The Really Ugly, all of whom will be searching for gold.
Conor is the sheriff, and he picked Caroline as his deputy which, to everyone’s horror, means they’ll be “calling the shots” for two whole days… Read more & comment »
