Oh Big Brother, you are an evil genius…
It’s been revealed via the show’s live feed on Twitter that this afternoon, the big fella gathered the housemates on the sofas to hear all about the latest rule break.
And it was that both Conor and Deana have – separately, though I probably didn’t need to add that – been talking about nominations, and by way of punishment, Big Brother is making them do laundry together, “until further notice.”
And so as I predicted, today’s peace and harmony didn’t last as a fuming Conor berated Deana for talking about him behind his back, which was how come she broke the no talking about nominations rule.
Conor broke the rule last night when he jubilantly said, “Keep on putting me up f**kers, I’m going nowhere…” Read more & comment »

Last night, Shievonne Robinson of course left the house, and Deana Uppal was not impressed that her arch nemesis Conor McIntyre had stayed.
Speaking to Adam, Luke A and Lauren, Deana said, “I just wanted the result to be the other way around.”
But Luke A remarked, “I think it’s better for us this way,” but Deana was having none of it, adding, “I understand what you’re saying, but he’s persuasive, people will suck up to him again because he’s a funny lad and he’s survived three times.
“He’s got three people that follow him.”
Adam retorted, “He wouldn’t be up so many times if he was so persuasive…” Read more & comment »

As fans of Big Brother will of course know, Shievonne Robinson became the latest evictee from the house last night, which of course meant that Conor McIntyre was saved to live at least another week of BB life.
And what’s quite remarkable about that is that just last Monday, when the nominations reveal was made and we heard that Shievonne and Conor were going head to head this week, it seemed a foregone conclusion that Conor would leave…
There’s no doubt that he was Britain’s most hated man following his Deana rant, and the tidal wave of hatred towards him became quite scary at times, and I was genuinely concerned for his safety at one point.
But then Shievonne began sowing the seeds of her own undoing by being paranoid and targeting Deana pretty much all week… Read more & comment »

It’s been reported today that Labour MP Keith Vaz, who’s chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee, has called for MPs to debate allegations of bullying and racist remarks allegedly made in this series of Big Brother.
Mr Vaz’s action was prompted following the latest hoohar in which Shievonne apparently accused Deana of “playing the race card” to get sympathy from her fellow housemates.
In addition, he urged TV watchdog Ofcom to “swiftly investigate” whether Channel 5 broke broadcasting rules by airing heated exchanges between housemates, and for broadcasting what some have deemed to be offensive words and/or actions.
For instance, everyone of course knows that viewers have complained about Conor’s rant over Deana, so we don’t need to go there again. They’ve also complained that Caroline called Adam “a ridiculous gorilla” and days later, said of him, “Look at him, like Martin Luther King, preaching to his people…” Read more & comment »

Though the Rules Are For Fools task is barely underway, a constantly giggling Caroline and the man of her dreams Conor are already in trouble for breaking the rules, and so is Deana who displayed a rare streak of independence by flouting the no eating without using tongs rule.
Just to recap the task so far, Adam, Luke S and Luke A are Wardens, and they have to patrol for, and punish, any rule breaks.
When they detect a rule break, they have to issue tickets to the law breakers, and persistent offenders can be sent to the Punishment Area where they’re set tasks such as painting coal white… Read more & comment »

Nominations were announced in the Big Brother house last night with Conor and Shievonne gearing up to face the public vote this week. At the minute and after all the arguing with Deana, Conor is the 8/11 favourite to leave with Shievonne quoted at 1/1 with William Hill. However, both of this week’s potential evictees have threatened to walk over the last week and bookies think there is a fair chance that they will keep their promise and are offering odds of 5/1 that either of them walk before Friday.
“Conor is up for the chop again and looks likely to go but at the rate Shievonne is going we may well be up for another shock this week. She has started to grate on some of her fellow housemates and that goes for the public as well,” said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.

Conor McIntyre has revealed that he is considering leaving Big Brother.
The personal trainer was nominated for eviction yesterday – again – and faces the public vote with fellow housemate Shievonne Robinson. However he may not wait around to see if he makes it through to next week or not, as he is considering leaving of his own accord he has confessed.

OFCOM have reportedly received more than 1,000 complaints from concerned viewers, over a recent row aired on Big Brother.
On the channel 5 show last month, Northern Irish man Conor McIntyre was seen screaming at Indian beauty queen Deana Uppal and was later warned for the aggression he displayed when addressing his fellow housemate.
On June 25th the personal trainer shouted at the weeping female brandishing her epilator and yelling:
‘Get your epilator and stick it up your arse. We don’t give a f**k! Stick it up her f**king m**ge, stupid b**tard.

Yesterday of course saw Conor and Shievonne learning that they’re facing eviction this week, and I would say it’s a foregone conclusion that Conor will be the one leaving…
However, the nominations reveal left a very bad taste in Shievonne’s mouth, and she wanted to spit it out, metaphorically, all over Deana, who she seems to blame for the outcome of this week’s nominations.
The fact that Adam, Luke S, Becky and Scott also had to nominate yesterday seems to have passed Shievonne by – but with regard to Adam, she expected him to nominate her and seems therefore to be ‘over’ it with him – so vehement was she in how she broached the subject with Deana… Read more & comment »

It’s been reported by the Daily Star today that TV watchdog Ofcom has received a total of 1,108 complaints from Big Brother viewers about incidents that have taken place in this year’s show…
There are three issues that viewers have complained about, including of course Conor’s rant about Deana in which he – and these are the paper’s words, not mine – “threatened to ‘punch’ Deana Uppal and sexually assault her with her epilator.”
Another complaint concerns Caroline calling Adam “a ridiculous gorilla” and former housemate Victor Ebuwa using the word “retards” about this year’s housemates when he appeared on Bit on the Side.
So Ofcom is now investigating the series to establish if it has breached its “harm and offence” rules which state that “broadcasters must ensure that any material they air that may cause offence to viewers is justified by the context…” Read more & comment »
