Kerry Katona will reportedly be the highest paid celebrity on the 2011 series of Dancing On Ice.

Sources suggest the troubled reality TV star will receive a whopping £60,000 for competing on the ITV show, even though she may not get past the first round. In a twist this year, viewers will be allowed to eliminate four of the sixteen celebrities, before they even take to the ice.

Also topping the list of high earners, Loose Women’s Denise Welch and former Coronation Street actor Steven Arnold will both bring in £50,000.

The News Of The World reports that most other stars (including Richard and Judy’s daughter Chloe Madeley) will be paid £40,000 but three minor skaters (EastEnder’s actor Sam Attwater, Nickolodeon host Laura Hamilton and Chris Moyles’ Radio 1 sidekick “Comedy Dave” Vitty) will receive a paltry £20,000 for the show’s duration.

A source told the newspaper:

“Kerry and Denise are our best signings for a long time.

“They are brilliant, outspoken characters. But Dancing On Ice is a huge commitment and Kerry, Denise and Steven all wanted top money.”

Kerry has become the first celebrity to sustain a major injury. It has been reported that the mum of four cracked two ribs during training.

Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner has denied reports that he has been sacked from the ITV skating show.

The caustic tongued star was the cause of hundreds of complaints during last year’s series when he compared competitor Sharron Davies to faecal matter. Sources suggested last week that ITV bosses are planning to replace him with Louie Spence from Pineapple Dance Studios.

Writing on his Twitter account yesterday Jason insisted that the rumours are just that. He said:

”There has been nothing official from ITV about replacing me on DOI next year with Louie or anyone else,” Jason wrote. “Press make up what they want always!”

Former Dancing On Ice winner Gaynor Faye suffered an injury to her chin and needed stitches as she rehearsed for the first night of the UK wide skating tour.

The actress, who won the 2006 series of the ITV show, was rehearsing with her partner Matt Evers in Sheffield when she fell and split her chin.

She told the Sheffield Telegraph: “It shows how dangerous this sport is really. I was skating on my own and toe picking – and fell straight on to the ice, flat out.

“I was taken up to casualty, in my costume, with eyelashes on. I managed to get my boots off. But they were a bit shocked when I walked in at Sheffield Northern General.

“They got me in quite quickly and I had to have three stitches. I’ve got a skater’s chin at last. It’s a shame this happened – it’s a blip. But I’m back.”

Dancing On Ice finalist Gary Lucy snubbed show judge Jason Gardiner during Sunday night’s final.

Presenter Phillip Schofield revealed that the Hollyoaks star refused to even shake Gardiner’s hand after the caustic tongued judge branded him ‘boring.’

Writing on his Twitter page, Phillip revealed: “Jason went to shake Gary’s hand at the end and Gary was having none if it! There may have been words.”

Yesterday, Jason revealed his fears that he may not be asked to return for next year’s Ice series.

Hayley Tamaddon puts her success on this year’s Dancing On Ice, down to a self help book titled ‘The Secret.’

The former Emmerdale star was given the book by former Ice winner Suzanne Shaw and it recommends that people write their goals on Post-It notes and stick them in visible spots. So Hayley began sticking notes saying ‘Hayley and Daniel win Dancing On Ice 2010′ all over her house.

Hayley told The Sun:

“Suzanne gave me The Secret saying, ‘Read this and your life will change’.

“It teaches you how to ask for the things you want in life – and then you will get them.

“You write little notes and stick them all over your house.

“And my first ever Post-It in May 2009 said, ‘Hayley and Daniel win Dancing on Ice 2010′.”

Hayley especially wanted to be paired with pro skater Daniel Whiston as the pair had been pals in school.

She added:

“I rang Dan and told him and he wouldn’t believe it, but I made him go out and buy the book and he started to believe it.

“Then on the day we got put together it was a massive shock.”

Now that they’ve won, Hayley bought Daniel a special gift to commemorate their victory. Daniel revealed:

“She bought me some new skating blades.

“We have a motto saying, ‘Team work makes the dream work’, so Hayley had one blade engraved with, ‘Team work MADE the dream work’. On the other blade she wrote ‘Hayley and Dan 2010.”

This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford has admitted that she auditioned to compete in this year’s Dancing On Ice.

During series winner Hayley Tamaddon’s interview on This Morning, Langsford admitted that she tried out and was turned down for the show.

As Tamaddon talked about the producers calling he and confirming that she was on the reality TV show,Langsford laughed: “That was the call that I was supposed to get.”

Tamaddon’s partner Daniel Whiston joked: “Next year Ruth. Me and you, we’ll do it.”

Ruth will be appearing on Marco Pierre White’s Kitchen Burnout show later this year.

Dancing On Ice winner Hayley Tamaddon has confessed that she “cried like a baby” after last night’s show.

The Emmerdale star triumphed over Gary Lucy and Kieron Richardson in last night’s final, as she impressed judges and viewers alike with her high flying routine followed by an emotional Bolero.

Writing about her triumph on Twitter this morning, Tamaddon said: “Oh my god! You guys! We did it! We flipping did it! You are all the best and me and Dan are so grateful! I cried like a baby.”

“Gary and Kieron were amazing last night. It was tough, but I am so happy and will never ever forget last night for as long as I live.

“The biggest thanks and hugs go to all of you from me and Dan. We really are on cloud 9.”

Dancing On Ice pals Kieron Richardson and Danniella Westbrook are planning to recover from the strain of the ice skating show, by taking a trip to Las Vegas.

Kieron, who came third in last night’s final, admitted that their skating partners Brianne Delcourt and Matthew Gonzalez would be joining them too.

Richardson told The Sun:

“Danniella and I have holidays planned – she’s taking me to Las Vegas.

“Brianne is coming as well, along with Danniella’s skating partner Matt. She’s going to show me the town.”

Caustic tongued Jason Gardiner fears that Dancing On Ice bosses may not have him back on next year’s series.

After sparking hundreds of complaints from viewers with comments such as ” you are like faecal matter that won’t flush,” Gardiner has brought much controversy to this year’s run. He now fears that his rude commentary and rift with fellow judge Karen Barber could lead to him being dropped from the judging panel.

He told The Sun:

“It hasn’t been a very easy year for me. Producers might turn around and say they don’t need that kind of heat on a family show.”

On Karen Barber Jason, 44, added: “I’m not in her good books. Any of us are replaceable. I’ve heard they want to try new things next year.”

What a shock result! Hayley Tamaddon and Daniel Whiston have become the winners of this year’s Dancing On Ice series.

Well….actually….it wasn’t shocking at all because the Emmerdale star has been the favourite to win since week one, thus contributing to one of the least exciting finals ever!

On tonight’s final Daniel and Hayley performed in the air, their popular Jai Ho routine and their version of Torvill and Dean’s Bolero which was completely enchanting. Hayley has been a consistently top-notch skater and dancer, and her chemistry with Daniel Whiston may have been an unfair advantage (the two have been friends for years), but she was clearly light years ahead of the others from the outset.

Gary Lucy was gracious in his defeat and congratulated Hayley on her win, insisting that the actress deserved the trophy as she has shone since her first performance.
