Daniel Pearce has admitted that his history with reality TV band ‘One True Voice’ has tarnished his singing career ever since.
Daniel, who will appear on this Saturday’s X Factor show, told The Sun: “Going on the reality show was a huge decision because it didn’t go according to plan last time.
X Factor contestant Daniel Pearce, has admitted that his girl has put him on a diet so he looks his best when performing at bootcamp.
He told The Sun: “My partner’s put me on a diet that has been working, which I will try to stick to.”
He also chatted about why he has kept his purple mohican for this stage of the show.
He said: “It’s part of who I am. I like to do things differently – and it so happens that by the time of auditions it was the length that I could start blow-drying and straightening it.”
Daniel Pearce won Popstars The Rivals and made it through to the boyband ‘One True Voice.’ They famously flopped and Daniel left to pursue a solo career.

Daniel won a place in One True Voice, the band which rivalled Girls Aloud in 2002, however they soon sank to obscurity and now Daniel wants another bite of the cherry.
Daniel is not truly an amateur though and it is that fact which may cause him problems in the ITV show. After leaving One True Voice he went on to star in West End musical Jailhouse Rock and has also been a backing singer for big-name stars such as Craig David.
