Well, it’s final night on Celebrity Big Brother and Jack Tweedy and Danielle Lloyd have been the first celebrities to be evicted from the house.

And if you thought Jo O’Meara’s interview last night was uncomfortable, then Danielle and Jack’s was a whole lot worse.

Danielle didn’t seem to be doing herself any favours with a permanent smirk on her face, and Jack seemed frozen in terror with one of his arms sort of suspended in mid-air. I felt a little bit sorry for him.

Both were subjected to the same footage that Jade and Jo faced, but asked tougher questions – like: “How do you think Shilpa will react to this, because we’ll have to show it to her later on.”

And both seemed to handle things pretty well. Jack – a bit player in the whole incident – explained very well that he had disliked Shilpa at the start but got to know and like her over time. Danielle looked less comfortable when she claimed that she had got to know Shilpa better after Jade had left.

If she doesn’t know it yet, Danielle is about to find out some bad news concerning her private and professional life, as well as the full details of the tabloid frenzy. I’m sure we’ll find out more about that over the course of the next week.

Jack, on the other hand will probably have to re-evaluate his relationship with Jade (who seems to be missing from the set tonight), as he seemed to have a developing crush on Danielle. In fact, he spent more time consoling her the other night than he ever did with his fiance.

Danielle Lloyd’s family and friends have today released a statement regarding the current racism claims being made against the model.

This is the statement in full: “Obviously the media attention on events in the CBB house has escalated beyond everybody’s imagination and the allegations being made against Danielle for alleged racism within the house are extremely distressing for her family and her friends.

“If Danielle were aware of even the smallest elements the reaction to how the events are being interpreted she would be absolutely distraught. We maintain that Danielle is not in any way racist and we do not believe that any comments she has made within the BB house are demeaning in a racially motivated manner.

“Clearly the behaviour in the house is unpleasant and harrowing to watch. We recognise a lack of cultural understanding and immaturity in the way Danielle is behaving in this very controlled environment.

“Danielle and her close circle of friends are of so many different races, cultures and ethnic groups that they are very comfortable with their cultural differences and comfortable discussing and even joking about these differences.

“The difference and problem seems to be in the lack of social and class understanding – in Danielle’s case her circle of friends are all living and have in the main, been brought up in the UK in a hugely multi cultural society where these exchanges are not considered racially demeaning and Danielle is interacting with Shilpa on the same basis.

“In light of the media and public scrutiny of the comments which Danielle has made and the interpretation of them worldwide, her friends and her family believe it is necessary to address these individual comments as she is not here to speak for herself: “She’s a dog’ – This is not a racially motivated comment, it’s an unpleasant word which is often used by young people today in a variety of different situations in contemporary english language.

“When Shilpa was bleaching her facial hair a discussion began amongst the girls about facial hair and bleaching and genuine inquisitive questions were asked of Shilpa.

“Shilpa was involved in this discussion and Danielle said in a throwaway manner She wants to be white’.

“This is much the same as when Danielle’s friends tease her for her love of sunbathing and her mixed race friends joke with her.

Friend of Danielle’s Leandra Anderson said: “If Danielle had been putting on fake tan for example, we may joke with her that she’s ‘trying to be black’ but that wouldn’t be seen as racist or offensive.

“Is it India they eat with their fingers or is that China?’ – Danielle genuinely wanted to know the answer to this and the question was not racially motivated.

“I don’t know where her hands have been’ – this is not racially motivated, was said in an insulting manner but Danielle would have said this about anyone handling food with their fingers.

“F*** off home’ – we maintain there was no racial undertone to this comment on Danielle’s part, it was however aggressive in the situation but we believe the the argument and comments which preceded this were purely based on class and social differences between the housemates.

Danielle has had a very different upbringing to Shilpa whilst Shilpa is of Indian high society.

“F*** off home’ is a term frequently used sometimes as an insult and sometimes in a jovial fashion between young people today.

Friend of Danielle’s, Sarah said: “Those of us close to Danielle know well that she has very little time for people who believe they are automatically entitled to special treatment because of their status -be that due to society or celebrity.

“From watching events in the house we believe that Shilpa has been openly, but possibly unintentionally, reminding the other housemates of her elevated status and this may have antagonised Danielle”.

Her family continued: “Comments have been made about Danielle mimicking Shilpa’s accent – again this was not racially motivated, Danielle is well known for mimicking people’s accents and she is frequently the object of others mimicking her liverpudlian accent – including in the BB house where they have all been enjoying each other’s different accents.

“Danielle has been brought up in an environment where many close family friends are of varying races and cultural backgrounds – she would be devastated to know that through her naivety she has left her comments open to such drastic misinterpretation. Her relaxed attitude towards cultural and racial differences has left her wide open to criticism globally because she doesn’t consider race to be an issue for her and not because race is an issue.

“As regards to allegations of bullying in the house Danielle has allowed herself to be swept along with the girls and situations and she has said things which she will certainly regret. However Danielle herself was bullied and she would be very remorseful to learn that she is being viewed as a perpetrator of this – “We believe however that her allegiance to the other girls has more to do with class differences between them all and Shilpa.

“Due to the enclosed and controlled environment of the Big Brother house, the perception of life within the house and events is being magnified and perhaps distorted and what is going on is certainly unpleasant behaviour at best, but is predominantly a class and social problem.

“Danielle will of course be responding herself to all media upon leaving the BB house.

Danielle Lloyd has declared many times in the Celebrity Big Brother house her desire to marry her boyfriend Teddy Sheringham. So imagine how gutted she will be to leave the house to a chorus of boos and the news that Teddy has dumped her.

Cowardly Teddy didn’t even wait for Danielle to leave the house, but instead has asked her mum to collect her belongings from his flat immediately.

What a man!

Danielle Lloyds aunt has come out today to call model Danielle Lloyd a racist and added that she understands why Teddy Sheringham has dumped her.

Angela Schofield told Star magazine: “It was disgusting the way Danielle treated Shilpa. I’m surprised Big Brother didn’t throw her out of the house.

“Danielle is being racist and Teddy has an image and career to protect. If he stays with her, it could affect him in a big way.”

Whether or not Angela is speaking the truth I have no respect for a family member that would sell out her niece in this way. I hope she is happy with her few pounds I hope it was worth the betrayal.

Brit Award Nominee, Amy Winehouse has been the latest celebrity to speak out about the Big Brother rcae row.

Speaking to The Mirror Amy said:

“Jade’s a scapegoat. The other two are worse.

“Jade is someone who will walk down the street and people will either boo or give her a hug. But the other two, they will get pelted.

“If I was in the house, I’d kick their heads in,” she added.

I don’t know if I agree with Amy that Danielle and Jo are worse than Jade, but I do think they will find it harder than Jade to recover from this incident. Both Danielle and Jo have less established careers and less fans than Jade. Jade may recover from this debaucle but i doubt that Jo and Danielle will be able to.

A source has revealed to The news Of The World today that West Ham footballer Teddy Sheringham is set to dump model Danielle Lloyd on her departure from the Big Brother house.

The source said: “No matter how much she says she’s not racist, no one’s ever going to believe her. Teddy’s in an impossible position playing in a mixed race team like West Ham.”

Some of his team-mates have been bitterly hurt by her comments and reckon Dani’s gone over the top. Teddy’s completely embarrassed by her behaviour and deeply ashamed of it.�

“She’s been acting like a horrible kid and nothing she can say when she comes out will make it better.�

Danielle will be gutted if this story is true, and her relationship isn’t the only thing to suffer during her time on the house. It looks like her career might be in serious difficulties too!

Danielle Lloyd is today facing the axe from two lucrative modelling deals, including one with rap star Jay-Z.

She was hired as the face of Rocawear prior to entering the Celebrity Big Brother house.

But last night company execs were considering cancelling Danielle’s involvement after she was accused of racist comments on the show.

Rocawear director Steve Grayson said: “We do not believe Danielle to be racist but reserve our decision on her involvement with Rocawear.�

Danielle’s contract with the Lipsy clothing range is also uncertain.

Bosses pulled promotional shots of her and sources said they were reviewing her contract.

One said: “Her behaviour reflects on the company so we have to consider what we will do.�

It comes after Danielle was axed from a campaign for motorbike insurance firm Bennetts.

The unfortunate thing about his whole sorry episode is that the three b***hes off CBB are actually a good representation of many young British girls…

Watching them, I am instantly reminded of girls I went to school with (all within the same sort of age group as Jade and co)… Aside from the racism issue, what is happening is the dominant girl (who is obviously resorting to dominanace/bullying because of her shortcomings) is leading her pack of inferior girls (ie. less famous in this situation) into targeting a member of the house who is easy to target because she is the least similar to them… This happens in schools and communities all over Britain all the time. It does not have to be about race.. anything that makes a person stand out, or different to the dominant ‘pack’ can trigger this behaviour.

The girls have targeted Shilpa because she is the least recognisable.. none of them know who she is. To the b***hy gang, she might as well be a punter off the street. They deem themselves as more important because they’d heard of eachother before, and some of them even suspect she may be a fake. They seek comfort by targeting her because of their own insecurities… to respect Shilpa as an artist is difficult for them because they are only famous for themselves, not their talent or work (or at least, not work of any artistic credibility)

Jade and co have twisted Shilpa’s words to justify their awful behaviour.. saying sorry isn’t good enough. This behaviour is unacceptable in any circumstances, and should not be tolerated, as it would not be in any British workplace. I do not particularly like Shilpa, but in any case, it is never justifiable to attack people, especially over petty issues.

Danielle came into the house saying she wanted to show people a ‘different side to her’.. well done Dani… you’ve shown a public who were indifferent to you that you are a silly, easily led little idiot, who will form her opinions based on those of the dominant member of the group, and try to make amends quietly behind your ‘friends’ backs… and then backtrack !!

Watching this reinforces why my friends are in their 30s – 60s (I am 24) and why I have chosen to lose contact with my peers from school. This sort of behaviour is terribly common, and I myself exerienced a similar situation with a dominant girl and her gang at school.

I work with many young people who come from Africa who have spoken to me this week about their bewilderment and disgust at this behaviour… I am proud to be a young person who does not follow the pack, and at the same time, I am sad that my peers do not do the same. I was brought up in a racist family in a BNP area, moved to a predominantly Asian area of Birmingham aged 18 of my own accord, and found friends, culture and understanding.

There is NO excuse for ignorance.. These girls are a disgrace.

The only good thing that can come of this is that Jade Goody fades back into obscurity… she has NO endearing qualities and NO talent.

Shilpa Shetty was called to the diary room yesterday when Big Brother asked her if she thought Jade Goody and her pals had been displaying racist behaviour towards her. The conversation went something like this:


Big Brother: Shilpa, you mentioned you were not happy 2 days ago, BB noticed that you had a conversation with Cleo in the bedroom following an argument with Jade. You implied that you thought the differences between the two of you could be racially motivated?

Shilpa: No actually I take that back. I thought it was cos everybody was having an argument with me and I take that back. I don’t think that is true, you know people say things in a fit of anger and erm, I stand corrected so, I don’t want people to think and feel that way and I continue to feel that way. So even if I said it I would like you to please clarify and put this as a statement from my side if you can. That I don’t feel there was any racial discrimination happening from Jade’s end. Erm, I don’t think that is true. That’s it. I think that there are a lot of insecurities from her end but it’s definitely not racial. So yeah, that’s the way I feel.

So there you go Big Brother has cleared its name…or has it? Did they inform Shilpa of the snide and racist comments made behind her back? Does she now know that Jade has been calling her Shilpa Poppadom? Does she know that Danielle wishes that she would “f*** off home” and sneered that “she can’t even speak English properly”. Is Shilpa aware that Jo OMeara has mimicked her Indian accent, refused to eat food Shilpa has touched and claimed Indians are skinny because they get sick through eating undercooked food.

No, Shilpa is blissfully unaware off most of the nastiness that has been going on behind her back. She is in no position to decide whether or not their is racist behaviour being displayed in the Big Brother house as she is not privy to all the information. This was Channle 4’s way of weaseling out of their responsibility to put an end to the atrocious racism that is rife in the Big Brother house. Hopefully with the departure of Jade Goody from the house tonight, the problem will be taken out of their hands.

Let us put an end to all this nonsense.

As I am neither British nor Indian and not a racist, I feel free to write from the heart without having to tip toe around… A lot has been said about three girls in the BB house, who have offended Shilpa (were they supposed to keep quiet and let her treat them any way she liked, as she did her fair share of screaming insults, swearing and abusing and over trivial things like chicken cubes).

It has been pointed out that Shilpa Shetty and Jermaine Jackson are guests and from foreign countries (earning a lot of money and by going into BB, agreeing to be ‘just another housemate’ with the advantage of being famous for something they have achieved in their lives) then surely their behaviour should be better towards their British inmates who are representing the host country, the country that has kindly invited them and as I have said, allowed them to make a lot of money, which they will be taking out of the country.

Instead they have as good as called the British subjects in the Big Brother house, white trash and beneath their class. Because you are a celebrity it does not make you any better than the next person it just means you have been fortunate enough to have a gift which has worked for you. Now here we have three British subjects having their reputations and futures destroyed, in their own country, for playing the BB game as they have seen it played in the past.

Be fair it is a BB production where anything goes to win (look at past episodes) with some playing harder than others. India must be complimented for their loyalty but it would be nice if they could look at both sides of the coin. As I have said before, I would not like any of the five involved in all the unpleasant goings on in the house, to win, as they have all behaved very badly but there are some well behaved people left in the house, for example Dirk Benedict and especially Chloe Rocus who has not had a bad word to say about anyone.

On the issue of racist behaviour. It goes both ways. There are whites who have been murdered for their religious beliefs in some non-white countries, well it has not come to that in BB but three young British women have had their reputations and future ‘murdered.’ Forget colour and culture and see this for what it is JUST ANOTHER BIG BROTHER COMPETITION AND PLEASE BE FAIR TO ALL.

We wondered why Danielle approached Shilpa today, as nice as pie and telling Shilpa that she shouldn’t feel left out or isolated. I thought I had heard it wrong, Danielle trying to be nice…what is going on.

While getting ready and fixing her hair, Danielle blurted to Shilpa:

“Shilpa, I don’t like arguing with anyone and I don’t want to argue with you.”

“Don’t worry, I’m cool,” said a slightly taken aback Shilpa as the pair embraced. “You were never like that with me.”

“I don’t want you to feel left out, I feel really bad and I’m not a bad person,” insisted Danielle.

But tonights Big Brother show explains it all. Yesterday Big Brother called Danielle Lloyd to the diary room. They asked her about the argument and she was in the midst of blaiming it all on Shilpa when Big Brother asked her what she had meant by saying “I wish she would just f*** off and go home.” For once Danielle was speechless. It was a sight to behold!

All at once you could see the realisation creep across the former Miss Great Britain’s face. She suddenly heard how it might sound to the public, she realised that her comments and attitude could be construed as racist, nasty and bullying. She panicked.

Danielle resolved there and then to make it up with Shilpa. Saying that she had learned that she should no longer follow the crowd and should just be herself. I take that to mean that she will put on a front for the rest of the show in case the public get another glimpse of what she is really like inside.

It seems as though the world is divided into two camps today. Those who believe that Shilpa Shetty is not a victim of bullying or racism, and those who would like are disgusted and disappointed by the antics of three girls who should know better.

I have to say that while our contributor Evelyn falls into the first camp, I really believe that Danielle Lloyd, Jo O’Meara and Jade Goody are completely in the wrong on this occasion. In a small way I do pity them, I can only imagine how they will be received by the public when they exit from the house. I can see this episode damaging their careers for years to come.

The only people that seem to be staying quiet on this issue are The Big Brother team themselves. It is obvious that both Russell Brand and Dermot O’Leary have been warned to avoid the topic at all costs…..not an easy task when John McCririck is a guest on your show. Channel 4 have issued very bland and non-committal statements saying that they believe the girls behaviour is not racist but just female bitchiness…or words to that effect. But anyone can clearly see that if not being racist, then the girls are definitely bullying Shilpa out of envy or jealousy. Either way they need to be warned that it is not acceptable.

Shilpa may not have many friends in the Big Brother house, but her popularity has soared out in the real world. There have been protests held in India today by her fans, who burned effigies of Big Brother bosses, and slightly more frighteningly, the show’s producers, received two emails that made threats towards a number of the housemates and police have confirmed that they are investigating. Thousands of people have complained to OFCOM about the racist behaviour they have witnessed and many more thousands have also been signing petitions aimed at Channel 4.

Shilpas plight even made it into the world of politics today when Prime Minister, Tony Blair, spoke out against racism in the House Of Commons. Chancellor Gordon Brown also spoke made a statement about the racism row whilst in India today.

I predict that Shilpa Shetty will no doubt have the last laugh in this whole saga. We are backing her to win, but even if she doesn’t, her fame has now spread worldwide. She will be known for her maturity and her dignity, while the other three would be well advised to creep away and hide for a few months until people forget how hateful they really were.

In yesterdays task, Big brother housemates had to complete an assault course, dressed in their best evening wear.

The task ended in tears as not only did the group manage to fail the task, but Danielle’s breasts fell out of her dress leaving her upset and humiliated.

Wait a minute…….rewind that….Is she really crying because the TV viewing public just saw her running about in her bra? Isn’t this the same girl who had her Miss Great Britain crown taken from her because she did topless shoots for a magazine? The girl has walked about in skimpy bikinis in many occasions since entering the house. In fact just after the task while the girls were waiting to get showered, Danielle’s pal, Jo O’meara, told her to cover up her dangling boobs.

Is this girl fake? Is she phony? Does she want our sympathy? Maybe….but she will never get my vote!

Anti Bullying campaigners, Bullybusters have today spoken out against the recent behaviour of Celebrity Big Brother contestant, Danielle Lloyd.

Speaking to The Liverpool Echo Bullybusters coordinator Kayte Eaton said: “In these sort of circumstances victimisation often occurs, especially as Shilpa comes from a different class and culture.

“Instead of picking on her behind her back, one of them should take her to one side and talk through their differences. I do not think it is racist, though.�

OFCOM have received over 4000 complaints over the last few days about the alleged bullying and racist treatment of Shilpa Shetty at the hands of the Big Brother housemates. On our blog alone we have been inundated with messages of support for Shilpa. To read some of these comments click here.

OFCOM have revealed that they have received more then 200 complaints against alleged racist remarks and attitudes displayed against Shilpa Shetty in the Big Brother house.

Here at Unreality TV we pointed out some of the housemates racist attitudes on our forum almost a week ago, and we have also given our opinion on the bullying of Shilpa Shetty by Danielle Lloyd and Jade Goody.

The treatment of Shilpa in the Celebrity Big Brother house has often been horrendous. Jackiey started the trend by constantly speaking down to Shilpa and by calling her “Indian”. Not one other housemate who heard Jackiey using this term told her it was unacceptable.

Danielle, Jade and even Jo have continued where Jackiey left off, often bitching about Shilpa, using every excuse to snipe at and criticise her. Over the weekend, former beauty queen Danielle Lloyd and ex-S Club 7 star Jo O’Meara poked fun at Shilpa’s accent. Yet not one has been able to give a justifiable reason for their grudge against the Bollywood beauty.

Other housemates have noticed the treatment that Shilpa has been receiving, ex-Steps star Ian claimed: “It’s turning into that film – Lord Of The Flies.”

“Were they bullying Shilpa last night?” asked Jermaine Jackson today.

“Yeah,” Ian replied. “I’m not playing those games. I’m not going to be part of it.”

OFCOM are currently wading through the complaints that continue to bombard them. An Ofcom spokeswoman said: “We have had approximately 200 complaints of racism.

“Quite a lot of websites have been discussing the issue and urging people to get in contact with us. We will look into each individual complaint.”

I hope that this whole episode will spell the end of both Jade’s and Danielle’s celebrity careers, they are a pair of venomous young women, with no backbone or individuality. They are the Big Brother equivalent of the school yard bullies. Jo I think has fallen in with the wrong crowd. She often realises that things have gone too far, and she certainly thought that Danielle had been excessive in her treatment of Shilpa last Friday, but so far Jo has been unable to speak out against Jade or Danielle. If she remains affiliated with the pair, they will be her downfall.
