Earlier today, Darnell was elected by housemates to be Big Brother’s first Head of House. He received nine votes whilst his fellow running mates, Dale and Luke, received three and two votes respectively. Big Brother also revealed to the housemates that from today, the house will be split in two – into Heaven and Hell.

Darnell, as Head of House, lives in Heaven. Big Brother instructed him to choose six housemates to join him living in Heaven. Darnell chose the following housemates to join him, in the following order:

” Dale
” Rex
” Mohamed
” Kathreya
” Rachel
” Maysoon

The other Housemates must live in Hell. They are:

” Belinda
” Lisa
” Luke
” Michael
” Rebecca
” Sara
” Stuart

The Heaven and Hell rules are as follows:

HEAVEN:

” The Head of House will live in Heaven.
” Only Heavenly Housemates will have access to the luxury bedroom.
” Only Heavenly Housemates will have access to the luxury bathroom.
” Only Heavenly Housemates will be permitted to exchange or reap the benefits of tokens.

HELL:

” Only Housemates from Hell will have access to the other bedroom
” Only Housemates from Hell will have access to the shower in the garden.
” Only Housemates from Hell will have access to the kitchen. Housemates from Hell should prepare all meals and drinks (other than water) for the house as a whole.

Housemates are strictly forbidden from crossing the divide. Housemates who attempt or do cross the divide, unless instructed to do so by Big Brother, will be punished.

Big Brother housemate Kathreya has revealed that she would love Darnell to sing at her wedding, but fears he will be too famous to take part in the ceremony.

Darnell took offence to Kathreya’s comments, saying it was silly to think he would abandon his friend for a showbiz lifestyle.

He said: “Just because you’re a star that doesn’t mean you can’t do things for your friends. You still have to have friendships otherwise life is going to get boring.”

Big Brother has set his first ever series long task for the BB housemates. BB has provided a selection of musical instruments and instructions on how to play them and each housemate must choose a different instrument to learn over the summer.

Darnell was chosen by the group as the most musical housemate and when he went to the diary room, he found out that this made him the Big Brother conductor.

Darnell emerged with a laminate and read to the group that they must all stick to the same instrument for the duration of their stay, and they are only allowed to play the song, ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’, which they will later perform together as a group.

BB will from now on allocate music time to the housemates and Darnell must ensure that each housemates practises properly and to the best of their ability.

The Big Brother housemates have noticed that Darnell has been a bit withdrawn since entering the house. He rarely eats with any of the housemates and some of the group are beginning to worry about the extent of his isolation.

“Darnell was being a bit…” Jennifer started….

“He’s not got a good appetite, has he?” Dale asked.

“Darnell… he’s a bit, like, different, in the sense that he doesn’t eat at the same time as other people would,” explained Sylvia.

“Is there a reason for that?” Jennifer asked.

“He hasn’t told me, but I’m trying to get him to be open,” Sylvia told the pair. “Like, if you feel you can’t sit at the table because of a certain reason, we’re not going to force him…. I feel like he’s been isolating himself a little. I’m a bit worried about him.”

“But because he’s isolating himself, I kind of find him totally unapproachable,” Jennifer announced. “And like, before, I felt awful for Mo, because he was chatting to him about food, and he said, ‘Can you just get out the kitchen?’ And Mo just like walked off.”

“Darnell’s been over-analysing things,” Sylvia reckoned.

“But we’re his friends,” Jennifer protested. “I don’t understand why he’s taking it out on other people, d’you know what I mean? You know what Mohamed’s like, he’s not like that at all.”

“I’m trying to get him to speak a bit more,” Sylvia nodded.

“He’s got such a big barrier,” Jennifer griped.

But Sylvia defended the songwriter: “He’s trying to think about things and work things out.”

Uh oh….it looks like Mario, Stephanie, Lisa and Luke may face eviction this week after all. They were given the task to pretend that Mario and Stephanie are a real couple, but only two days in and it looks like the others have already rumbled them!

Channel 4 reported that Darnell, Dennis, Alexandra, Sylvia and Dale visited the diary room yesterday evening saying:

“We’ve got a problem, a big problem!” “Are you guys playing tricks on us?” Alexandra demanded to know. “Is this a task?” Darnell asked. “We ain’t falling for it, yeah?” Alexandra announced. “And more and more and more now, Mario is lookin’ like an actor!”

Dennis agreed: “From when I first walked in here, when they said to me it was a couple, I went, ‘Right, okay’ and kept it at the back of my head, then thought ‘Wait a minute!’”
He: “First this is getting pushed in our face , and she told us her Mum didn’t agree with it right away… and then she hesitated when I asked her when his birthday was!”

Alexandra had more proof: “Also, Stephanie’s breaking down to me, and saying she wasn’t sure… I ain’t being funny Big Brother, but you ain’t been clever here. And we just wanna let you know that we know.”

“We are onto you baby,” Darnell whooped, “We are onto you!”

Darnell is a 26-year-old housemate who was born in Ipswich, raised in St Louis (USA) and now lives in London. He was deported to the UK after getting involved with gang culture in the States and now focuses much of his time in mentoring community youth groups in North London. Darnell was born albino.

Darnell describes himself as personable, outgoing, caring and sensitive, who can often talk too much and say the wrong things. Her gives himself three out of ten in physical attractiveness and says he is “way too skinny with a massive head”.

An avid music lover, Darnell currently writes songs professionally and loves all music, especially R’n’B and Hip Hop but hates death metal. His favourite film is Superbad and Chris Rock is his favourite comedian.

Currently single, Darnell is looking forward to meeting some cute girls in the house … or even his future wife. He can’t wait to see how he comes across in the house although admits that miserable and complaining housemates will irritate him.
