Cassius Henry and David Faulkner were the first members of Team Jessie J to perform on tonight’s Battle Rounds show.
Cassius previously wowed the coaches at his blind audition with his rendition of Ne-Yo’s ‘Closer’. They all wanted him for their team, but he opted shoot for his big second chance with the Domino hitmaker.
Shy construction worker David surprised the panel with his emotional version of ‘Superstition’ by Stevie Wonder but he turned down offers from The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue and Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am and Tom Jones and opted to work with the youngest and only female coach on the show.

Jessie J wasn’t a happy bunny when she saw Cassius Henry and David Faulkner perform their battle round song for the first time.
The ‘Domino’ hitmaker paired the talented vocalists, saying:
‘I think you will bring the best out in each other.’

David Faulkner has admitted that he did consider choosing Tom Jones as his mentor on The Voic,e because they are both from Wales.
The Welsh singer tried out for the BBC show earlier this year and after an amazing rendition of ‘Superstition’, persuaded all four panelists to turn and offer him a place on their team.
Jones was keen for him to join his group and tried to play the Welsh card saying:

David Faulkner made his TV debut on The Voice tonight and was one of the only people who had never been on our screens before, either on another talent show, or as part of a formerly famous group.
The 28 year old construction worker closed the show, so we were expecting great things from him before he even opened his mouth and admitted that he was quite late in coming to singing, admitting that he didn’t start until he was around 21 years old.

Singer songwriter David Faulkner will be one of the hopefuls, hoping he can make an impression on this Saturday’s episode of The Voice.
Actually, the hat wearing crooner tried out for the BBC show in London earlier this year and on this weekend’s second episode of the series, audiences will find out if he has ‘The Voice’ and is good enough to be chosen by Jessie J, Tom Jones, Will.i.am or Danny O’Donoghue for their teams and if he will go on to face the Battle Rounds.
