Danny O’Donoghue was slightly worried about the fate of David Julien, when he teamed him up against John James Newman in The Voice battle rounds.
The Script frontman admitted that he may have been slightly unfair, in pitting the fairly inexperience singer against the ‘consummate professional’ that is Newman for the BBC series, in a sing off which would determine their fate in the competition.
Danny said their duet had the capability to be like ‘David vs Goliath’.

When David Julien sang The Script’s The Man Who Can’t Be Moved for his The Voice audition, the judges were impressed, and within minutes Danny O’Donoghue – who of course had a hit with the track – spun his chair around.
However, it seems that David wouldn’t have auditioned if he’d had to be face to face with the coaches, because he struggles with confidence issues having once been obese.
Now a slim 13st, Danny told the Sun, “I’m still not a skinny guy. I still feel self-conscious about my size so it was nice that they weren’t able to see me.
“I’d never have done X Factor or Britain’s Got Talent, but this was different to any other show… Read more & comment »
