David Van Day always was a bad’un but to dump his girlfriend live on the Wright show is low even for him.

In the clip above, the I’m A Celebrity star tells Matthew Wright that his woman has been neglecting him by putting her work before his needs. In fairness I doubt the sanity of any woman who would date him in the first place but surely even the mentally challenged deserve more respect than this.

Props to Carrie Grant who told him off for his actions and showed him to be the fame hungry wannabe that he is!

Former Dollar singers David Van Day and Thereza Bazar are currently starring in Living’s new reality TV show, ‘Pop Goes The Band.’

The pair are trying to recreate their ‘heyday’ in the 1980s when they scored a handful of top ten hits, but before they can do they they obviously have to look the part. Thereza decided to work out with a personal trainer and opted for a touch of botox to reinvigorate her ageing body. Van Day, ever the show man, took things about ten steps further and volunteered for quite a drastic facelift.

I have always sat on the wall when it comes to plastic surgery. I’ve always erred on the never say never side, assumed that when I am 45/50 it may be something I seriously consider. Not any more! The sight of David Van Day with blood seeping out of his eye bags, his face swollen to twice its normal size and his head bandaged like a mummy was enough to mentally scar me for life.

David admits that he looked so scary, he banned his own children from seeing him for eight weeks after the surgery. He said: “My head was the size of a TV and I don’t want them to see what it was like.”

Facelifts, tummy tucks, cosmetic surgery as a whole is often portrayed as the easy option, the quick fix. I now doubt that’s the case. David was in agony after the surgery, he admitted in a recent TV interview that if he realised how painful the procedure would be and how long the side effects would last for, he’s not sure that he would have gone through with it. I think I can say with a large degree of certainty that when the time comes and my face is starting to sag so much that you can’t see my neck anymore, I will just live with the fact that I am old, maybe even wear a large scarf as disguise. I will not be putting myself through any form of invasive cosmetic surgery. I’m just way too squeamish!

Annoying jungle duo David Van Day and Timmy Mallett are reportedly taking over the job of co-hosting Get Me Out Of Here Now, the spin off show to I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!

The current presenters, married couple Matt Willis and Emma Griffiths, are expecting their first baby in the summer so they’ve decided against doing the show next November as their baby will still be very young.

That’s turned out to be good news for David and Timmy who expressed their desire to work together while in the jungle.

David told the Daily Star: “I always thought we were the new Ant and Dec.

“But hey, the new Matt and Emma? That’s fine by me.”

Well I have to say, I most definitely won’t be watching – I can’t stand either of them!

I’m A celebrity star, David Van Day has admitted that he went into the jungle with a plan and compared himself to X factor judge, Simon Cowell.

Van Day told The Mirror:

“I directed it all in my head – I plotted it like a Shakespearean character. I’m in the same mould as Simon Cowell, who everyone thinks is Mr Nasty.

“I am like a bite of Marmite… sometimes I leave a bitter taste, sometimes people lap me up. If I’m trodden on, I can be as venomous as any poisonous snake in the jungle.”

Former Dollar singer, David Van Day has left I’m A Celebrity.

Despite being tipped to win the show, David received the lowest amount of public votes and so was forced to leave the jungle show last night.

Speaking to Ant and Dec, Van Day said: "It’s been a real rollercoaster for me. I think my work there was finished. They don’t need me interfering and messing with their minds."

He denied Nicola McLean’s claims that he had a game plan all along.

"I can’t make it up," he said. "But Nicola gave me lots of currency. She made it really easy for me."

David revealed that he is supporting Eastenders show Joe Swash to win the ITV TV show.

"That guy is the salt of the earth," he said.

The three taking part in the final are Swash, actor George Takei and Wimbledon champion Martina Navratilova.

I’m A Celebrity contestant David Van Day has been playing a game and is now determined to wind up Joe Swash by making him jealous, Nicola McLean revealed yesterday. The glamour model also blasted the former Dollar singer calling him a ‘psycho’.

She said David had kissed and grabbed her in the pool and he had also revealed his game plan to her – ‘He’s planned to argue, he’s done it all as a plan.’

She told Joe: ‘David’s an absolute lunatic. He said to me: “We have to change it all now, why don’t we do a bit of flirting, we’re here for the same purpose, the arguments have been good.”

‘He’s been doing it all along for the cameras, he said it will get on Joe’s nerves if you sit next to me and do bit of flirting.

‘On my life Joe it has all been his plan. He went to me: “Let’s do some flirting, the arguments have gone brilliantly.” I was gob smacked, I was scared’

Joe laughed as Nicola continued with her tale of David’s behaviour. ‘He was slapping my arse, not just a little slap, a proper bang, he was kissing me and grabbing me.
‘He said to me that Joe was favourite to win and probably still is favourite now so let’s get on his nerves and gang up on him. So, I’m sorry but he is a f***ing nutter. I don’t like him, you can have him. He is yours!’

Nicola continued her rant: ‘He is not bothered that no-one likes him, he thinks it’s brilliant and it is brilliant, it is fantastic.

‘Joe I am being completely honest, I don’t like him. He said it would be a brilliant plan to start murders with the rest of camp as it will keep us in till Friday. I was head-f***ed.  I knew what he was doing and tried my hardest not to rise; he has planned the lot the whole thing.’

‘He wanted to do it to make Joe jealous, I swear, look at my face, this is what he was saying to me, make Joe really jealous. I tell you he is not right, he’s a psycho.’
Although Joe initially found it amusing, he started getting annoyed at David’s behaviour. ‘What a w*****, what a tosser.’ When the pair returned to camp
David put the plan he thought he’d hatched into play.

Sitting next to Nicola he slipped his arm around her and told Joe he and Nicola had been bonding.

Joe reacted: ‘There’s more of a chance of the pope having a threesome than Nicola going near you mate.’

Removing his arm from around Nicola, David replied: ‘Well I tell you what, you better go and check the pope. We’re just friends…we have a lot to make up for.’

David then asked Joe, who had been adjusting his trousers, if he was wearing ladies pants and if they would fit him too. ‘Not with that Derby, you’ve got about ten stone on your belly.’

As David was called up to the Bush Telegraph he gave Nicola a kiss on the cheek – she looked at him and shook her head in disgust. Joe shouted after him: ‘Get up there fatso.’

With David ensconced in the Bush telegraph, Nicola said: ‘That is unbelievable… what do you think? What am I going to do now?’

‘Play him’, advised Joe.

In the Bush Telegraph David said: ‘Nicola and I have actually been getting close today. It’s amazing, if you’d asked me a week ago, few days ago, I’d say that was crazy. I’m learning something about life, you never know what’s around the corner.
‘I’ve learned how anger can come and can go, life is short. I’m going to make best of friends with Nicola. I can’t promise how she’ll react, but I’m going to give bit of myself to her. I hope she appreciates that. We’re not that close yet but we’re finding each others company a lot more interesting than the others. She is quite sweet. Maybe we did get off on the wrong end of the stick. I even gave her a friendly kiss on the cheek.

‘Our friends in camp are quite happy, apart from miserable I’m not so sure he’ll be here tomorrow. It’s a long shot but a cat only has so many lives and he may run out.’
Joe appeared a broken man later in the Bush Telegraph and was confused as to who was telling the truth. ‘Either David has taken my good nature and manipulated me or Nic is being untruthful, one way or another I’m being taken advantage of and if it’s David then he’s trying to mug me off. He’s used me and now he wants to abuse me.’

‘Would rather not have known this is going because then I could have carried on the way I was and not thought anything differently.

‘I’ve looked out for him (David) and Timmy, I’ve put my neck on the line and if this is the case I’ve totally been used….he now wants to take it a step further and have me feel uncomfortable in camp.

‘This is a game and I weren’t playing properly by all accounts, this game needs to stop I need to get back to the people that I trust…I don’t know any of these people, I don’t trust any of these people, I shouldn’t have in the first place.’
Nicola repeated the story of David’s conspiracy to Simon who was shocked but said his instincts about David were right. ‘I saw that as soon as I came in here. David’s mask has come off.’

Joe warned Simon: ‘I’ve done my hardest to help him out and if he carries on I’ll drag him to the dunny and put his head down the toilet!’

New friends, David Van Day and Nicola McLean headed off to do the I’m A Celebrity celebrity chest yesterday.  Arriving at the challenge, they read the laminate.  The chest is locked by five padlocks, they had to wash the muddy car to find the number combinations hidden. 

Embracing the challenge, Nicola stripped to her bikini. ‘What are you doing?’ asked David.  When the glamour model revealed that she was ‘stripping’ David replied, ‘We’re cleaning a car, we’re not going you know… All right, if you’re doing it I’m stripping’.  Taking off his shirt and trousers he proceeded to wash the car in his underwear.

Struggling to get the thick mud off of the car, David and Nicola complained this it was going to take ages.  Finally David found one for the combinations, as Nicola was unable to unlock any of the padlocks they decided to find the five combinations first before trying to unlock the chest.

Finally finding five, they tried to unlock the chest but soon realised that one of the combinations was a dud and that there were more combinations hidden under the dirt.

When they found the final combination a jubilant David hugged and kissed Nicola. ‘I love you!’ he exclaimed. ‘No I don’t, what am I doing, I hate you.’

As Nicola released the chest, David jokingly smacked a shocked Nicola on the bottom. 

THE CHEST RETURNS
A successful Nicola and David return to camp with the chest.  The surprised camp mates all came to greet their team mates and Nicola said ‘I have to say he pulled his weight, shocked but he pulled his weight.’

Gathered round they read the question: ‘According to the Klingon Language Institute, what does the Klingon phrase Hab SoSlI’ Quch! mean? A: your mother has a smooth forehead or B: I find your ears erotic?’

‘I don’t know any of these words’ said Star Trek legend George, ‘I’m a star fleet officer.’

Discussing the two options the celebrities correctly guessed A and won a candy bra from Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan and Carol McGiffin.  Nicola put the bra on over her top and David joked ‘You put it on and we eat them off you,’ but an annoyed Joe said ‘If they asked me to think of something to give people in the jungle why would you give them a candy bra?’

Following days of rows over beds peace came over the I’m A Celebrity camp, even Nicola McLean was willing to give it a go with David Van Day.

‘David’s offered me an olive branch and I took it because I didn’t want to be the cause of tension. If he’s willing to make an effort with me then I will with him. I’m not going to change my mind and love the man but I’ll try and make it as happy as I can.’

Her former bete noir said: ‘the hand of friendship has been given to me and I’ve taken it because life is too short. It’s not over but it’s looking good.’

The bus saga continues on I’m A Celebrity and David Van Day’s bed on the bus was soon under threat once more, this time it was Simon who had decided he wanted the best bed in Camp due to his ‘bad neck.’

Called to a team meeting by Brian, David said, ‘Shall we cut to the chase you want me to give up my bed for Simon?’

Asking Simon why he now wants the bed on the bus the singer replied that it was his neck hurt which had been caused by sleeping in a hammock. ‘Well I knew earlier this was coming,’ admitted a riled David. ‘I think it’s about just getting me off the bus I don’t think Simon really needs the bed.’

Adamant that he should lose the best bed and end up on the floor a diplomatic Esther said to David, ‘Where would you like to sleep if you don’t sleep on the bus?

Admitting that he would like to sleep on one of the flat beds, Esther offered up her own bed saying that she would sleep in a hammock.

Unhappy with this, Nicola jumped in ‘No, I’m having the flat bed then, I’ve been here longer and my back’s sore as well. I said to Esther if she’s giving up her bed then I’ll go in the bed, ladies first.’

‘She’s just desperate for me to sleep in a hammock. You’re just desperate for me to sleep anywhere uncomfortable,’ replied David.

Martina, coming to Nicola’s defense, then added that because some celebrities who had to live in the Away Camp have had to sleep on the ground for four days then moved into hammock, David had been in the Camp for fewer days and got a bed when he was held hostage.

Angered by David’s behavior, Martina later added, ‘David doesn’t deserve to be offered anything he’s been too for himself.’

With no solution being suggested David asked that as the decision was now between himself and Brian, as most of the celebrities are happy in their beds they shouldn’t interfere. Simon was now on the bus, Esther would be in a hammock, Nicola in Esther’s bed and there was a hammock and flat bed up for grabs.

Brian took David away for a private chat and suggested that David should try and ‘pull the rug from under his critics’ and take the hammock. Unwilling to give up a flat bed, Brian agreed to take the hammock and said that he felt David had been treated unfairly.

Talking abut the decision in the Bush Telegraph Nicola said, ‘I also am suffering terribly from my back because I have to sit on logs with no support on my boobs what so ever. I’ve brought the wrong bras in here I should have been wearing sports bras but they don’t make the boobs look as nice so I didn’t. I know this sounds like my fault but it’s not, well it is really cause I did get them made this size.’

Arriving at his I’m A Celebrity Bushtucker Trial called Hell-O-Phone, David Van Day was quick to knock Nicola’s performance the previous day. He said: “I’m ready for it. She [Nicola] got three stars. Oh, what a shame, lets go for 12.”

Surrounded by three red telephones, David was told that he would hear a ring. He would have to identify which phone box was ringing and answer the phone. The caller would ask three questions, each correct answer would win a star.

If he was able to endure the telephone box for the three questions he would win another star. There would be four stars up for grabs within the three phones boxes and each star would be a meal for camp.

He was then told that the caller would be someone who had endured a Bushtucker Trial before and there may be ‘jungle’ eavesdroppers joining him in the phone box.

Asked if he would like to take the challenge, David couldn’t resist another dig at Nicola. “I’m gonna do this for the team, not Nicola.”

The first phone box rung and David ran straight to it, answering the phone he heard Phil Turfnel’s voice on the other end of the line. Covering his eyes, David waited for the first question which was “Who created Sherlock Holmes?” As water started to fill the box, with a host of critters, David screamed the correct answer Conan Doyle. He also correctly answered the second question and identified that ‘Brangelina’ stood for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Screaming and saying to himself “they’re cuddly” to help his fear of the critters, he wrongly spelled ‘Burglary’ which was the third question. “I can’t concentrate,” he screamed.

As he endured the phone box for the three questions he gained a star winning a total of three.

Climbing out he said ‘I didn’t like it.’ As the second phone box rang, he climbed in and answered the phone. Greeted by the voice of Joe Pasquale, maggots, greenflies and cockroaches were poured onto his head. He correctly answered that lapsang souchong was a type of tea and not a breed of dog and that there are 22 players in a typical football game but once again, distracted by the critters, he was unable to answer the third question which was is 4 x 4 x 4. David replied 32 when the correct answer was 64. “What are you doing to me, I’ll never work again,” he grimaced.’

Having once again endured the second phone box, David won another star bringing his total to six.

The third telephone box rang and David climbed in, answering the phone to Carol Thatcher. The box started to sink into the ground and water was pumped inside. Asked who was the Prime Minister of England was before Gordon Brown, David correctly answered Tony Blair. Screaming as the water was filling the phone box, David shouted the correct answer of “Atlantic” to the second question of what ocean separates America and the UK? With his eyes covered he wrongly answered that water is also identified as C02. ‘I’m standing here filled up with it, its water,” he screamed. Told that is was carbon dioxide and that water is H20 David stepped out of the box.

But having once again with endured for the full three questions he won another star bringing his total to nine stars and nine meals for camp.

Thrilled by his performance he couldn’t resist one final remark about Nicola’s performance. “[We’ll] make a good meal out of it after three stars, God we’ll be full up… I shall be c*ck of the camp.”
