The Britain’s Got Talent panel has been split and it’s making things very awkward for the hopeful acts.

Those who have attended the London auditions all week in London’s Hammersmith Apollo, have remarked on the fact that Simon Cowell seems so obsessed with Baywatch babe and guest judge Carmen Electra, that he barely notices anything or anyone else and she in turn, just agrees with everything he says.

The pair have spent the week stroking and flirting with one another and at one point, the American actress even gave the TV boss a bit of a lap dance in front of the 2,000 strong audience.

However, their behaviour has led to fellow judges Alesha Dixon and David Walliams getting ever closer and frequently, when acts performed for the panel, the judges would split in two, with Simon and Carmen voting one way and the other two stars voting the other.

A source told The Sun: “If Alesha and David liked it, Carmen and Simon didn’t and vice versa.”

We were at the auditions in London last night and more than one act fell foul of the split in votes. Thankfully the audience were very vocal in their opinions and may have saved at least one hopeful, when they demanded the judges give them a second chance.

Carmen haters will be glad to note that the blonde beauty has now finished her Britain’s Got Talent stint and Amanda Holden will be back on the panel, when the tryouts hit Edinburgh this weekend.

Things will soon get back to normal….

The biggest step in any new relationship always is introducing your lover to your parents. It shows you are committed to one another and are moving your partnership to the next level.

So it comes as no surprise that last night David Walliams introduced his new best friend to his beloved mother.

After his mum Kathleen Williams watched her son judge the evening auditions David gave her a guided backstage tour, showing her how the programme gets made.

He then introduced her to the most important person in BGT world, show boss Simon Cowell.

David took to Twitter to reveal that Simon was as ever charming with Kathleen, and wrote:

“My mum just met Simon Cowell and he told her she had lovely skin!”

Meanwhile the BGT team have labelled David “The Candyman” after he keeps treating them to delicious chocolate treats every day.

We bet Simon doesn’t let any of them pass his lips….he’s more into the strange green vegetable smoothies these days!

Yesterday, at the afternoon Britain’s Got Talent auditions in London the atmosphere was tense again. No sooner had the first contestants began performing to perform for Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Carmen Electra and David Walliams, than the audience got rowdy and trouble started.

The first victim was, as usual, poor Carmen Electra and the crowd gave her barely any chance to speak. Soon after people took offence to a comment Alesha Dixon made to one act and to round things of people jeered Simon Cowell when he critiqued another. One group screamed that Simon had lost his touch and were angry with him for hiring Carmen. Some in the audience were of the opinion Simon, Carmen and Alesha should go and Amanda Holden return and they made it known….loudly!

Surprisingly out of the firing line was one David Walliams. The judge had won over the hearts of the audience by talking to them and filling the breaks between acts with good humour. He even got up on stage to perform a funny routine of his own. Carmen Electra said of David’s dancing:

“He’s like a taller version of John Travolta. He’s got rhythm!”

Walliams seemed to be enjoying the experience too and last night, he revealed on Twitter that he was even taking his mum along for the evening auditions. She seemed to hit it off with show boss Simon Cowell and David tweeted:

My mum just met Simon Cowell and he told her she had lovely skin!

David Walliams and Simon Cowell certainly have become bosom buddies over the last lot of weeks.

The Little Britain star joined the music mogul on the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel last month and ever since an interesting relationship has struck up between the pair.

Some insiders have described it as a ‘bromance’ and even Ant and Dec have passed comment on how pally the two stars have become.

However, we think that David may have taken things a little too far last night, when he tweeted out the picture below.

The comedian, author and TV star posted a photo of him and Cowell together, arms slung around each other in a very comefortable fashion, but it was the caption that made us feel a little ill. Along with the picture, Walliams wrote:

“Look how hard his nipples are when we are together!”

PUKE! And on another note, Simon really needs to get that hair sorted….pronto. Luckily, we know just the man!

The Britain’s Got Talent auditions have been going very well this year….until yesterday that was. Let’s just say that a lot happened on the first day of the London tryouts.

The first surprise for me was obviously the new guest judge. Of all the people that were expected, Carmen Electra certainly wasn’t and I have to admit that her arrival yesterday afternoon shocked more than a few of the waiting crowd.

On arriving David Walliams got an incredible crowd reaction, however his American counterpart certainly didn’t go down as well with the audience. Some took to Twitter to remark that they “think Carmen needs to take a chill pill” or labelling her as “bland” and boring. Others said she “needs to get a sense of humour.” And one then put the knife in saying: “Don’t think anyone liked Carmen Electra being a judge!” Carmen was undetered, telling reporters: “I kinda fancy Simon. He’s cute and I love his sarcasm.”

The audience also complained about seating problems, while David Walliams was overheard telling Simon Cowell off for being late again . Because of him the 1 o’ clock auditions didn’t start till 4. David said Simon could not treat the audience like that. He was heard saying: “Some people have been waiting out in the cold from 8!!” Another big talking point was the low level of talent at the auditions. There were many tweets stating that it was an “all time low” and a few journalists that were at the event agreed with this.

David disagreed saying:

“In London yesterday we had the best day of auditions yet for BGT, I think we may have found an international superstar”.

One journalist however left his day job behind for the day and arrived as one of the auditionees. He claimed to be a singer, but was immediately buzzed by all the judges. I wonder what that headline will look like!

Carmen shocked everyone by asking a little boy opera singer an inappropriate question, meanwhile Simon told a 78-year-old woman she has a “naughty look about her”….same old, same old. Highlights of the acts were an amazing Czech gymnast duo, while Twist & Pulse were back as the Twist and Pulse Dance company, and there were cheers for Confusion the over 35 dance group.

Then there were the judges, who seemed to be in a strange mood yesterday. After the first auditions, Simon went off saying he wanted to go to his hotel for an hour, delaying the second auditions.

He got it in the ear from former Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha, who was angry because the big boss was flirting with Carmen instead of looking at the acts and thought it was rude that Carmen had not made an effort to look up who she and David were, while she and David had been spending ages online to get an idea of her work.

Audience members were also angry with David’s wife, Lara Stone, who had arrived for the second round and apparently kept the Little Britain star away from fans, while he had been talking and joking with them all the time before she arrived.

One said: “She was so rude. I’m very disappointed.”

David also expressed disappointment. He was upset that the audience laughed at a gay ballroom dancing couple before they even started dancing. He wondered what was so funny about “the notion of two men dancing together.”

However his mood did improve and later, Walliams entertained the audience again by posing for pictures, chatting and whispering, blowing kisses, having a staring competition and doing a very camp dance.

Another audience member commented:

“He just made everyone laugh non-stop!”

He was a bit hungry, so when someone offered a bag of gummy snakes he ate a whole bag.

The Britain’s Got Talent auditions kicked off in London this afternoon and there was a new face on the panel for the day.

It was announced earlier this morning that American actress Carmen Electra would be standing in for regular judge Amanda Holden, while she recuperates and recovers from the traumatic birth of her baby daughter last week.

The Baywatch star joined David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell at London’s Hammersmith Apollo this afternoon and helped the team sort the wheat from the chaff, as a number of hopeful singers, dancers and performers tried out for the ITV show.

Later in the evening, Britain’s Got More Talent host Stephen Mulhern streamed live from backstage at the venue, to announce on YouTube the 24 acts who have been chosen as the best of this year’s online video entries.

The auditions of all the hopefuls have now been uploaded to the BGT official Youtube account, where viewers have until the 13th of February to vote for their favourite.

Even though David Walliams and Simon Cowell both said that they didn’t want any judges standing in for Amanda Holden as she is recovering from her difficult pregnancy and birth, it looks like ITV have gotten their way.

The ITV show moves it’s auditions to the England’s capital city tomorrow and the Little Britain star hinted that there may be a new face joining him, Simon and Alesha Dixon at the judges’ tables.

A teasing David tweeted today:
“The London auditions for #BGT start tomorrow, and there is going to be an amazing new guest judge…”

Hmm, interesting. But here comes the really tantalising bit. Walliams added:

“Though for now I am sworn to secrecy about who they are!”

They Mr Walliams? THEY?

This sent some shockwaves through the BGT community, “they”… Two Louis Walshes? Naah, that’s silly. Quickly after the outcome seemed clear to most Tweeters. They all assumed it’s Jedward!

For BGT fans the mystery may be solved. But will they be right? We’ll see tomorrow!!

David Walliams has revealed that he’s a bit of a homebody and although he admitted that he would like to star in America’s Got Talent, the new Britain’s Got Talent judge confessed that he would not want to make a full time move to The States.

”I’d do America’s Got Talent, but wouldn’t move there,” he admitted, adding:

“I love this country, I love the people. when I swam the Thames it completely reinforced that. I
do feel British. That’s not to say I wouldn’t take an offer to work out there. I just wouldn’t wanna live out there, it’s too crazy. If Simon asked me I’d do it, I’d love to see what American people do out there.”

The Little Britain’ star also explained how he first became involved with Britain’s Got Talent and why he decided to take the job. He told Chris Evans:

“I never thought two or three years ago I’d ever end up being a judge on one of these shows. I just got this call. With someone very, very famous and successful you get the precall, from this lady who said ‘will you be available at nine o clock tomorrow to talk to Simon Cowell?’ So that’s the
night before, and I’m like ‘yes, ok’. So you sit by the phone and then you finally get ‘Hi, it’s Simon’ and I was very, very excited, because I’m a
massive fan and he goes ‘do you want to do the tv show and what do you think, do you wanna do this?’ And he talks it through and of course you’re
completely seduced because he’s so brilliant and hot and charming and everything. Of course it gets worked out with agents and then one day
you’re there.”

Walliams also admitted that he was expressly told NOT to make jokes about his new boss on the ITV show, advice he clearly ignored. He added:

“The day before I met with the producers before Simon arrived and I say: ‘Can you make jokes about Simon?’ And they say: ‘What
kind of jokes?’ ‘Well, I don’t know … Jokes about his height’, ‘Absolutely no way!!’’Jokes about his friendship with Sinnita?’ ‘No!!’ ‘Jokes about him being camp?’ ‘he detests jokes about himself being camp!!” ‘Oh, well … ok …’

“So the first person that comes out onto the stage says ‘My dream is to perform in front of the Queen’ I say –pointing at Simon- ‘Well, he’s right here, go ahead.’Simon’s laughing, the audience is laughing, so it’s all good. So actually I didn’t need to worry, because he’s got a great sense of humour and he’s like the king and I’m the court jester.”

The actor, author and sportsman went on to reveal that all joking aside, he does have a problem with telling people no and ruining their dreams. However it’s not quite as difficult as he imagined it to be and explained:

“It’s going well. I thought the hardest thing would be pressing the buzzer because you know, I’m an actor I’ve been in an audition, I know what it’s
like to be rejected it’s tough. But actually sometimes people are rubbish and you want them to stop do what their doing and sometimes you want them to
safe their embarrassment because the audience are shouting off and so you want to press the buzzer to stop them from humiliating themselves anymore.”

When new Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams arrived on the Chris Evans Breakfast show on Friday, many people talked about how tired the actor sounded.

David did his best to sound cheery, but seemed a little downbeat.

During the show David admitted to the host he is thinking of retiring in a few years time and just becoming a writer, saying: “I’d quite like to have writing take over my life, cause then I’d just sit, like Roald Dahl in a shed all day, writing books. Come out once in a while and do a book signing or something and disappear again.”

But the actor, who in recent years revealed he is a workaholic, added that he knows there is no chance for this right now saying:

“I do find it difficult to get away from work, so I love a holiday, because when I am at home there’s always something I should be doing. You do chase something and then you get at this point where you get offers and you say ‘oh wonderful’, and you sort of forget what you really wanted to do. It’s quite worrying.”

He told Chris that after Britain’s Got Talent he is doing a few more UK based Hollywood flicks, a new book and a TV show.

Worryingly he added that he is still not a 100% since his swim:

“I’ve spent the last six months trying to get better, with Pilates and physical therapy.”

He revealed that “Professor Greg Whyte has created some special exercises for me that are gonna help my back.”

Chris seemed concerned about David, who insisted he was “fine”, urging him to get regular check ups. As he had been and had polyps that were removed just in time before they developed in something more sinister. He offered to take David for a check up himself, adding:

“We all love you so much, please go and look after yourself. You’ve got to get some rest, because you’re so important!!”

Something we all agree on, a lovely man and a charity hero!!

The audience doesn’t have the chance to get bored this year, during the breaks from filming at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

David Walliams has taken it upon himself to keep the audience entertained with his own brand of silly jokes.

Pictures have emerged of David’s break antics and at one point, clearly not interested in what chum Simon Cowell had to say, David pulled some silly faces, put on a rasta hat and showed his bum to the audience.

He didn’t let Simon off easily either. Hearing that the reason Simon has been over two hours late for every audition session, was because he was bathing with lemon-scented soap, David asked to smell Simon upon his return to verify his excuse for being late.

Roll on April, when the series FINALLY returns to our screens!
