One Direction are the big guests of the evening during this year’s BRIT Awards ceremony and it sounds like Harry Styles is planning to make the most of it.
The hunk generally turns up to these things looking dapper in some skinny type trousers, a tight fitting shirt and his hair all tousled to perfection, but this year he’s considering wearing a ridiculous stage costume instead.

Tomorrow night is of course the Text Santa appeal telethon on ITV from 8pm, and among the stars who’re hoping to raise cash for this year’s charities are X Factor judge and Take That singer Gary Barlow…
And he – as well as the other X Factor judges – is set to sing a duet with comedian Dawn French as part of the show. They will be joined on stage by Gary’s fellow judges Tulisa and Nicole Scherzinger.
In addition, we’ll see the Loose Women panelists trying out at one of the show’s audition venues, but sadly, they didn’t make the cut. Sigh.
However, back to Dawn and Gary’s duet, they’re set to sing a rendition of The Pogues’ Christmas hit Fairytale Of New York… Read more & comment »

Andrew Lloyd Webber has reportedly decided not to venture down the reality TV route again, after his latest series ‘Superstar’ attracted such poor ratings.
The composer agreed to conduct a search for an actor and singer who could take on the lead role in his hit musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ on ITV this summer, having previously aired all his other series’ on BBC One.

Superstar judge Dawn French has revealed that she’d love nothing more than a good behind the scenes “punch up” with her fellow judges, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jason Donovan and/or Mel C, but sadly for her, she’s found that everyone’s just too darn nice to punch.
Speaking to TV Biz, Dawn joked, “I love a good punch up [but] there’s none of this bitching that I was expecting.
“Before the show I was like ‘bring it on’ — there’s nothing I like more than a good punch-up.
“I’ve got a low centre of gravity and I’m not frightened to bite people. But no one seems to want to fight with me. It’s quite disappointing.
“I thought those were the rules on shows like this. But it doesn’t seem to be the case. We’re all very supportive of each other…” Read more & comment »

As fans of Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s talent search show Superstar will know, the show moves on to the live rounds on Sunday, having whittled down the wannabes to just 10 remaining singers…
And in today’s What’s On TV magazine, judge Dawn French has revealed what she’ll be looking for in the finalists, and also her hopes that the live shows will go without a hitch, including hoping that she herself will avoid swearing, which she says she does “rampantly.”
The interview began when WOTV asked if Dawn’s excited to be a judge on the show, to which she replied, “I’m far too over-excited. I’m counting the days to it, like you do at Christmas when you’re a child.
“I’ve never worked with Andrew Lloyd Webber before, but I have actually portrayed him when we did a parody on French and Saunders… Read more & comment »
