The Britain’s. Got Talent security team almost had to stage a rescue operation, when presenter Declan Donelly offered to help Shaun Jones aka Mr. Remarkableman with his act in a recent audition.

The 50 year old strong man told judges that he was going to blow up and burst three hot water bottles while standing on his head, but needed someone’s assistance to keep him in position.

Dec took the role of assistant to the bulky performer and Mr. Jones told the Norwich Evening News newspaper:

“At one time I actually thought that the security crew wear all going to pile on the stage and rescue Dec as he was trembling holding me up by my legs, as I could see the security staff back stage ready to come on.

“It was just really crazy as the judges had no idea what was going to happen. I was surprised that they let me carry on with my act as it’s really bizarre and dangerous.

“But I was warned before I went on the stage to just calm down as one of the security people was watching me getting pumped up for the act and was very concerned about what was going on.”

However, the judges weren’t too impressed with his act, with comedian Michael McIntyre telling him: “To justify your surname you might want to do your own headstands rather than have Dec hold your feet.”

Declan Donnelly and Georgie Thompson are said to be at loggerheads over the future of their shared racehorse.

The pair announced their split last month, after dating for two years. They both own a 25% share in the horse, along with his telly partner Ant McPartlin and her mum and the Sky Sports presenter is said to be concerned that Dec won’t allow her to watch the animal race now they aren’t together.

A source said: “Georgie is still reeling from the split with Declan – she is absolutely gutted because she saw her future with Declan.

“But while he wasn’t ready to commit to marriage or babies, he did suggest they buy a racehorse together. They both love going to the races and Georgie was really looking forward to seeing the beast in action.

“But she has convinced herself that Dec won’t let her go to the same races as him and she’ll be made to feel like an unwelcome investor. Georgie is making a real issue out of it and is terrified it’ll irreparably drive the couple apart.”

However, while Georgie is anxious about the arrangements with the horse, Dec is said to be less concerned with the situation.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “As far as Dec is concerned, they’re no longer on speaking terms so until Georgie raises the matter with him directly, he won’t lose any sleep over it.

“Dec is hoping they’ll just agree amicably between themselves which events they will and won’t attend.”

Declan Donnelly has split from his long term girlfriend Georgie Thompson.

The Britain’s Got Talent presenter had been seeing the stunning blonde for two years but in that time had refused to move in together and take the relationship to the next level.

Insiders say Georgie wanted to know that there was at least a chance they would get married in the future, but Dec refused to commit.

A friend of the pair told The Sun:

“There were no big rows, it just reached the stage where they had to decide where it was going. They love each other dearly but couldn’t see it turning into a marriage. Georgie is 34 this year and, like most women at that age, is thinking about marriage and kids.

“Dec just isn’t thinking like that. He’s a very private person and likes living on his own.”

“Most people in a relationship that long would have moved in together – but they didn’t.”

Commenting on the breakup yesterday, Dec said:

“I honestly don’t want to go into why we split. I’ll always have very fond memories.”

A spokesman for the couple added:

“Dec and Georgie’s relationship has sadly come to an end. Nobody else was involved and they remain good friends.”

Declan Donnelly, one half of Ant & Dec, has admitted that he liked the old style X Factor auditions more.

Declan is not a big fan of the audience presence at this year’s auditions and said that he preferred the contestants singing for the judges alone during the early stages.

speaking at the Edinburgh TV festival Dec said: “I personally thought it was better in the audition rooms and one-on-one with the judges.

“To do the auditions in a small room before going to boot camp and then on to the big live studio shows to me was a more logical journey.”

He added: “It’s a very big audience to be auditioning in front of.”
