Denise Welch is reportedly reeling from the amount of abuse she has received on Twitter this week.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner announced on Monday that she has been separated from her husband of 24 years Tim Healy for quite a while and insisted that she is not having an affair with 39 year old toyboy Lincoln Townley, but that her family have known about the relationship for quite some time.

Her words didn’t ring true for many people and after her appearance on Loose Women, Twitter was alight with doubters who claimed that she was just trying to save face and her career.

But some people took things a step too far and today, Welch told The Daily Star that she received a number of ‘sick’ tweets from Twitter users and admitted that she felt she had to involve the police, after one person told her to “slit her wrists.”

Denise admitted:

“It’s a shame that just a few horrible and evil faceless tweeters will get extra publicity for writing such vile things.

“I’m made of stern stuff so I’ll be fine.

“I don’t normally respond but I just felt they needed putting in their place.’’

Addressing the issue, on the micro blogging site Welch also tweeted:

“Please stop being horrible to people you don’t know. You’ll be much happier.

“By the way, my work have reported you to the police and they’ve traced you.

“Have a good day.”

While we here at Unreality TV totally stand against the sort of abuse Denise has been facing online, we do think that rather than involving the police and making a big issue out of this, she should perhaps try to live her life less in the public eye.

After all – and we forgot this until she mentioned it in Big Brother – she is actually quite a talented actress and perhaps she should invest more energy in trying to pursue that area of her career again, than staying in the headlines because of her personal life or worse, because she’s got her boobs out again!

Denise Welch made a big announcement, live on Loose Women this afternoon.

After the weekend’s tabloids were full of reports of her so called affair with events organiser Lincoln Townley, the Celebrity Big brother winner felt she had to speak out and revealed that she and her husband of 24 years Tim Healy had officially separated some time ago and that her relationship with Lincoln was nothing that her family didn’t already know about.

The newly blonde actress – who hit the headlines also last week when Michael Madsen claimed she propositioned him for sex in the Big Brother house – told Loose Women viewers:

I just want to say, this is going to be really difficult for me, but the loose Women audience over the years have given my so much support, so my family made a decision that we would talk about this today.

Tim and I separated some time ago and so I’m not having an affair, we’ve been living our own lives for some time now. But the press furore after I came out of Celebrity Big Brother naively took us by storm but there has been nothing in the papers that my family didn’t know about.

She added:

I wanted to thank everybody for their support and Tim and I feel a sense of relief that we don’t have to hide this anymore, we’ve actually become better friends since we made the decision but we wanted to have Christmas with the family without telling anybody.

I left the house last night to come to London, with great hugs from Tim, great hugs from the boys saying how proud of me that they were. We are all just going to move forward as a family, Tim and I are still going to be co-parents, we love each other very much and we don’t want to lie anymore.

I’m not having an affair, we are officially separated.

Speaking about how she intends to move forward, Denise claimed that she and Tim will now be happier and better friends, because they don’t have to live a lie any longer. She confessed that she takes inspiration from Dawn French, who split from her husband Lenny Henry a few years ago.

Welch explained:

Dawn French said she’d had far more years in a happy marriage than in an unhappy one and that’s how I want to take the 24 years that we’ve had and move on, so that we can still love each other but in a different way.

Denise and Tim share two sons, Matthew and Louis but rather than this split affecting them adversely, she is insistent that her boys will actually be happier with their new way of life. She continued:

I think to be honest the kids are quite relieved, because they want us to be happy and I think that we are going to be happier. We are still going to spend time together.

We had speculated yesterday that something was amiss between Denise and Tim and wondered if they perhaps had an open marriage, as just hours after news broke of her affair last week, they were pictured laughing and enjoying a pub lunch together with pals.

At least now she’s set the record straight, however the timings don’t quite add up for us and if Denise is saying they broke up a few months ago but wanted to live as a family for Christmas, then why are sources reporting that she and Lincoln have been together since April of last year.

Insiders have claimed that Denise Welch has reignited her affair with Lincoln Townley in the past week.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner reportedly dated the 39 year old event organizer for eight months last year, however last week insisted that her marriage to Benidorm star Tim Helay was ‘fine’.

This weekend it has been reported that after recording Loose Women last Monday, the former Coronation Street star returned to the Landmark Hotel in Marylebone, where she met up with Lincoln once again, supposedly behind her husband’s back.

Sources close to Welch have claimed that she is now ‘torn’ between the two men in her life and while she loves Tim as the father of her children, she is drawn by her ‘strong feelings’ to Townley.

“She’s clearly a torn woman and finding it all very difficult. She loves Tim dearly and only wants the best for her children, but she can’t help her strong feelings for Lincoln. They haven’t changed during her time on Celebrity Big Brother,” a source told the Sunday Mirror.

“Denise has had a very busy week with her TV commitments after ­leaving the show but has still found time for Lincoln.”

Last week during an interview on ITV’s Loose Women, Denise claimed that her marriage was in good shape and told Carol Vorderman:

“Everything is fine at home, everything is absolutely fine. We had a great day yesterday, it’a amazing if you’re in something like that, people will try to make a fast buck off you.”

However, insiders say this is patently not the case and added:

“She is worried her marriage has taken its course, but it’s not that simple. When she’s in front of her viewers on Loose Women, talking to her fans on the street and playing up for the photographers she makes out that all is fine at home.”

Denise has previously admitted that both she and Tim have cheated on each other in the past and at one point, almost got divorced over one of her extra marital affairs.

It has been suggested by some that the pair may have an open marriage of sorts and that would seem plausible when considering the amount of stories that break about her love life, yet her relationship with Tim still stands strong.

Denise Welch has finally has her say and denied claims made by Michael Madsen that she begged him to have sex with her.

The actress appeared on Loose Women this afternoon and chatting to her pals, explained what really happened when she called Michael into the toilet – the only room in the Big Brother house with no cameras or microphones – the night before the show ended.

Welch insists that all she was doing, was offering the American actor one of her painkillers and explained:

You have a medication box, so they say to you at Big Brother you cannot ever give any of your medication to another housemate. But Michael had a really bad migraine and sometimes it would take three hours for a tablet to come. So I went:

‘Michael I want to tell you something in the toilet.’

I gave him a tablet for his head, came straight out and apparently I was begging for sex. He tried to sell a story and nobody picked up on it.

Next, host Carol Vorderman addressed the other scandal surrounding Denise right now and alluding to her rumoured affairs with 39 year old event planner Lincoln Townley and her previously gay pal Tom Hopkins asked the star:

How is it at home?

Denise replied:

Everything is fine at home, everything is absolutely fine. We had a great day yesterday, it’a amazing if you’re in something like that, people will try to make a fast buck off you.

Apparently I turned my gay friend straight now, which is lovely. So maybe getting your t*ts out for the lads works all across the board.

Denise also insisted that she didn’t for one minute think she could win celebrity Big Brother, and up until the final night, was sure rugby ace Gareth Thomas would take the crown. She added:

It doesn’t come into your head, especially when you’re feeling alienated and everybody thought that Gareth would win. It never entered my head. All I knew was that I couldn’t walk [out] and that last week – to be cut off from all the people that love you – I didn’t even have a letter from my kids.

Denise Welch has been accused of yet another extra marital affair this morning.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner was yesterday revealed to be having an eight month long affair with 39 year old party planner Lincoln Townley, despite frequently talking about how happy she and husband Tim Healy are together.

Today, yet another conquest has come out of the woodwork and even more interestingly, Tom Hopkins has claimed that he was gay until he slept with Denise in 2010.

The theatre producer claimed that after meeting in a pub, he and Welch shared a taxi back to her hotel and while in the cab, the actress reportedly stripped off and threw herself at him.

He described the star as the ‘only woman’ he has ever been interested in and says that he and Denise went on to sleep together on a number of occasions during their four month affair. The pair were together until April 2011, when Tom says they split when he saw Welch flirting with another man….

Maybe it was her new boyfriend Lincoln…

In other news, just to sully her reputation a bit more, Michael Madsen has claimed that he had to beg the Celebrity Big Brother bosses for help, after Denise repeatedly begged him for sex in the house.

We can’t help but wondering if Denise still owuld have won Big Brother last Friday, if all these stories had come out beforehand….

Michael Madsen has insisted that Denise Welch was a predator while living in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The American actor told The Daily Star that the reason behind his frequent rows with the Loose Women star, was that she was constantly coming on to him, despite the fact that they are both supposedly happily married.

Michael has been married to his wife Deanna Morgan since 1996 and shares three sons with the actress. Denise married Tim Healy in 1988 and shares two sons with the Benidorm star.

However, Michael has claimed that having a husband didn’t stop Welch from coming on to him and told The Daily Star:

“What you saw on the screen and what it was like being trapped in there with her were two different things.

“Denise did say to me she wanted to f*** me – more than once.”

He claimed that he even spoke to Big Brother bosses about asking Denise to back off.

Yesterday it was claimed that Denise – who we already know is no stranger to adultery – has been having an affair with a 39 year old party planner for the last eight months. Insiders say the outgoing actress started sleeping with Lincoln Townley last April.

Denise Welch stole the heart of the British public when she appeared in Celebrity Big Brother and she won the series as it drew to a close on Friday night. However, we can’t help but wonder if the public would have been so supportive if they had heard the rumours that the 53 year old actress has been having an affair behind her husband’s back.

Insiders have told The Mirror today that the Loose Women star has been meeting and sleeping with party organiser Lincoln Townley, 39, for the last eight months, usually in the afternoons when she is finished work on her ITV chat show.

A source told the newspaper that despite recently claiming to be closer to her husband than ever, Denise was actually planning to leave the chubby star when she finished on the Channel 5 reality TV show and a friend of her rumoured boyfriend insisted:

“She told Lincoln she loved him and she was going to announce she was separating from Tim after Celebrity Big Brother. It has got to the point where she wants to stop living a lie.”

They added:

“Lincoln said they have a great time ­together, the age difference doesn’t matter. She is a party girl, without doubt. He loves being with her because she’s such great fun.”

The pair are said to have been secretly dating since they met at an event last April and although they did occasionally stay at his home, it has been claimed that they usually rendezvoused at her suite in the Marriott Hotel County Hall.

Lincoln’s friend said that while it started on a very casual basis and was all about having fun and blowing off some steam, over the last few months things have become more serious, with Denise offering to leave Tim for her new man.

It’s not exactly new behaviour for Denise either, as back in 2004 she nearly destroyed her marriage after having an affair with carpenter Steve Murray. At the time she and Tim almost headed for the divorce court, before he finally forgave her.

Michael Madsen has added flames to the fire this week, when he claimed that during their time in the Celebrity Big Brother house, Denise also offered to have sex with him.

Michael Madsen has hit out at his former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Denise Welch, saying that she was constantly throwing herself at him on the reality TV show.

The American actor claims that the Loose Women star ruined his experience in the Channel 5 series, because she was constantly pursuing him and despite the fact that she is married, she offered to have sex with him on a number of occasions.

The Reservoir Dogs star told The Daily Star:

“She offered to sleep with me a number of times – she just kept trying.

“I couldn’t understand why she was pressing me to do that. But she was deadly serious. I know quite a bit about women and I know when a girl is being serious – and she definitely wanted it to happen.”

We have to admit to being slightly skeptical about Michael’s claims, as surely if Denise had made these offers and laid herself out on a plate, Celebrity Big brother bosses would have aired this TV gold.

However, Madsen continued with his claims and added:

“It made me sick to my stomach – the idea repulsed me. If I was stranded on a desert island I would rather f**k a coconut tree.

“She walked up to me on the last night and said ‘Why don’t we just go and f**k right now?’.”

Michael also admitted that he now feels incredibly sorry for Denise’s husband Tim Healy, who threatened him last week after watching the US star making his wife cry.

He continued:

“I feel sorry for her husband. I heard he wants to ‘sort me out’. Well here I am.

“But if he wants to sort something out perhaps he should have a chat with his wife. If I was him I’d be pretty ­embarrassed.”

Gareth Thomas has admitted that things got very out of hand during the big row in Celebrity Big Brother last week.

In scenes not aired on the Channel 5 show, the rugby star stayed with Denise Welch to protect her against Karissa and Kristina Shannon and Nicola McLean, who were furious after she pulled down one of the twins’ trousers.

Thomas admitted that Big Brother bosses locked him and Denise in one room and the three screaming blondes in another, after it looked like things may turn violent.

He told The Daily Star:

“The twins came running to the door and Big Brother locked it just before the girls got to it.”

“That’s when I told Denise I’d have to sit with her because I wasn’t having them going at her.”

Gareth also admitted that he got a little claustrophobic in the house and struggled with the monotonous routine. He added:

“I struggled in there. I was climbing the walls. The boredom and downtime was a nightmare. It was slowly killing me. I had to watch it when I started to get pissed off with everyone around me.”

Denise Welch has won Celebrity Big Brother 2012!

A emotional but clearly delighted Denise had the usual eviction countdown from fellow Geordie Marcus Bentley, who added, “Haway the lass!” just before the doors opened for Denise to step out of the CBB house as this year’s winner.

The cheering for Denise was rapturous and in true style, she flashed her bra as she left. Dang I love this woman!

Denise wept as Brian led her into the studio for the interview and she spotted her dad. Bless.

However, when Brian asked if she could believe she was the winner, she said, “That first night, as I was last in, I thought I’d been forgotten about!”

But of course, she wasn’t and three weeks later, she’s the winner…

She added, “I’m not going to be modest; it feels bloody brilliant!”

Brian then brought up the fact that Denise has had a “stormy” three weeks, and inevitably, Pantsgate reared its head yet again.

Of her row with Nicola – who of course stepped into Denise’s row with Karissa – Denise said, “As I told Nicola, I don’t regret what I said [to her] but I do regret how I said it.

“But, because I bottled it all up, a few sherries later, it all came out, so I apologised, but there were a couple of things hurting me, and I’m not very good at saying them.

“But that’s something I hope I’ll take out; that I can confront things before they escalate to that point.”

Next on the agenda was Denise’s taciturn friendship/hatred with – or for – Michael, of which she said, “To the day I die, I will not understand that man! Some of the best laughs I had I the house were with Michael…

“But it’s made me learn that not everybody’s going to like me.”

Brian then showed Denise a montage of clips in which she was getting topless, and generally, “getting down with the kids” as Brian put it.

Of the clips, Denise said, “I was just trying to prove to the twins that you don’t need to have a boob job!”

She added, “I did regret it [going topless into the hot tub] later, but I was with Frankie and Kirk, who brought so much life to the house, and having those two naughty boys there was brilliant.”

Brian then said, “On a serious note, what will you take from your experience with us?”

To which Denise replied, “That I can’t please all the people all the time, and that I need to confront situations before they escalate, and I like not waking up with a hangover.”

She then intimated that would not apply tomorrow.

Of what she would have done differently if she could go back, Denise said, “It’s difficult to say Brian until I see it back, because…”

However, due to time running severely out, the interview ended and Denise got to see her best bits!
