Former Big Brother’s Little Brother host, Dermot O’Leary has revealed that he stilll enjoys watching Big Brother on Channel 4 and thinks BB9 is a great series.

Dermot left the show last year after landing the rold of X Factor presenter in 2007.

“I have followed BB this year,” Dermot told We Love Telly magazine. “I think from week two we’ve all had a good idea of who’s going to get to the final. All that show needs is a couple of panto villains and a couple of heroes and it’s on to a winner - and that’s what it’s had.” Read more & comment »

Wouldn’t you think that all X Factor staff would be under contract to publicly support the TV show, and all who came from it?

Well obviously not, as X factor presenter Dermot O’Leary stated on his Radio Two show today that he preferred Christmas song, ‘Don’t Shoot Me Santa’ to Leon Jackson’s ‘When You Believe’.

I always knew the man had taste!

It will be a whole day before we get to see Dermot O’Leary present the X factor tomorrow night, so to keep the withdrawal symptoms at bay, I have decided to share this Celebrity Hijack promo with you all.

Dermot O’Leary has revealed that he managed to make an enemy out of superstar Celine Dion on a recent X Factor show.

We all remember Dermot cutting Celine off mid flow as she heaped praise on each and every singer, and the look of hate that followed.

Dermot told Heat: “That was amazing. The thing was, she really wouldn’t stop, and I had producers in my ear telling me that if she carried on naming every single act on the show and telling us what she thought of them, we’d fall off the air before we got to the actual results. It wouldn’t be the New Year without Big Brother and this year Channel 4 have come up with a new twist on a now old concept! Celebrity Hijack is due to replace Celebrity Big Brother in early January on Channel ’s sister channel E4.

What Is Celebrity Hijack?

Celebrity Hijack is Big Brother with a twist! Instead of an anonymous voice ruling over a group of (usually crazy) housemates, this year a group of probably crazy celebrities will be running the show instead. The celebrities will take it in turn to play the role of Big Brother, setting rules, tasks and punishments for the chosen few.

What Celebrities Will Be Playing Big Brother?

The show kicked off on Thursday the 3rd of January, with comedian Matt Lucas in the Big Brother chair. On Saturday the 5th of January Ian Wright took over the reins. Sunday the 6th of January saw Alan Cumming take the hot seat, Kelly Osbourne arrived on Monday the 7th to take nominations and on Tuesday the 8th of January Russell Brand joined the team. The delectable Dermot O’Leary will present the main E4 show, with James Corden and Mathew Horne fronting the late night Big Brother’s Big Mouth.

When Can We Watch It?

Celebrity Hijack’s first show will kick off on Thursday 3 January at 9PM on Channel 4 and E4. It will continue nightly at 9PM on E4.

You can catch BBLB on E4 from Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm, and on Sundays at 7pm.

Big Brother’s Big Mouth is airing from Monday-Thursday at 10pm and Friday at 10.30pm, only on E4.

You can also catch up with Diary Room Uncut on Saturdays at 10pm.

Channel 4 have released their logo for new reality TV show, Celebrity Hijack.

It’s a bit of a take on the normal Celebrity Big Brother eye, but I couldn’t resist putting up the logo along with the new publicity shot of Dermot O’Leary.

I was in need of my daily Dermot fix.

We are deeply saddened and upset to reveal that the delectable Dermot O’Leary will not be presenting any future series of Big Brother’s Little Brother on Channel 4.

Dermot will front E4’s new BB show, Celebrity Hijack, but that will be the end of his Big Brother work.

Channel 4 has announced that Unreality TV’s favourite TV presenter, Dermot O’Leary will present their new show, Celebrity Hijack.

The show will be based on a Big Brother format, but instead of Big Brother ruling the house of 18-24 year olds, various celebrities will step into his shoes.

Dermot will present the E4 show and the live evictions……he is having a busy year isn’t he! Let’s just say we aren’t complaining!

X Factor presenter and cutest man in the world, Dermot O’Leary, has revealed his secret (or not so secret anymore!) obsession with Sharon Osbourne and her all encompassing hugs.

He recommends that we all try one, but I’m not sure that Sharon would be all too chuffed about that. Maybe the next time we are over at a press event I will try a quick embrace. Although I wouldn’t want her to set her ratty looking dog on me…..
