The X Factor boss finally walked up the aisle tonight, but fear not fans, it was all part of an elaborate, hilarious Comic Relief sketch.
The Red Nose Day team have been teasing us with details of the clip for weeks now but tonight we finally found out who the music mogul tied the knot with and in the end, it was no great surprise.
It’s been revealed today that X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary has had to close one of his restaurants due to “the current financial climate.”
Dermot’s Fishy Fishy restaurant in Poole was apparently losing money due to a drop in numbers of tourists visiting the area, however, his restaurant of the same name in Brighton hasn’t been affected and continues trading.
The Sun reports,”The presenter, who earns £1million a year fronting the ITV show, had opened two Fishy Fishy eateries on the south coast.
“But the economic climate has taken its toll at his 130-seat branch in Poole, Dorset, and it has shut after two-and-a-half years with the loss of 13 jobs.” Read more & comment »
X Factor front man, Dermot O’Leary, has revealed that he has a stalker, who claims to be his wife!
The latest incident that O’Leary, who hosts the hugely popular ITV talent show the X Factor. has had to endure was at the recent EMI War Child event on Wednesday night when the blonde woman, known only as Sue, pushed her way through guests screaming:“Don’t talk to my husband. Go away!”

Dermot O’Leary is a pretty handsome man so we’re not surprised to hear that he has some overly enthusiastic fans but he’s revealed that one in particular has become quite obsessed with him of late.
The X Factor host is newly married but admitted that one particular supporter of his has started following him around and pretending to be his wife. There was an incident between them only this week.
As much as Dermot O’Leary loves hosting the X Factor, he has admitted that his real ambition is to land his own politics based TV show.
Speaking on Loose Women recently, the newly married star revealed that he loves being part of the ITV singing competition and said:
As you may know, X Factor host Dermot O’Leary and Xtra Factor presenter Caroline Flack are presenting interviews from the red carpet of the BAFTAs tonight for E! and while the stars Caroline will speak to are likely to be decked out in glamorous gowns and tuxedos, she’ll be wearing “big pants and long johns.”
That is of course in a bid to avoid dying of hypothermia as she and Dermot will be hanging around in the cold tonight as the show is broadcast live from London’s Royal Opera House.

Dermot O’Leary has admitted that he has no idea who will be judging on The X Factor this year and he doesn’t expect to find out any time soon either.
The hunky star has presented the ITV show since 2007 but insists that he only finds out the lineup about a week before the judges auditions start.
It’s been revealed today that X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary and his Xtra Factor colleague Caroline Flack will report from the red carpet on this year’s BAFTAs for US TV broadcaster, E!
And it seems that Caroline is hoping the jaunt will “open doors” for her in the States as she told The Sun – of which Dermot is a big fan apparently – “I can’t hide my excitement about hosting the Bafta coverage for E! with Dermot.
“It’s the first show I have presented which will screen in the USA, as well as Australia and across Europe.

It’s been revealed today that former Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh Butler and her adorable dog Pudsey are set to dance to Gangnam Style during this year’s National Television Awards, which will air on ITV on January 23.
