The Only Way Is Essex celebrated St Patrick’s Day in last night’s ITV2 instalment, and what a dram-fest it was!

James ‘Arg’ Argent decided, in true Essex style, that the Irish holiday should be marked with a huge, champagne-filled party, to which all the cast turned up in force.

So last night saw the first episode of series 8 of The Only Way Is Essex come crashing onto our ITV2 screens, and what a drama-fest it was!

After all the dramas, upset and scandals from last year’s seris, not to mention the live episode and Christmas specials, all eyes, we expected, were to be focussed on Joey Essex and on/off/on again girlfriend, Sam Faiers. However, it was soon very obvious that none was to be found, especially as they only shared one scene together!

With the series 8 premier of The Only Way Is Essex only a few days away, ITV2 have released the new cast pictures, with a few missing faces!

The Only Way Is Essex is set to return to our TV sets this Sunday (24/02/13) at 10pm on ITV2, and after a rollercoaster series 7 we can’t wait to see what the gang are up to!

However, the pictures released today don’t seem to show the whole picture….

It seems that The Only Way Is Essex star, Chloe Simms, rather liked dressing up as Barbie Girl during the recent live charity TOWIE episode, as she has had all her hair dyed blonde, as the Daily mail reports.

Fans of the hit ITV2 reality show would have seen Chloe, dressed in a skimpy pink swim suit, dancing and singing (albeit horribly) along to the 90′s Aqua hit, Barbie Girl, with the help of her BFF James ‘Diags’ Bennewith, last Monday evening.

Sunday night saw the build-up to the first ever live event begin with Arg gathering all the crew together to announce that he was planning on hosting a charity cabaret evening to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

The Only Way Is Essex star, Chloe Simms, has revealed that she wanted to someone to kill her and end it all when she “hit rock bottom” in her new book ‘The Only Way Is Up.

According to the recently single cousin of Joey Essex, Chloe admits wanting someone to run her over when things were so bad for her that she couldn’t afford to heat the house she lived in with her six-year-old daughter, Madison.

The daytime repeats of the hugely popular ITV reality show, The Only Way Is Essex, are to be removed from scheduling, the Metro reports.

Fans of the hit ITV2 reality show have been, up until now, able to catch up with the antics of the Essex crew at the weekend, with the normally 10pm broadcast being censored for swearing.

Considering the huge cliff hanger TOWIE fans were left on after the Lydia, Lucy, Joey and Kirk in the hot tub scenario at the end of last Sundays episode, we were surprised when it wasn’t mentioned once in last night’s instalment of The Only Way Is Essex, but there was a whole lot of other drama to entertain us!

One thing that was discussed from Sunday’s episode was the Arg and Gemma situation. Chatting with Diags, Arg confirmed that nothing indeed did happen when the busty blonde drove him home following their discussion about whether they should be together, with Arg commenting: “I got in the car with her. She was like naaa! I can’t believe it she actually turned me down. Sometimes in my head I think were made for each other.”

Oh, what a night it was last night on The Only way Is Essex!!!

The episode started really cutely with Tom Kilbey turning up to surprise his girlfriend, Lydia, with a bunch of personalised balloons, which she instantly burst, to mark the 1st anniversary of her boutique, Bella Sorella. The two of them talked and it became pretty clear that Lydia was not happy about the comments Mario made about her last week.
