Diana Vickers has come a long way since The X Factor and we can’t believe how sultry she looks in her recent photoshoot for Very catalogue.

The singer follows in the footsteps of Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton, who have both featured in ad campaigns for the brand and in these new shots, released today, Vickers looks stunning in a red silk blouse, holding a giant lollipop.

And Diana isn’t just posing for the photographs, no she’s helped design her own range for Very and named it Dee V. This is her second collection for the catalogue and in an interview promoting the line, she told The Mirror that she was inspired by vegetables!

“I wanted to really play around with the radish print – make it print bigger and better,” Diana explained, adding:

It has ended up becoming a gorgeous 1950s style full-skirted dress which I’m in love with.”

The whole range has a real rockabilly feel to it and we anticipate it selling well for the young star. She confessed that she intended it to have a retro vibe, continuing:

“My inspiration came from the 1950s and early 1960s retro style. I love all those old fashioned vintage shapes: lots of quirky prints and bright colours.”

Stylejacking.com love the collection and especially a piece of outerwear that Diana designed. They wrote:

We love the white funnel neck coat with three quarter length sleeves. The singer claims that Brigitte Bardot is one of her style icons and this is clear for this shoot.

The barefoot-singing girl-next-door from The X Factor is long gone and Diana Vickers is flying the flag for British cool right now.

Diana even has the rock star boyfriend to boot – she’s been dating George Craig, frontman of indie band One Night Only, for the past six months.

Speaking to this week’s more! magazine about the relationship, she said: “He remembers all the important things. Actually, he remembers all the meaningless stuff too! We chatted at a party, then he tried to woo me. He was very persistent for about three months, sending me lovely texts. Then we were at another party, he picked up a guitar, we got talking and that was it.”

She added: “We haven’t said ‘I love you’ yet. I think it’s a very important and very big thing to say. I’ve only really had one big relationship before this, and I’m not sure I’ve ever been in love before. I don’t know if I’d wait for George to say I love you first or not. I just don’t know yet!”

“I don’t want to jinx things, but the way I feel about him is different to how I’ve felt before.”

Commenting on what it’s like going out with a rock star, Diana told more!: “It’s really fun, we get to go to cool parties and he does DJ nights. But he’s very good, it’s not like he needed taming. If anything, we’ve got more adventurous together. I think there’s an idea about men in bands, but George isn’t like that. He’s really down-to-earth. And it works both ways. When men look at me, he gets a bit like, ‘I don’t like him looking at you like that!’ But we’re secure. We’re in a little bubble, and we don’t really look outside it. What we’ve got is real. All that other stuff outside it is just bullsh*t.”

She gushed: “He says amazing things to me all the time and makes me feel confident about myself.”

Diana Vickers has revealed that she has parted ways with her record label, RCA Records.

The stunning blonde singer came fourth on the 2008 series of the ITV show and was quickly signed by the label, after she was passed up by Simon Cowell’s SYCO.

After touring with her fellow X Factor finalists until March 2009, she began work on her debut album straight away and Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree, was released in 2010.

However, Vickers took to her Tumblr blog last night, to tell fans about the latest development in her career, writing:

“I just want to let you know what the crack is at the moment down in the Vickers camp.

“Myself and RCA have decided to part company, purely based on a creative level. I will always be really thankful for the time we’ve spent together and the support they’ve given me…

“But, I’ve grown up a lot since the first album and whilst the past couple years have been a lot of fun and a great success, I’m now ready to take a wander down a different, very exciting path! In order to grow, this change has to be made.”

Vickers’ first album was released in the UK on 3 May 2010. The lead single, “Once” was released on 19 April 2010 and peaked at number 1 in the UK Singles Chart.

The album peaked at number 1 in the UK Albums Chart selling 35,951 copies in the first week of release. In August 2010, the album was certified Gold by the BPI and has sold over 200,000 copies in the United Kingdom.

Vickers has previously revealed that she has been working hard on her still-untitled second album with Grammy-winning hitmakers Diane Warren and John Shanks.

Starsailor frontman James Walsh is said to be working with her and also X Factor winner Matt Cardle on their upcoming releases.

Former X Factor finalist Diana Vickers has used her personal blog to reveal that she has parted ways with record label RCA.

Diana originally signed with RCA in 2009, but it seems she now thinks her work would be better placed elsewhere.

Diana is a bit of a fashion follower and also has her own fashion line for Very.co.uk – the collection is fun and feminine have a look at what our sister site StyleJacking has to say about Diana’s label Dee V. The 19-year-old has started seeing Emma Watson’s ex-boyfriend, George Craig. The couple were spotted at a charity polo match recently (have a look at the photos).

Vickers has now followed in the footsteps of Fern Cotton and Holly Willoughby and launched a collection for online store Very.co.uk.

The collection is 60s inspired and Vickers admits that she took inspiration from Mad Men, the US television show. It is a small 8 piece capsule collection with a pastel palette and floral prints.

Diana Vickers has admitted that she is backing Aiden Grimshaw to win this year’s X Factor.

The ‘My Wicked Heart’ singer made it as far as the semi finals on the 2008 series of the ITV show and previously tipped Matt Cardle as the top dog.

However, changing her mind Vickers told River Island blog Style Insider:

“I really want Aiden to win. I think that Aiden’s got so much charisma and got something in him.

“I think he needs to get some more confidence and really needs to deliver, but I think that he’s got all the makings there of doing so, so well.

“And I don’t know why, but my guilty pleasure is a bit of One Direction, the boyband, I find them so cute!”

The 19 year old also admitted that she enjoys watching Brazilian singer Wagner each week. She added:

“He’s fun, he’s just having a good time – you’ve got to respect him, he’s just going for it.”

And on her return to the show two weeks ago Vickers confessed:

“It was good. I was very nervous, I was absolutely terrified, but I felt very different as well.

“I thought that I’d feel like a contestant again, but I didn’t. I’ve grown so much since then and I’m my own artist now, so it was really great.”

Diana Vickers has admitted that the X Factor theme tune makes her so nervous, that it actually gives her the runs!

The former semi finalist returned to the ITV show on Sunday night to perform her latest single ‘My Wicked Heart.’ In an interview with X magazine, she admitted that she was terribly nervous about the performance and said that even hearing the theme music is enough to make her run to the loo.

She said:

I need a poo. Literally. Everything runs through me. “Oh my god, I need the toilet right here right now.”

On how she coped with nerves while she was a contestant on the show Diana added:

For myself, I’d never let myself break down in front of the cameras. I’d have the odd tear, but I’d wait, I’d compose myself, and I’d cry after. I’m a worrier, and every week I’d be sick before I went on stage, and I still do now, I get the runs – excuse me, but I do!

She has since notched up a number one single and album and played the title role in the West End revival of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, for which she won the award for “London Newcomer of the Year” in the Theatregoers’ Choice Awards.

This evening Vickers performed ‘My Wicked Heart’ on the results show. It is the first single from the re-release of her debut album Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree and is available to download RIGHT NOW!

Diana looked stunning this evening, dressed in a Beyonce style sparkly leotard, complete with a trendy cape. Her vocals were flawless, her confidence was amazing and the song is ridiculously catchy, though we found it hard to ignore the incredible similarity between the chorus of Wicked Heart and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers classic ‘Under The Bridge.’

Diana Vickers has offered fans the chance to spend an afternoon with her this Friday.

Vickers shot to fame as a semi-finalist on the fifth series of The X Factor. She will return to perform My Wicked Heart this Sunday and writing on Twitter this afternoon, Diana revealed that one lucky fan will be allowed to come to the X Factor studio on Friday and watch her rehearse.

Diana’s Facebook page reads:

“Would you like to spend the afternoon with Diana this Friday? Well, we’re giving one of you the chance to watch Diana rehearse for her upcoming X Factor performance in a London studio!”

Katy Perry and Diana Vickers will both perform on next week’s X Factor results show.

Katy stepped in as a guest judge when the show held auditions in Dublin and helped to put finalist Mary Byrne through to the bootcamp stage. She is expected to perform new single Firework, from her second mainstream studio album Teenage Dream. The track is due for UK release in November 2010.
