Sigh. It seems that the Daily Star’s report last week that Duane ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Chapman’s visa for entry into the UK had been granted was in fact wrong diddly wrong wrong, and I’m gutted.
I’m guessing that Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino was a replacement housemate.
When the Star reported that Dog’s visa had been granted, his Twitter team told me that the report was incorrect, and I did update my article about it to reflect what they’d said, but how utterly ridiculous is it that the Home Office denied him entry into the UK based on his past criminal record?!
In case you weren’t aware of what his record is, in the seventies, Duane served 18 months in prison in Texas for having been in the car that drove a murderer away from the scene of his crime.
The incident happened in 1976 when Duane was 23. He was in a car outside a house in Pampa, Texas, waiting while his friend went inside to buy marijuana… Read more & comment »

Well it looks like Duane Chapman will NOT be going into the Celebrity Big Brother house this evening after all.
The American reality TV star, famous for his series ‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’ was lined up to star on the reality TV show which starts on Channel 5 tonight, however some sources say he has been refused entry into the UK.
The long haired celebrity reportedly had his Visa rejected by border officials, who said that a previous murder conviction and a ‘lack of information’ on his visa application had informed their decision.

An insider from the Celebrity Big Brother camp has told the Daily Star today that Duane Chapman, who is of course Dog the Bounty Hunter, has had his visa granted by the Home Office and will therefore be going into the CBB house on Wednesday!
It’s fantastic news because I’m such a fan of Dog, I was delighted to hear that he’d be taking part, but that was of course tempered by the news that due to his criminal history, his visa for entry into the UK had been denied.
However, according to the insider, it’s now all sorted at “the eleventh hour.”
The source said, “To say he’s had a colourful past would be an understatement.
“He’s been to prison so many times the Celeb Big Brother house will probably be easy for him.

A couple of weeks ago, I was delighted to receive official confirmation from Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Twitter team that he is indeed scheduled to appear in this summer’s Celebrity Big Brother…
However, there’s been a massive hitch in that as of right now, Dog – whose real name is Duane Chapman – has been refused a visa to end the UK as he has a criminal record.
But of course, as fans of Dog will know, his criminal days are in the long ago past – they date back to the seventies – and he now commits his life to actively promoting a law abiding society…
So to ban him from entering the UK is a beaurocratic nonsense and, unless the decision is overturned, it’s a pedantic and jobsworth stance on the part of the Home Office… Read more & comment »

Let joy be unconfined for it has been made official – Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman – who is “not a bounty hunter, I’m THE bounty hunter” – IS going into the Celebrity Big Brother house this year!

I’m a huge fan of Dog the Bounty Hunter – as you can read in my Why I Love post by clicking here – and have watched every episode about ten times. Suffice to say then I am beyond excited to hear he’ll be in the house, and already, I’m there with #dogtowin!

Celebrity Big Brother will be back on our screens later this summer and rumours about who will be in the house are coming through thick and fast.
The latest famous face to be linked to the TV series, which was relaunched on Channel 5 last year, is Dog The Bounty Hunter, who is famous for his own reality TV show which follows him as a fugitive recovery agent, or bounty hunter.
Insiders say the loud mouthed American will be residing with stunning model Rhian Sugden, who is best known as the woman who almost broke up Tess Daly and Vernon Kaye after her sexting scandal with the ‘Going For Gold’ presenter.
