Dirty Sexy Things comes to E4 this summer with a line up of eight beautiful models ready to bare all for an eight-week project led by noted fashion photographer, Perou.

He sets out to create a series of stunning photographs which will challenge his own abilities as well as pushing our models to the extreme.

By following what goes on in front of and behind the camera lens, this brand new concept-doc gets under the skin of modelling and reveals what life is like as a living beauty commodity. Is it one big glamorous party or a battle to stay on top?

In the first episode Perou holds an open casting. He meets the models putting themselves on the front line of fashion and selects eight who would never normally work together based on their individual look and character:

Charlotte (24) – ‘Classically, skinny modern day Twiggy’
Model for fashion houses like Burberry, Armani, Ralph Lauren and French Connection. Now does commercial campaigns for big brands like ASOS, Ann Summers, Range Rover, Superdrug and L’Oreal and starred in a TV commercial for Microsoft.

BB (24) – ‘Male Adonis’
Recently launched his modelling career with an M&S TV ad campaign and walked the catwalk with Naomi Campbell. This follows a successful dance career working closely with Louis Spence of Pineapple Studios and Brian Friedman on X Factor. He has danced with global superstars including Kylie, Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé.

Ariella (21) – ‘Commercial blonde bombshell’
An editorial and commercial model, Ariella’s clients include L’Oreal, Matches, Selfridges and Tom Ford. She’s also modelled across Europe with GUESS in Milan, Gomez-Grazia showrooms in Paris and starred on an international cover for SuperSweet Magazine.

Lord Rob (28) – ‘Beef-cake guy’
A favourite with magazines like Men’s Health and Men’s Fitness, Rob has seven front covers under his belt. He has also starred in underwear campaigns for Next and Kent & Curwen.

Ocean (24) – ‘Kooky girl’
A former child model who has been working between London and Japan, Ocean focuses on the editorial side of modelling, working for high end fashion brands and magazines. Her clients include Topshop, Vivienne Westwood, Duck and Cover, Levi’s, Elle and Vogue magazine.

Jesse (19) – ‘Classic preppy boy’
Our youngest model, Jesse has already shot editorials for Wonderland, GQ Style and Tatler ‘Bright Young Things’. His clients include French Connection, Lacoste and Jack Wills and he has walked in shows across Europe, including Elliot J Frieze and Moschino. He is the lead singer of Indie Punk band Lux, with Fin Kemp.

Jessye B (19) – ‘Fun, modern, funky, street.’
The face of the new Kelly Hoppen clothing range, Jessye has also done campaigns for Wella, Gap, St Tropez and TK Maxx. She has featured in Cosmopolitan and Company Magazine, and has worked with Rankin, Regan Cameron and Tony McGee.

Jay (21) – ‘Urban, edgy, London’
Started modelling in June and immediately got snapped up by Wonderland and Roller Coaster Magazine. Since then Jay has appeared in GQ, Rewind and Vice Magazine as well as being the face of Pure London and starring in campaigns for Kurt Geiger and Puma.

Some of the above ages are in model years!

It’s London Fashion Week and Ariella and Ocean, and Jesse and Jay find themselves competing for the same shows but places are limited, competition is fierce and everyone is brutally honest!

Not all the models are in London however. BB is in Southend dancing on tour with Alexandra Burke and is struggling with the fact he’s missing out. Charlotte, on the other hand, doesn’t think the fashion shows are worth it and would rather be earning money. She is modelling her sister’s high end lingerie line instead.

Rob would like to take part but is aware that as a fitness model his body is too large. He reveals his impressive underwear collection, some of which have him posing on the packaging. He admits to spending up to £200 a month on brand new undies and likes to look good in them for glamour model girlfriend Anastasia.

This week Perou is shooting the group in a lingerie shoot with a difference. Known for edgy, iconic images he decides to shake things up at the last minute when he reveals they’ll be taking to the streets of central London to bare all. There are mixed opinions on this especially from Jay who suffers from serious body issues and Ariella who is very clear on what she will and won’t wear.

In a final shock tensions run high when Perou chooses his four favourite models of the group for his final shoot.

It may make you cringe and your skin crawl, but somebody must be watching Made In Chelsea, because E4 has announced a second series of the show.

The reality TV show is set in the wealthy Chelsea district of London and focuses on the lives of cast members like Ollie Locke, Spencer Matthews, Fredrik Ferrier, Francis Boulle, Hugo Taylor, Milly Mackintosh, Amber Atherton, Alexandra Felstead, Francesca Hull, Rosie Fortescue, Caggie Dunlop and Gabriella Ellis.

During the first series, the show regularly attracts around 700,000 viewers per episode, so E4 are planning another run.

David Williams, E4′s commissioning editor, said: “In addition to delivering great audiences, episode one trended worldwide on twitter and ‘Made in Chelsea’ has been a phenomenal success on our online catch up service 4OD.

“The staggering amount of audience engagement has proven it to be a perfect fit for E4′s young audience.”

Meanwhile, Sarah Dillstone – the show’s executive producer added: “‘Made in Chelsea’ has proven addictive viewing for UK audiences, a testament to our brilliant cast and their extraordinary lives. We are excited to give fans the opportunity to delve deeper into these characters’ relationships next season.”

Amber Atherton – who appears alongside best friend Rosie Fortescue in the series – recently revealed show bosses are thinking of taking ‘Made In Chelsea’ stateside.

She explained: “They are in talks to launch ‘Made in Chelsea’ in America. I think it would go down well over there. Americans are obsessed with the British and they loved the royal wedding. They’d love us.”

Last night saw the launch of the new TOWIE rival reality show, Made in Chelsea.

Run by by soap and drama writing legend Daran Little, the show is based on a group of friends living in the elite Chelsea quarter, and is a combination of Gossip Girl and Hollyoaks.

As with any new reality show, this first episode shows some first time screen nerves, but on the whole is very exciting and promising.

Centred on one main character, Caggie, the show follows her and her lifestyle, with a love interest storyline evident from the start, with her childhood sweetheart, Spencer, who unfortunately has a girlfriend, Funda.

There are obviously similarities between Made in Chelsea and The Only Way Is Essex as the age of the stars is the same and the ways they spend their time is similar, but this show is easier on the fake tan, the boob jobs and the eyes, and has instead slightly more sophisticated conversations with intelligence…..though we’re not promising talk of brain surgery or nuclear science here!

As far as first episodes go, this one was surprising, and I will certainly be following it. I can see real potential in the stories and the cast. It shows Chelsea for the socialite hotspot it is, with real people, real lives and really beautiful people trying to make their mark on the world.

The curry was on my lap. The beer was ice cold. The telly was on. I was ready for a seminal, epoch-changing seventy-five minutes of programming.

What would I be watching: the Obama inauguration? No. The general election? Guess again. The final episode of Tool Academy? A tequila slammer for whoever got that right

In case you haven’t seen Tool Academy – which means congratulations, you’re a respectable person who is going to do something with their lives – the premise is such:

Twelve men gather in a Yorkshire manor house, joined in the naïve belief that their girlfriends have entered them into Britain’s Biggest Lad competition. This dirty dozen is an unfailing cross-section of Malia Uncovered: arrogant, boorish, preening and, above all, very stupid men. You’ve seen one of them in a club before, pounding shots of tequila and harrowing shyer people. So naturally, they don’t suspect a thing.

The game-changer was that it was all a rouse; they’d actually been enrolled in Tool Academy by their girlfriends who, rather than dump their hapless half-wits, actually thought they could change them. Who are the stupid ones now?

So the boyfriends-cum-cavemen spend the next eight episodes separated from their partners, doing depraving and downright odd tasks – as well as hearing the word “tool” about a hundred times a day (Guantanamo mental torture 101 right there) – and gathering every so often in burgundy-hued school uniform to be judged by made-for-TV psychologist Sandra Scott, then expelled by Rick Edwards.

Every week holds a new lesson. They’ve had to do emotionally-harrowing things like attending the pretend funeral of their girlfriend. Psychologically-straining activities like carrying around a rucksack containing the weight of their partner in sand (evidently the producers like to turn lighter metaphors into burdensome visual representations). Oh, and getting a tattoo of their partner’s name. You know: all realistic, normal things that happen in real, normal relationships.

All the while, chiselled T4 cool-purveyor Edwards manages to outsmug Simon Cowell, popping up regularly to remind the fellas how toolish and useless they are. All this for one schmuck to gain £25,000 and the dubious honour of being told by Edwards that they are “no longer a tool.” And then receiving a hug. Just like a longtime oppressor French kissing their Stockholm Syndrome-suffering victim.

A curmudgeon would say it’s horrific. But then a curmudgeon wouldn’t be watching E4. In truth, it’s horrifically watchable, whether waiting for Angry Tool to completely flip out (“Rargh! This is bullshit!”) or hearing another confused gem from the weed-addled mind of Stoner Tool. Even watching the wronged girlfriend punch her bouncer boyfriend over caught-on-camera infidelities is television gold.

So far, so Jeremy Kyle. Still, I ended up feeling sorry for the dumb, but not-so-bad tools, quickly realising that their girlfriends are sometimes just as messed up as them.

Anyway, now there were three: perma-downturned-face Massive Tool Dave, Jealous Tool Danny. And pleasant-but-vacant goon Harry, who had wandered straight off a Guy Ritchie movie set.

The first lesson tonight was babycare. For which, using the same unimpeachable logic as previous episodes, they had to look after three piglets. Bad for babies, worse for the RSPCA, worst for Danny (“The fucker’s bit the shit out of me,” he squealed eloquently).

Then, time for Meet the Parents. Parents who have jumped-up expectations of their beloved ones and got shown footage from the series-opening Britain’s Ultimate Lad moment when lads met glamour models.

It wasn’t very incriminating, more cringeworthy that Harry kept saying “no comment” into his microphone to the planted glamour models’ questions as if he was sharing some hilarious private joke.

Then, Masterchef for the friends and family. That one was too easy: blokes and cooking normally go together like… well, babycare and piglets. Dave ended up “apologising for the last six years” to his group. The food probably wasn’t that bad, mate.

Then the result. Danny was crowned “Not a Tool”. Well, the winner. And what an ending: he fist-pumped and moved through to the room of waiting girlfriends and family. Saying something so muffled and sub-human it had to be subtitled (it was apparently “will you marry me”), he got down on one knee and girlfriend Becky said yes.

Fireworks popped, frenzied hugging followed and that was the final flourish. The Tool had become a man, a fittie now his fiancée.

And so they lived happily ever after. In a cramped one-bedroom flat in Luton with a pin-filled Rick Edwards voodoo doll, most probably.

Lee Mills and Jade Panton have admitted that taking part in E4′s Tool Academy has helped them ‘fix the problems’ in their relationship.

Mills, who was named ‘Lazy Tool’ on the show, confessed that he has now realised that he needs to be more romantic and thoughtful and told Get Bracknell:

“I was Lazy Tool, and I realised I was not as romantic as I should be towards Jade.”

“It really opened my eyes and we were able to work to fix the problems. I’ve had a bit of stick from my colleagues at work for some of the things on there, but it’s really helped to fix the problems we had.”

His partner Jade Panton added: “I can only describe going on Tool Academy as an emotional rollercoaster.”

Tool Academy airs every Monday at 10pm on E4.

Former Eastenders star Natalie Cassidy has landed her own E4 reality TV show.

Insiders have revealed that TV cameras will follow the pregnant star as she gets ready to give birth to her first child and then after the delivery they will document her battle to lose the baby bulge.

A source said: “People seem to be fascinated with Natalie.”

E4 controller Angela Jain has said that she thought Big Brother had a few more years of life left in it.

Last Week Channel 4 announced that next year would see Big Brother airing its last season, however speaking at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, Jain said the show still pulls in viewers.

Broadcast quotes Jain as saying: “If we were a purely commercial channel, we may have taken a slightly different decision.

“We might have said, ‘You know what, there’s probably another two or three years in it, if we’re getting two million, that’s fine. We’ll have that. Thanks very much’.”

“It’s still doing really well,” she remarked. “But the thing we were all feeling really keenly was that we just didn’t want to flog the programme to death.”

E4 has acquired a new reality TV show, RuPaul’s Drag Race, it has been announced.

The first series will launch in August this year with the second following soon after.

Head of Channel 4 acquisitions Gill Hay said of the deal: “I’m pleased to bring more of Logo Network’s programming to E4.

“I hope RuPaul’s quest to find the most glamorous drag queens in the US will entertain UK viewers on E4 as much as it captured the imaginations of fans in the States.”

Channel 4 have revealed that they plan to air a two part tribute to Big Brother star Jade Goody, who passed away last month.

The channel had initially said they would not be making a show dedicated to Jade, instead they planned to do a Big Brother tribute. However, given the massive public response to her death and funeral the channel have done a u-turn and will air a tribute show next month.

An insider told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “We weren’t going to do a dedicated show on Jade because she had only just died and everyone was a little overwhelmed by it all. It took a few weeks for her death to truly sink in.

“But it was clear from the support Jade and her family got from the public that there is great affection for her. We are planning a series of shows to mark our tenth anniversary and it would be a real shame not to give Jade her own show, separate from the others.

“It will be a celebration of her life, rather than a sad look back.”
