Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles engaged in a bit of Twitter banter this week, which all kicked off when the ‘A Team’ hitmaker complained about public displays of affection.
The two stars have been BFF’s for a while and only last week they grabbed lunch in a lovely English country pub when they both returned to the UK for a few days’ break in the middle of their respective tours.

The One Direction singer and A Team hitmaker have been very busy boys of late, while Harry travels his way around the UK and Europe with his bandmates for their Take Me Home tour and Ed performs on a near nightly basis as support act for Taylor Swift at her ‘Red’ shows.
‘A Team’ singer Ed Sheeran has claimed that One Direction have completed work on their new album. The star also revealed that unlike in the past, he hasn’t contributed any of the songs himself to the lads forthcoming album, as he wants to write more songs for himself.
One Direction have already confirmed that they will be releasing a new album in time for Christmas, so who would have thought the lads would already be almost finished recording their new songs.
Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan have been busy bees this year, between promoting the final singles of their second album ‘Take Me Home’ and then taking the songs on the road with their world tour of the same name.
Ed Sheeran has revealed that he is in a very difficult position at the minute, after two of his best friends split up recently.
Harry Styles dated Taylor Swift for around six weeks, before the couple broke up in January during what was supposed to be a romantic holiday in the Caribbean.
When One Direction star Harry Styles split from US pop star Taylor Swift, it was, some reports alleged, because she was a “prude and a homebody” who wasn’t into partying or bedroom action…
So when we saw that Taylor’s new BFF – and possibly BF – Ed Sheeran had said “It was just about to impale Taylor…” we were of course tempted to deploy Philthy Mind Mode and make a few suggestions that may have suggested Taylor was far from prudish.
However, the truth of it is Ed was recalling a time when – as you do – he took a sword on board a plane and during the flight, while the sword rested on a table, it slid towards Ms Swift. Read more & comment »

And while rumour is rife that Ed and Taylor are more than just good friends, Taylor has apparently revealed that she’d love to date Price Harry!

Though it will probably come as no surprise to her fans, US pop star Taylor Swift has finally admitted that her hit track I Knew You Were Trouble is indeed about One Direction star Harry Styles, who she of course dated briefly last year.
Taylor of course sang the track while at the Brits last month, which Harry also attended with his One Direction band mates, and during an interview with The Sun, Taylor remarked, “It’s not hard to access that emotion when the person the song is directed at is standing by the side of the stage watching.”
And when quizzed about the split from Harry, Taylor said, “There’s really no sound quite as loud as a phone not ringing, a letter unanswered.” Read more & comment »
There have of course been lots of rumours floating about of late that Harry Styles’ ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift may be rather more than friends with singer songwriter – and Harry’s pal – Ed Sheeran…
However, when quizzed about the possibility that he is romantically involved with US pop star Taylor – after he was spotted leaving her hotel in the early hours of the morning recently – Ed told New Zealand’s TVNZ that there was nothing more than friendship afoot.
