Strictly Come Dancing 2011: Erin Boag worries about Rory Bremner’s stage fright

Rory Bremner has started his Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals and admitted that he is incredibly nervous about his first performance.

The impressionist and comedian was paired with blonde beauty Erin Boag on last Saturday’s launch show and speaking about how their first day of practice went, he admitted:

I think after the euphoria and the fake tan have faded from show one, then the nerves kind of come back in and take up residence, but Erin is so calm and reassuring and you just think just go with it, trust her and enjoy it, she’s brilliant.

Erin Boag tips Prince Harry for Strictly Come Dancing 2012

Erin Boag has admitted that her ideal ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner would be the delectable Prince Harry.

The professional ballroom dancer – who has starred in all eight previous series’ of the BBC dance competition – has confessed that she would love the red headed royal to agree to appear on the show and of course, if he did, she’d want to partner him.

Strictly Come Dancing 2010: Peter Shilton & Erin Boag disappoint with salsa

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Peter Shilton was the second person to take to the big BBC dancefloor tonight.

The former football star took on the salsa with his partner Erin Boag and after we got over the extreme brightness of her hideous outfit, we realised that it was going to be a poor routine. Peter dances worse than my dad, after ten pints of beer, at a family wedding. I think that he even managed to make Erin look bad tonight!

Ballroom High On Sky One With Anton Du Beke & Erin Boag

Sky1’s entertaining documentary sees two of the UK’s most respected dancers putting their reputations to the test, and on the line. Celebrity dancers ANTON DU BEKE and ERIN BOAG (Strictly Come Dancing) will select a team of dance rookies aged 14 to16 from a typical inner city comprehensive then have just four weeks to train the novices from scratch, to a high performance standard. The ‘students’ will then have to perform a dynamic dance routine at a major gala event to a packed house at the prestigious Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Anton and Erin have played a huge part in the country’s renewed passion for the rumba, the tango and the Viennese waltz. They’re passionate about the potential of ballroom dancing and their outstanding talent and professionalism will definitely be invaluable to the 12 teenagers. However, this uplifting two-part series looks at the bigger picture; can ballroom dancing have a lot more to offer than glitz, glamour and celebs in sequins?
