With their debut album heading to the top of the charts, electric string quartet Escala are today named the legs of innovative hosiery brand Pretty Polly.
The glamorous four-piece caused a sensation in the final of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2008 and were immediately signed by music mogul Simon Cowell. This week saw them triumphantly return to the show with a performance of the Led Zeppelin classic Kashmir, watched by 15 million viewers.
Since reaching the final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2008, and signing their seven figure record deal courtesy of music mogul Simon Cowell, pop goddesses and electric string quartet ESCALA have been on a mission. A mission to break down the barriers of classical music; to inject new, pop energy into a genre so often ignored by contemporary mainstream and to take the world along for the ride! Susan Boyle will appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show this Monday.
The singer will feature as part of an episode titled ‘The World’s Got Talent’ along with Simon Cowell and last years BGT runner’s up, Escala and Signature. Last year’s America’s Got Talent winner, opera singer Neal E Boyd, will also appear on the programme.
Susan’s section has been pre-filmed at her home in Scotland in which she gives viewers a tour. She will also conduct an interview via skype.
Sexy string quartet Escala are all set to land a £1 million deal with record company Sony BMG.
Simon Cowell is said to be keen to sign up the girls and try to break them in America.
A source told the News Of The World: “After seeing Escala’s performance on Friday night, Simon decided that win or lose, he was going to turn the girls into his next mega-money makers.
