Victoria Beckham may have underwhelmed some American Idol fans with her lacklustre critique of the auditionees, but you can’t deny that she looked good doing it.
For her judging debut, the singer-turned-designer turned up to the Boston auditions looking sleek and chic in a gorgeous over-the-knee navy dress with chiffon overlay from the Victoria Beckham Collection. She accessorised the outfit with matching heels and a stunning gold watch.
For the final shows of this year’s X Factor series, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue pulled out all the fashion stops.
Yes we know it is supposed to be about the singing, but we have to admit that we looked forward to seeing Dannii and Cheryl’s fab dresses each week, almost as much as we did to the vocal performances.
Cheryl Cole went all out on Sunday night’s X Factor, we think she was hoping to rival the dramatic fashion choices of guest performer Lady GaGa.
She appeared in a black lame dress by Stéphane Rolland, which had an long train, voluminous sleeves and a fussy neckline. She topped off the outfit with a pair of Pierre Hardy heels.

This week Cheryl opted for a black and pink one shouldered gown by Russian designer Chapurin, it is part of the Spring 2010 range. The one shouldered look is really being worked on The X Factor this year, check out Dannii’s dress below and both girl’s dresses last week also. We first thought that Cheryl had accessorised the dress with that fab chunky necklace, but when we checked out the catwalk video below (forward to 06.50) we realised that it might actually be part of the dress.
In a series of X Factor that has been dominated by Dannii Minogue’s new and daring hair styles, it was nice to see Cheryl Cole sporting a different look last night.
Cheryl emerged onto stage in a stunning one shouldered gown, with shoulder length tousled hair. A big departure from her long, flowing (and fake) locks of days gone by.
X Factor semi finalist (yes we are at that point of the series already!) Stacey Solomon has admitted that she adores her Dannii Minogue’s sense of style and is hoping that she may pass some of her old garments her way.

We don’t know how to feel about Cheryl Cole’s new ‘do’ for her latest music video. Cheryl tried the bleached blonde look ’3 words’, the second single from her debut solo album of the same title. The song also features Black Eyed Pea’s Will.I.Am.
X Factor’s Sunday night show saw a return to a more conventional dress for Cheryl Cole. On Saturday night she wore a strange, structured Giles Deacon creation with full structured skirt and cut-away panels, however on Sunday she wowed in a Jean Pierre Braganza Spring 2010 backless cold-shoulder dress from the designers ‘Psychadelactica’ collection. She teamed the dress up with Nicholas Kirkwood pearl embellished heels and magenta bauble drop earrings.. A better look than Saturday night’s ensemble, but she’s worn nicer outfits on previous weeks.
