The Sun today reports that TV and radio presenter Fearne Cotton “raced” to be at her best friend Holly Willoughby’s side in hospital last night.

But ever the joker, Fearne tweeted a picture of herself pretending to take gas and air.

Holly is of course in labour with her second child, and while visiting Holly last night, Fearne took the picture above and subsequently posted it to her Twitter page.

Fearne tweeted, “Just at the hospital checking in on Holly who is still in labour. Don’t worry I’m fine…”

She later added, “Just leaving holls now. So weird that when I see her next she’ll have a new little bubba. So excited.”

It was Holly’s ‘This Morning’ co-host Phil Schofield who first revealed that Holly was in labour, and on today’s show, Phil told viewers that Holly was “doing fine.”

He added, “There’s no news. We’re all still waiting. The baby is a bit early so there isn’t a great rush to get her out.”

Former Xtra Factor presenter Fearne Cotton has mad a sneaky jibe at her old ITV show.

The 28 year old Radio One DJ will front is Sky1 talent series ‘Must Be The Music’ when it launches this Sunday.

Fearne told The Daily Star: “I am looking for genuine talent. Someone who doesn’t need to be told how they should be to get noticed.”

A spokeswoman for X Factor supremo Simon Cowell, 50, responded: “We would like to wish Fearne all the best with her new TV show. What’s the name of it again?”

Radio One DJ Fearne Cotton has denied Simon Cowell’s claims that Rage Against The Machine fans are bullying Joe McElderry.

The band have been backed by a huge Facebook campaign in a bid to help push their single ‘Killing In The Name Of’ to the number one spot, therefore beating Joe McElderry’s ‘The Climb.’

Talking about the campaign in a recent interview Simon said:

“If you take me out of the equation, you have a teenager with his first single being attacked by a huge hate mob on Facebook. It almost feels like a little kid being bullied. It feels like a spiteful campaign aimed at an 18-year-old who won a talent competition.

“It’s David versus Goliath and it’s not fair on Joe. It’s getting out of hand.”

However, Fearne Cotton wholeheartedly disagrees and she told The Mirror: “Simon’s been saying he thinks there’s some hate mob against X Factor, but I don’t think this is the case at all. It’s more a case of genuine rock fans versus genuine teenybopper fans.”

The Radio 1 presenter continued: “Simon needs to realise nobody’s against the show – but I love rock music. Not everyone out there’s going to love the music X Factor produces. It gets dull when it’s a case of guaranteed number one.

“Joe’s a sweetheart and good on him giving it a good bash. Kids like it but it’s not for us old rockers.”

Episode one

The first episode in the series sees Fearne gain an exclusive insight into the life of the controversial heiress Paris Hilton.

As she jets out to join her in her LA mansion, Fearne hopes to discover the truth behind the headlines about the model, actress and pop star.

With her glamorous lifestyle the 28-year-old is pursued by paparazzi wherever she goes and has become a fixture in the world’s magazines and newspapers.

Coming from the Hilton Hotel dynasty Paris is rumoured to be worth in excess of $50 million. Her name is now a brand in its own right, which includes clothing and handbag ranges, a perfume collection, record label and even a dog accessories range. But Fearne sets out to discover how much Paris is involved. Is she simply a figure head or is she more than just a pretty face?

Paris has starred in five series of the hit reality TV show The Simple Life as well as her own hugely successful Paris’ British Best Friend and My New BFF shows. As Fearne explores the diet and exercise regime of a ‘pro-ana’, she’ll try some of the extreme regimes that they endorse and meet other girls who’ve embraced the same lifestyle. She will explore the seductive nature of these ‘support’ groups, examine the world of competitive dieting, and look at relationships that ordinary women have with each other when it comes to diet and body image.

Fearne Cotton says: “It’s been a surreal journey making this show and I have learnt a lot. I hope it shows girls and women out there that they can get help if they need it.

“Hopefully the show demonstrates how serious eating disorders can be and how more help is needed out there. I also really want people to see how damaging and terrifying pro anorexic websites are. I was so shocked and I’m sure most will be too.”

Former Xtra Factor host, Fearne Cotton has spoken out about the amount of attention that her pal, Holly Willoughby’s revealing Dancing On Ice dresses have gotten recently, and described the drama as “hilarious!”

She told The Sun: “I think it’s hilarious. It seems weird that there is so much fuss over Holly’s boobs when they are obviously really great.

“We all know Holly Willoughby has the most amazing figure ever. Anyway she’s always dressed like that. She loves the ’50s style fashion which oozes glamour.

“It only got about five complaints. It’s all a bit of fun and she shouldn’t change.”

Fearne took the job from Ben Shepherd last year, but is keen now to move in the footsteps of Cat Deeley and make it in the States.

A source told The Sun: “Fearne had fun working on X Factor but she decided to quit while she was ahead.

“There was no guarantee she would have been doing a second series. It made sense to make a clean break and concentrate on America.

“There’s no bad blood between her and the X Factor lot but they didn’t exactly get on like a house on fire.”

As part her ITV2 show, The Xtra Factor, Fearne will have a slot called Cotton Buddies. The TV star remarked yesterday: “A lot of the people waiting to audition are single and bored. So I wander around and try to set people up”

She added: “It’s fun and takes their minds of being nervous.”

She did have quite a giggle when a journalist suggested that she might try and get Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh together as they seemed to miss each other so much during Louis’ short sacking. But to be honest, I think Simon is way out of Louis’ league!

I really admire Simon Cowell. There’s this weird perception he’s mean but he’s just honest. And I’ve interviewed Dannii Minogue quite a few times. She’s very sweet, and loving being on the show.”
