On tonight’s Celebrity version of Living’s Four Weddings, jungle babe Nicola McLean starts proceedings with her celebrity wedding. With all three celebrity competitors seated for her ceremony, ex boyband member Dane Bowers sings whilst the bride to be makes it down the aisle. Terry is not so impressed by Nicola’s dress “big dress, I’m not into that and she kind of walked in holding it.” In agreement Phil comments “It was that thing that should be on a toilet roll in your grandma’s toilet.” After the ceremony and much encouragement from Phil, Terry strips to his undies and jumps into the pond surrounding the venue.

Next is East 17’s Terry Coldwell, who cannot hide is disappointment that fellow band member Brian Harvey turns up late missing the service, strangely enough Brian also seems to be accompanying DJ Talent to the reception. Onto the first marryoke which starts as a wedding waltz to KC and JoJo’s All My Love and soon turns into a re-enactment of Michael Jackson’s thriller. Not easily pleased, Nicola remarks “They did about five of the dance steps that were in the Thriller video really badly, no-one else joined in and there was a bit of smoke and it was absolutely horrendous.” Onto the evening’s entertainment and the guest’s are treated to an East 17 performance.

Onto Phil and Gary’s wedding, the three celebrities are treated to a theatrical, Midsummer Night’s celebration, complete with fairies, models on stilts and unicorns. A little confused, Nicola admits “I actually saw unicorns, I actually did think that was their hair thing or their horn thing and then Terry told me it wasn’t so feel slightly stupid now.” Back to the competition she goes on “I have to admit I am slightly worried about the competition.” Terry on the other hand feels like he has just walked into Narnia. After the ceremony the guests enjoy entertainment from a host of acts including X Factor singer Brenda, who battles through her performance even during a power cut.

Last up is Sandra Dickinson’s big day, at movie production house Shepperton Studios. Doing what she likes best, Nicola is straight on the offensive. On Sandra’s younger husband Mark, she remarks “I think he should shave that, he looks a bit of a beast and the white suit I’m not feeling it.” Terry however, hasn’t a bad word to say about Sandra, who walks down the aisle in a lacy white number “I thought, I bet she has a lacy thong under that as well” not stopping there, he later congratulates her newly wedded husband by adding “If she wasn’t marrying you, I’d have been there you know.

29 year old, wedding planner Kate Mamo from Norfolk is this week’s episode’s first bride. She is tying the knot with partner Jamie Mulhall and has given him, along with another planner, full responsibility of organising her big day. Despite being a control freak, Kate is confident that her husband will create the surprise wedding of her dreams! She has entrusted Jamie to put on a sophisticated and tasteful affair since she does not approve of obvious hotel type weddings. The romantic exchange of personalised vows at the ceremony leaves contender Linda tearful whilst contestant Sarah giggles uncontrollably at the live singer. All the brides are in awe on entering the lavish reception which is beautifully decorated, and bride Kate is proud of her husband’s efforts. The brides are quick to criticise the food, but all in all the wedding turns out a success!

The next to marry, is school administrator Sarah Boyle from Bexleyheath, who has chosen the Marriot Hotel as the wedding venue. She wants to ensure that both she and her guests will be suitably drunk in order to party the night away, without being thrown out of the hotel! Though contestant Kate isn’t impressed by Sarah’s choice of venue, she does have positive things to say about her dress. At dinner, the brides enjoy the starter which is followed by a not so enjoyable main course and desert, but are delighted to see Sarah smile for once, during her husband’s speech! The extrovert is unleashed for the first dance, a medley of tracks like YMCA, a highly entertaining package. The highlight of the evening is when the groom, Brad Shutlar performs his party trick, and strips in front of everyone, leaving bride Linda in utter shock!

Thirdly, we are introduced to Linda Jane Burke from Derry, who is excited about being the centre of attention at her St Patrick’s Day inspired marriage. With a whopping budget of £20,000, Linda and partner Kevin O’Neill are eager not to disappoint. Bride Kate isn’t impressed with Linda’s sober wedding dress and believes it does nothing to flatter her figure. After a rather long service where the brides grow bored, they set off for Linda’s reception party which is a bit of a drive away. Unable to tolerate their rumbling stomachs, the girls make a quick stop for a snack, before continuing on their journey. Everybody is pleasantly surprised upon arriving at Linda’s venue which they think is very classy and stylish. Linda has invited Irish dancers to entertain the guests, who are well received and contestant Kate becomes emotional on watching them. The disco then brings the night to a perfect end.

Our last wedding of the episode is that of laid back, Jill Stevens from Norfolk, and her partner Stephen Wise. Jill is having a very traditional and low key affair and will make sure there is no cheesy music playing. As the bride walks down the aisle, Kate and Sarah think she looks stunning in her dress. The contestants like the personal touch of Jill’s mum being the one to marry her and enjoy the hymn singing during the service. They aren’t however, impressed with the reception venue, claiming it’s too small and badly laid out. Later on in the evening the guests are invited to release Chinese fire lanterns, which, although sound very exciting and unique, prove to be rather dangerous, especially un-impressing Kate. Jill and Stephen’s choreographed first dance goes down a treat with the other brides and they thoroughly enjoy performing it.

This week’s first bride to be is sports trainer, Mandie, who invites her fellow brides to a farmyard ceremony and reception. The brides are impressed by the ‘transformation’ from barn to wedding venue; however, the first impression doesn’t stick, with rival Sharon declaring “it’s a bit in your face, not my cup of tea at all.” Mandie’s competitors are again not overly impressed by the lack of guests, making the venue look empty and sparse. On reflection, Donna concludes “It’s been nice, but nothing out of the ordinary.”

Next to tie the knot is 28 year old Stacey, who has entrusted her wedding reception to her mother. Having arrived at the big day, Mandie notes that she would have “brushed past Stacey’s dress in the shop”. Onto the secret venue, Stacey and her newly wedded husband don eye masks. Once in place, Portsmouth FC is revealed as their reception location. During the food, Stacey’s guests are given memorabilia football shirts, emblazoned with the wedding date, once again Mandie is not enthralled and soon starts to wind Sharon up, thanks to her consistent moaning, “Mandie is a pain in the arse!”

Our last wedding of the episode is that of white witch, Sharon. Arriving for the pagan ceremony on the back of the bike, the couple then undergoes the traditional hand-fasting and jumping the broom. To get into the spirit of the day, Mandie has made a special effort to look the part wearing her very own pagan headdress, but as Stacey rightly puts is looks more like Wonder Woman. Judging Sharon’s dress, Mandie continues with her negativity “looked very Morticia, you know Adam’s family, it was nice but not fantastic.”

Will Sharon have bewitched her competitors into scoring her high? Will Stacey’s secret venue score her the winning goal? With four very different weddings, but which bride will walk away with the honeymoon of their dreams?

Four Weddings sees four brides to be put their special day under scrutiny, inviting three rival brides to critique their nuptials, all in a bid to win every newly wed’s dream prize – a luxury honeymoon. Weddings to remember are guaranteed, but will it be a big day of delight, or matrimonial misery?

In episode three our first bride to be is Carol Ann Hewitt, who loathes all things traditional and claims to have planned an anti-wedding. Traditional flowers are swapped for Christmas baubles, the first dance involves a limbo pole and both the bride and groom go AWOL from the reception… neglecting their fellow brides. Will the unconventional elements to Carol’s day be too much for her competitors to enjoy or will Carol’s quirky wedding win her the dream honeymoon?

Up next is Donna Parker who plans to have a pure pink fest; she’s a self confessed girly girl who loves shoes, bags, clothes and pink! With the second biggest budget this episode, £15k; Donna expects to have exactly what she wants for the grand occasion. Based in Aberdeen, the wedding lives up to traditional theme and celebrations involve iconic Scottish bag pipes. With a magician featuring at the after party, will he pull the rabbit out of the hat and help Donna pull off her winning wedding?

Next is ‘Princess’ Sarah Lathlane who wants the works. Having dreamt of this day since she was a little girl, she wants it to be “classy and sophisticated, but fun as well”. Sarah dislikes tacky weddings including the colour pink, which is in stark contrast to the Barbie-esque, Donna, who nearly doesn’t get to the ceremony, having had a panic attack after spotting the birds of prey guarding the castle walls “we have a problem here!” This looks to be the ‘text book traditional wedding’, but will Sarah’s quest to have the wedding of her dreams overwhelm the day and create an impersonal function? Or will it really be the fairy tale ending she’s always wanted?

Alison Cleverly is the last to be wed; appreciating the simple things in life, she has the smallest budget of the four brides, a mere £3,000. Planning for a no frills affair, her guests are served jacket potatoes and fillings at the sit down dinner. The aim of the day is to keep costs at a minimum and she hates speeches, so much so that she “can’t abide to” them. Unfortunately for fellow bride Donna, she has to send friend Cheryl in her place to judge the day after being holed up in bed with a sever chest infection. Will Alison conform on the emotional day and say a few words at the end of the evening? And will her cost efficient wedding save her a small fortune and bag the honeymoon?

With each of the weddings not living up to expectations, will the judges be pleasantly surprised by the unexpected ceremonial and traditional changes, or will they be left in disappointed? A close contest to call; which of the brides will be flying off for a luxury week in the Caribbean?

Hoping to impress on this weeks installment of Four Weddings, Essex girl Emma, starts off episode two with a very pink themed wedding and gets off to a good start, with competitor Adam declaring her dress as the nicest he’s seen. During the ceremony the priest gets some giggling thanks to his incessant mumbling. Off to the reception the guests are greeted to even more pink, not to everyone’s taste, as bride number four; Jamie declares “I hate pink”. All are happy with the Christmas dinner they are served for the wedding breakfast and are surprised to hear Emma’s voice coming from the speakers as the couple take to the floor to dance to Shania Twain. A good night all in all, with the three competitors getting rather messy with the chocolate fountain.

4_weddings_gay_wedding_taylor_h
by UnrealityTV

Next is Adam’s manor wedding, the first civil ceremony of the series. Whilst Emma is in awe of the venue, Jamie feels awkward amongst Adam’s obviously rich and beautiful guests. After a romantic ceremony, where Emma refers to the couple as magnets, the pair sing to each other around the piano for their first dance. Somewhat besotted with Adam, Jamie exclaims her love “he makes the room light up”, but Krysia is not so keen on the wedding’s atmosphere.

4_weddings_enchanted_wedding_taylor_h
by UnrealityTV

Wedding number three takes the brides to enchanted gardens for Krysia’s ceremony. Adam is annoyed that Krysia had made controversial comments about his wedding in ear shot of his guests and other brides – it seems Krysia must pull out all stops if he is to be impressed “the game is definitely on now”. Following the ceremony, all head to a pub reception where the couple dances to a medley of songs for their first dance. After perhaps a few too many drinks, Adam decides it is time to leave remarking that he wants to get away from the ‘trailer trash’, and once back at this hotel room reveals his formula for the winning wedding, himself!

4_weddings_irish_dancing_wedding_clip2_taylor_h
by UnrealityTV

The last wedding this episode, is Emma’s low budget shin-dig. First impressions are good as the ceremony goes well, however, this isn’t long lived as the brides are not impressed with the conveyor belt feel to the ceremony as they bump into more brides waiting to be wed outside. For the wedding breakfast the guests are treated to a buffet at the local rugby club, but Adam is disappointed that the puddings run out before he gets to the table. For entertainment, Jamie invites on a host of Irish dancers and then dazzles the crowd with her own routine. Overall, Adam decides this is his favourite wedding, but will the other brides agree?

From low-budget to all expenses, who has truly found the formula for the winning wedding and will walk away with a dream honeymoon to the Caribbean?

The battle of the brides commences this Summer as four competitive couples go head to head in out and out wedding warfare. The ultimate wedding eavesdrop show launches for ten weeks on LIVING from July.

We all love the post ceremonial opportunity to pour scorn on the tacky theme, the meringue, or the dodgy first dance, but for each of our brides one touch of tastelessness could be the difference between five star bliss and bed-sit boredom. Each week, viewers will witness four very different wedding days, and what is one woman’s dream could be another’s nightmare.

Whilst one of the four couples heads up the aisle, the other three will be watching in envy or outrage, as they set about scoring the service and the judging the festivities. Everything is under contention, with dresses, venues, catering and presentation praised or pitied by the eager to impress couples, all vying to stage the winning wedding.

Promising a plentiful mix of far from formulaic ceremonies that include brides on a budget, pagan bikers tying the knot, African extravaganzas, civil partnerships and even an outlandish exchanging of vows at London Zoo, it’s the definitive wedding expose – from the wonderful, to the weird, to the just plain wacky. Cue sniping from the church stalls, catty remarks at the reception and eagle eyed dissection of the first dance, as one by one the couples submit their scores – but will our brides and grooms agree when it comes to the final deliverance?

The ten-part series will culminate with a special celebrity episode, in which four famous faces and their partners go up against one another. LIVING’s cameras will have unprecedented access and reveal what really goes on behind the scenes at a celebrity wedding. Once again, the designer dresses, magnificent marquees, top class cuisine and fabulous frivolities will be under surveillance.

Episode One introduces WAG wannabe Melanie Boorman, a former Page 3 stunner who’s out to ensure her big day is the ultimate in glitz and glamour. In stark contrast to Melanie’s £77,000 budget is Lorna Vincent, who’s shunning a traditional church ceremony to get married in a cave, with a father-in-law DJing at the reception. It’s then off to the Carnival as Hertfordshire bride Ada Ekwuozor throws an African spectacular, complete with a themed banquet. The last wedding on the agenda belongs to fun loving Amanda Selby, who is kicking off with a pyjama party, followed by dancing and game playing a plenty.

Other colourful characters to watch out for later in the series include Barbie-esque Donna Ritchie, whose fairytale day is a pink and butterfly themed affair, Carol Ann Hewitt who hosts the ‘anti wedding’, walking down the aisle with a bouquet made of Christmas baubles, and control freak wedding planner Kate Marno, who is forced to entrust the organisation of her dream day to her partner.

With cameras following the competitors from planning to the final party, tension is bound to run high as the women battle it out to pull off the winning wedding and triumph with the ultimate dream getaway, whilst hoping to enjoy the ‘best day of their lives’.

Four cut-throat wives to be and one dream prize, Four Weddings promises a feast of bitchy brides, two-faced compliments and back-stabbing galore.

Starting Monday 6th July at 9pm, LIVING invites you to say ‘I Do’ to the wedding show of the season.

Follow the series on Twitter and Facebook.

Starting this July, LIVING invites you to say ‘I Do’ to the wedding show of the season.
