Freddie the toff went from being favourite to win, to being evicted from the Big Brother house tonight.

Freddie is the 10th person to be publicly evicted from the Big Brother10 House and received 53.61% of the public vote.

As part of attempting to gain housemate status, Freddie officially changed his name by deed poll to Halfwit. However, today, as part of Big Brother’s special prizes, to the housemates as a reward for passing this week’s shopping task, Halfwit was given the chance to legally change his name back to Freddie.

No more jazz singing, no more weird rows with Bea, will you miss the Fredster? You know what? I don’t think I will.

It seems that he’d been waxing a bit too lyrical about his views on Kris and Sophie’s relationship, despite being advised by Siavash to keep his opinions on the down low. And regrets, he has a few today… and a bit of a hangover.

“One of the reasons I’m upset” he told some of the housemates, “is Siavash gave me some damned good advice and I promptly did completely the opposite…

“The thing that I was trying to communicate was that I thought it was a bit fake at first, but now I think it’s making them both happy and I’m happy for both of them.”

Siavash then told him that he pays too much attention to Kris and Sophie but Halfwit said, “It’s not just them, it’s everyone I pay lots of attention to.”

Siavash replied that, “Noticing things is good and we all do – we all have an opinion about their relationship, but some subjects have got nothing to do with you.

“It’s just a personal thing, it’s their business.”

Halfwit nodded his agreement and Siavash added, “Don’t think about it too much man, but I’ve told you – don’t give people ammunition.”

Good advice but asking Halfwit not to think too much is like asking a tiger to stop being stripey…

Apparently, England is a place where he can do what he wants whereas in India, he has to live by “policies and rules.” However, Marcus and Freddie told him that such a liberal attitude to things like going out when he likes and car ownership, mean he’s on the road to ruin.

Sree had been telling Marcus and Freddie that he intends to show his children in years to come the plaque that bears his name at the university he attended. He then got onto the subject of why he loves our green and pleasant land so much…

“In India I don’t have that much social life. It’s rules and policies, but here you can go out with anybody and drink as much as you like. I like travelling, cars, and women attract me a lot” he explained.

Freddie nodded along then said, “You speak in a stream of consciousness but it’s not like you’re exactly making a point.”

Does he ever??

Freddie then shocked Sree by adding, “That desire to have your name in big writing, it’s that that poisons your good intentions. All those things you say about your morals will be poisoned.”

Marcus wholeheartedly agreed and said, “I think England’s corrupted you. I don’t think you would’ve had those thoughts in India.”

Sree, looking shocked said, “I feel sorry sometimes; the way I talk and behave. I’m not intentionally doing it.”

Not content to leave it there, Freddie had a final bombshell to drop…

“You shouldn’t take yourself so seriously man. If you do, your life will be a living hell”

Yes I know. I was shocked too, but fear not, Halfwit was at hand to put a stop to the madness.

“Let’s just put half the garlic back so we can have some for the rest of the week” suggested Halfwit pleasantly enough.

“Don’t eat my brain, you’re eating my brain” said Sree, but at the time of writing, there was no confirmation that Halfwit is in fact eating Sree’s brain…

“We have five more days” whined Halfwit, adding, “Other people want to cook with garlic. It’s really simple.”

“Freddie, don’t test my patience” warned Sree, who was presumably putting what was left of his uneaten brain back in his skull.

“You say you respect the people, so respect people’s right to flavour their food” reiterated Halfwit, standing up and being counted for the People’s Republic of Garlic Eaters.

“No. You are selfish with your food…” said Sree.

“What are you talking about?” yelled Halfwit, losing his temper and possibly contemplating actually eating Sree’s brain. “Are you living in a different universe?”

“Well anyway,” said Sree, clearly wondering if he was actually in a different universe, “Leave me alone.”

Oooooooo good come back Sree. Not.

After a small interjection from Lisa – who said that surely five cloves would be enough for next week – got short shrift from Halfwit, who couldn’t believe she’d suggested such a thing, it all broke up when Halfwit stormed off.

He’s obviously convinced he’s staying then if he’s getting that worked up over next week’s garlic.

In true gentlemanly form, he chose to free Noirin of the marker-pen grind and she’s now sans drawn on facial features. She was of course delighted and Freddie was rewarded with cheers and appreciative slaps on the back from the other housemates. In addition, they all received carrot cake, music, booze and no less than 9 tokens.

However, it seems that it all got a bit grossly erotic soon after…

Angel and Halfwit apparently ‘dirty danced’ and kissed passionately while the others looked on, horrified…

“It’s his birthday!” Angel exclaimed after seeing the housemates reaction.

Yeah but aren’t you meant to get something nice on your birthday??

“Halfwit, Big Brother would like to wish you many happy returns of the day.”

“Thank you very much! I’m 24 today” he gushed.

“Halfwit, not only is it your birthday today, but it is also the Summer Solstice. In light of this, Big Brother would like to combine the two events into one big celebration…

“The Summer Solstice is often associated with hippies and their ethos of free love, and so Big Brother would like to make today… a very hippy birthday for you.”

“Your hippy birthday celebrations will encompass the idea of free love, with housemates working in unison to generate a feeling of peace, love and harmony. Housemates will also be encouraged to celebrate and appreciate you and everything you stand for.”

This all sent Halfwit into raptures – and the usual Cheshire Cat grin was plastered on for the day – and it all just got better man…

Halfwit was told that hippy costumes would be provided and if the housemates wore them all day, they’d win a token.

A few minutes later, the storeroom was opened and an array of wigs and hippy costumes had everyone squealing and rifling through the box.

“This is the best day in the history of great days!” said Siavash, who clearly needs to get out more. But not everyone was as happy as him and Lisa remarked, “It’s a bit girly, though, isn’t it?”

No amount of moaning was going to dampen Halfwit’s spirits though and he exclaimed, “It’s so eclectic!” when he donned a tie-dyed outfit. Perhaps he confused it with a toaster or something…

Anyway, that wasn’t the end of the day’s surprises and Halfwit was soon called to the diary room again…

“Halfwit, music is one of your great passions,” said Big Brother, adding, “Therefore, as part of today’s hippy birthday celebrations, Big Brother would like you to conduct and direct a freeform hippy performance in the Garden.”

Halfwit couldn’t contain his joy at the news as he writhed around the diary room chair, screaming appreciatively, “Yeah man! Brilliant, definitely, yeah!”

BB explained that the hippy performance – for which musical instruments would be provided – must be, “an expression of free love via the medium of music and dance, demonstrating the love and togetherness you and your fellow housemates are feeling in the Big Brother House.”

Freddie is a 23 year old student, and very much the privileged twat.

The Oxford University graduate describes himself as a polymath: a free spirit for whom 2009 is about blossoming, which is why he decided to go into the Big Brother house.

Freddie lives with his parents in a stately home. He gets annoyed when people put his achievements down to the wealth of his parents. He defines his parents as clever although they annoy him sometimes, but as their house is so large it doesn’t matter as he only really sees them at meal times.

Freddie was a member of the young conservative association although says he is an anarchist at heart. He has thought about becoming a politician recently although when he was four he wanted to be a palaeontologist. His dream job would be to be a rock star. The strangest job he has ever held was being a door-to-door salesman.

He says that he gets on with his siblings but has only recently got to know them as they were all at different boarding schools. His worst memory from childhood was when he was 7 years old and he suddenly had “existential fear” that he was always going to be a mummy’s boy and never be able to stand on his own two feet.

Freddie doesn’t own a TV and claims that he doesn’t really have a clue how Big Brother works.

He tells us that he believes in ‘Free market and free luck.’ He has had two years of serious girlfriends and thinks that it is time to be a young playboy.

Freddie couldn’t live without Peter Andre and wants to be a spiritual guide.
