The Apprentice 2012: Gabrielle Omar says working with Stephen Brady was “a nightmare”

As fans of The Apprentice will know, both Stephen Brady and Gabrielle Omar were eliminated last night by Lord Sugar, and today, MSN reports that Gabrielle claims that working with Stephen on their task was “a nightmare.”

She said, “Stephen and I had a really big personality clash and we couldn’t really work together.

“But on that last task we’d both had enough of arguing with each other and we hadn’t had enough sleep and all the pressure that was on his head was filtering out.

“It was just a bit of a nightmare. I thought, ‘I wish I’d called in sick this morning!’”

Gabrielle also reckons she was just too nice to get ahead in the contest, and her fellow candidates saw her as “the weak link…” Read more & comment »

The Apprentice 2012: Stephen Brady’s up to something fishy

When Stephen Brady narrowly escaped being fired from The Apprentice last week, he vowed to do better and is reportedly desperate to impress this week…

So to that end, when the candidates learned they have to sign up luxury services to offer to wealthy city workers, he decided that a fish pedicure was the way forward.

However, it seems not everyone on Team Sterling is going to agree that it’s a good plan, but nonetheless, we’ll see Stephen and teammate Gabrielle Omar visiting a west London spa where they try out the treatment.

But after a few minutes of having fish chewing on his feet, Stephen said, “it feels horrible”… Read more & comment »

The Apprentice 2012 Results: Who was fired? Gabrielle Omar, Laura Hogg, Jane McEvoy

After a tricky task in which the candidates had to source second hand items before selling them at a profit, it’s back to the boardroom to find out who will be fired after task four.

Laura explains their upcycling strategy to Lord Sugar and how their vision was ‘shabby chic’, but Karren quickly expresses her opinion that it was “more shabby than chic.” Lord Sugar then addresses the design of the shop, in particular the leaves on the shop floor, saying that it was like, “an Oxfam shop in the middle of a hurricane.”

James McCullagh Apprentice 2012 blog – Jade Nash, Jane McEvoy and Gabrielle Omar stood out as the best candiadates

The Apprentice started with the typically brilliant lines and the same frosty reception from Lord Sugar. But what impressed me about this episode was the lack of mistakes.

We did have Jenna pipe up with the fact that she had a dream, and in that dream a friend told her to call the team ‘Sterling’. Ok Jenna…

Nick the candidate, not Nick Hewer, took control of the boys on the first episode. And what a great job he did. They produced a London themed product aimed at tourists, which equals a central London JACKPOT. They did have some difficulties printing the damn things though and that seems like something I would have been really bad at too. I always shied away from the practical things like that.

Who was fired on The Apprentice 2012? Results – Bilyana Apostolova or Gabrielle Omar?

In the first boardroom of the series, Lord Sugar emphasises the simplicity of the task before asking the teams about their chosen team names and seeing how the Project Managers faired.

Lord Sugar is interested to hear that none of the boys were willing to put themselves forward for the Project Manager role on Phoenix and is impressed with Nick for stepping forward. He is less impressed with the boys’ designs stating, “you can have the greatest margin in the world but in the end if the punter doesn’t want to buy your product its meaningless isn’t it?”

The Apprentice 2012 Spoilers – First episode Gabrielle Omar project leads a team of hyenas and Bilyana Apostolova goes on a looooong trip!

The Apprentice kicks off it’s 2012 series on BBC One tonight and after viewing the entire episode last week at the press launch, we can guarantee you, it’s a great premiere!

In the first boardroom meeting, Lord Sugar wastes no time in informing his 16 possible partners of his high expectations:

“This is not about a job anymore and I’m not looking for a friend, if I wanted a friend I’d get a dog. I’m looking for a partner, the ‘Marks’ to my ‘Spencer’, the ‘Lennon’ to my ‘McCartney’. This is about me investing £250,000 into a business with one of you and I’m expecting you, as the so called entrepreneurs, to make the money for me.”

Young Apprentice star James McCullagh gives his take on Apprentice 2012 candidates

James McCullagh has more reason than most to watch The Apprentice, because he knows exactly how it feels to face Lord Alan Sugar in that boardroom.

The 17 year old schoolboy from Northern Ireland finished as runner up – behind Zara Brownless – in the 2011 series of ‘Young Apprentice’ and during the time on the show invented his own video game “Crazy Cabinet” and produced his own Mediterranean brand of popcorn called “La Popcorn.”

Now he’s casting his eagle eye of the latest batch of candidates to put themselves up for Sugar’s scrutiny and below, he tells Unreality TV who he’s watching out for when the series starts on March 21st.
