Strictly Come Dancing bosses are reportedly trying to land celebrity couple Gary Lineker and Danielle Bux for this year’s series of the show.

Earlier this year the newlyweds shone on ITV’s All Star Mr & Mrs and in 2009 Danielle raised her profile on Marco Pierre White’s Hell’s Kitchen. She is also rumoured to have landed a presenting role on the new look GMTV and The Daily Mail reports that BBC bosses are keen to cash in on the couple’s joint popularity.

Producers are also said to have placed former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and Amy Winehouse on the wishlist for their upcoming series

A show source told The Sun: “It’s no secret last year’s line-up was pretty rubbish and viewers weren’t happy.

“This year we’re going for much bigger names.

“We’ve got more money to spend as things like Jonathan Ross’s expensive contract have come to an end.”

Danielle Bux and Gary Lineker have gotten married in Italy this week, but one person not invited was her dad.

Roy Bux told tabloids that he only heard about the wedding when he saw it in a newspaper.

According to London Lite, he said: “I love Danielle to bits and would do anything for her. A daughter’s wedding is one of the most important days in any father’s life. I am heartbroken.

“If I had gone, Danielle would have been unhappy. I wish her and Gary all the very best.”

In my experience, if a daughter snubs her dad in this way, there is normally a VERY good reason. Stop moaning and put some effort into being a decent father Mr Bux!

It appears that Gary Lineker is keeping a close eye on Marco Pierre White as he reckons the fiery chef may have “taken a shine” to his fiancé Danielle Bux, who’s one of the competitors in Hell’s Kitchen.

His fears weren’t allayed when he nipped into Marco’s kitchen to offer model Danielle a little moral support but was promply ordered out by Marco who told him to respect that Danielle “has a job to do”.

Gary did however manage to steal a quick kiss from Danielle before heading back to his table in the restaurant but he later said he feared the “grumpy” MPW had “an ulterior motive” for ordering him out of the kitchen…

“Danielle’s next to Marco … again, which is slightly disconcerting. I saw in the first show he was there with her…

“Should I worry?” he said, adding, “He was also very keen to get me out of there rather quickly. Do you think there’s an ulterior motive?”

However, Marco didn’t seem to me to be that interested in Danielle and in fact said “no” to her request to be in the charge of the kitchen pass and gave the job to the brown-nosed Grant Bovey instead.

That decision irritated some of the other trainee chefs too apparently, including Shameless actor Jody Latham, who said he didn’t want “to be bossed” around by Grant and later, in the Confessional, said, “He [Bovey] didn’t actually do that well if I’m honest.”
