Dancing On Ice finalist Gary Lucy snubbed show judge Jason Gardiner during Sunday night’s final.

Presenter Phillip Schofield revealed that the Hollyoaks star refused to even shake Gardiner’s hand after the caustic tongued judge branded him ‘boring.’

Writing on his Twitter page, Phillip revealed: “Jason went to shake Gary’s hand at the end and Gary was having none if it! There may have been words.”

Yesterday, Jason revealed his fears that he may not be asked to return for next year’s Ice series.

Despite being in the skate off in week two, Gary Lucy and his skating partner Maria Filippov made it to the final of this year’s Dancing On Ice and tonight performed their version of Torvill and Dean’s iconic Bolero routine.

While we like Gary, when you compare his Bolero to Hayley Tamaddon’s or to those of past finalists like Chris Fountain or Ray Quinn, it just wasn’t exciting or emotional enough. While he was technically good, he was slow and not very engaging. We don’t think he has a chance of taking the crown tonight…..do you?

Head judge Robin said:

He proved it tonight in all three routines. There’s always going to be room for improvement with all of them, but you’ve actually come through in the last couple of weeks in the quality of what you’re performing. Could be a little bit faster, a little more fluid, but at least you’re challenging yourself.

Gary Lucy was determined to work a superman move into his high flying routine on tonight’s Dancing On Ice final and by doing it he fulfilled one of his childhood dreams.

The former Hollyoaks star took to the air for his first routine of the night and we thought he was a little more graceful than Kieron Richardson but messed up some of his transitions and at one point we thought he was going to drop his partner Maria.

Judges Comments:

Score: 24.5

Karen: I will be honest. The beginning of the week was a nightmare for all of us, not just you. But we looked at each other, Jane and I and we said “How did that happen?” Suddenly, you got it all together and it was fantastic.

Jason: We still are in a competition and there were obviously things that were wrong with that. I’ll give you some credit, I wasn’t expecting you to do as well as you did. And you proved that you actually have a little bit of grace in there when you want to pull it out.

Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy has admitted that even if he doesn’t win tonight’s Dancing On Ice final, he is still incredibly proud to have reached this stage of the competition.

The actor who is partnered with pro skater Maria Filippov will perform a routine suspended from high wires tonight and if he makes the final two, will perform his own Bolero routine.

Speaking to The Sunday People Gary said:

“It’s going to be a very emotional performance but I’m not going into it with the attitude that I’m going to win.

“I know Hayley is the favourite. She is a brilliant dancer, but I’m still proud of my achievements.

“I didn’t dance before so it’s not been as natural for me. I was also doing more technical lifts earlier on in the series than some of the others.”

Dancing On Ice contestants Gary Lucy and Kieron Richardson have hit back at show judge Jason Gardiner, after he branded them both as pillocks ahead of this Sunday’s final.

Saying that if he were a judge in a court of law, he’d be struck off for lack of impartiality, Gary Lucy told The Sun

“It’s difficult to explain to your little ‘un when she’s crying her eyes out why that man’s being so mean to her daddy.

“I’ve got broad shoulders and can take the criticism and personal jibes but when your kid is affected it’s hard.”
Criticisms

“If this was a court of law, he’d be struck off, put it that way. Judges should be impartial.

“Once the show is over, I certainly won’t miss him not being in my life.”

Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson added that he never intends to see Jason after this Sunday. He said:

“Calling us pillocks isn’t really the best thing to hear when you are going into the final.

But he’s just one person who means nothing to me. I’m never going to see him again after Sunday.

It’s his opinion but I think some things about him and I just don’t want to say them.”

Dancing On Ice stars Gary Lucy and Kieron Richardson will be wearing jewelled thongs on this Sunday night’s final. While Gary is despairing of the addition to his wardrobe, Kieron seems quite fond of his new underwear.

Gary told The Sun: “A beaded thong? I’m not being funny, but what is that all about?

“We’ll be doing the spiral leg-up with a big wince on our faces. It’s wrong on so many levels, a guy wearing a thong.”

But Kieron revealed that he’d flash his thong if he wins on Sunday and added: “I hope we get to keep the jewelled thongs. They are going to be something to play about with at home.”

Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner has admitted that he does fancy Gary Lucy (don’t we all!) but insisted that this won’t help him on Sunday’s final as he doesn’t judge the contestants ‘with his crotch.’

Jason told The Sun: “Gary is a good-looking guy but I don’t judge with my crotch!

“It’s always about the performance for me. He hasn’t upped his yet.”

Dancing On Ice competitor Gary Lucy is suffering for his sport and has revealed that he has chaffed his man bits while rehearsing his latest routine.

The Hollyoaks star has been practising a routine which sees his suspended in a harness from a wire above the ice. He told The Sun:

“It’s quite painful on my man bits, there’s quite a lot of chafing.

“It’s pretty sore for the boys but it’s good fun.”

However Gary is loving living out his life long Superman fantasies and laughed:

“They’ve been trying to calm me down because I just want to go into a Superman pose.

“I’d like to live that out in the final – and hopefully get to wear the outfit too!”

Dancing On Ice judge Robin Cousins looked a bit ambushed on This Morning today, when Phillip Schofield revealed that the internet forums and Twitter had been awash with angry fans, upset that he eliminated Danniella Westbrook last night.

Robin acts as head judge and last night had the deciding vote, when it came to choosing between Gary Lucy and Danniella.

“There was no contest,” Cousins told This Morning. “Gary was head and shoulders above all of them on basic skating skills… Gary’s skating skills were what took him through.

“Chris Dean spoke to me to in the corridor afterwards and he said, ‘I called it just as you did’.”

However, Cousins says that if Kieron Richardson had been in the skate off, he would have went home. He said:

“I think Kieron should probably have gone,” he added.

We love waiting for Jason Gardiner’s tweets each Sunday night after a star is eliminated from Dancing On Ice, especially if the result hasn’t gone his way.

When Mikey Graham got sent home and Danniella Westbrook saved Jason tweeted:

I stand by my vote for mikey. We have required elements for a reason and he gave a solid performance plus nailed the spins. Daniella didn’t.

Glorious day! Although I’m still miffed about Mikey’s eviction. Skating judges are hypocrites.

After last night’s show when Danniella Westbrook was voted off and Gary Lucy was saved, Gardiner took to Twitter and blasted Lucy saying:

We lost a great performer tonight and they kept a total bore! Hardly any competition for Hayley next week.
