Their performances were always emotional, romantic and often very sassy.

I enjoyed every performance they gave, (well maybe not their very first one if I’m honest!) and I have been on the edge of my seat all night waiting for the results. When I heard that Stefan Booth was through to the finals I had a strong suspiscion that he would be voted winner just because he was a young handsome male, and not because he was the best skater. Thankfully that didn’t happen.

The result of Dancing On Ice tonight renewed my faith in the public vote, it showed that we can choose the right person to win sometimes. Mostly because I couldn’t wait to see Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill perform ‘The Bolero’ which won them such acclaim in 1984 Winter Olympics.

The pair’s performance was outstanding, especially considering that they are now more than 20 years older, you really couldn’t have told. But I am surprised to say that Chris’ and Jaynes performance was not the highlight of the show for me.

I was astounded when I realised that all the contestants tonight had to incorporate flying into their routine. As I watched the three pairs perform I couldn’t believe that they had just five days to master this skill. Bonnie Langford had a bit of an advantage over the others, she has flown many times on stage, though in a Peter Pan outfit, not ice dancing skates.

Bonnie Langford acheived top marks from the judges, and managed to earn the first perfect sixes of the series, Stefan Booth also flew brilliantly, I imagine it would be harder for a man. But the pair that took my breath away was definately Gaynor Faye and Daniel. They had the same incredible chemistry that has been obvious from week one, but Gaynor flew and skated with grace. As a fellow tall woman I know how hard it is to appear graceful beside small and petite people like Bonnie. But Gaynor looked at ease and seemed to be enjoying the whole thing.

I am waiting with baited breath to see who get to dance their version of ‘The Bolero’ later tonight and ultimately who will win the show. I am voting for Gaynor and Daniel, but there isn’t anyone there tonight that doesn’t deserve the prize.

View the original post Dancing On Ice….Or Should That Be Dancing On Air! on Unreality TV

Dancing On Ice, Judge Jason Gardiners Verdict!

Dancing On Ice

gaynor faye

jason gardiner

kelly holmes

If you missed saturday’s Dancing On Ice show, or just want to hear nasty Judge Jason’s comments and put-downs once more you are in luck!
