There has been a lot of speculation over the newest twist in the Big Brother plan, namely the re-intorduction of old housemates back into the secret house.

Many of you have been looking for information on why Dawn, George, Shahbaz, Bonnie and Sezer have not been invited back. Here’s what we know so far.

Endemol have stated that Dawn Blake, George Askew and Shahbaz Chauhdary will not be invited to return to Big Brother as they chose to walk out of the house, and were not evicted. To be honest I think that Big Brother producers are fully aware of the intense debate raging about Shahbaz’s mental health problems, and Dawns unfair treatment and are looking for excuses to exclude these two ex-housemates.

Sezer Yurtseven and Bonnie Holt have supposedly not been invited back due to legal reasons. The legal issues are rumoured ro relate to Sezers recent arrest on rape charges, and the fact that Bonnie is currently on police bail for not paying for pizzas which she ordered from a local pizza company.

Again this reeks of hypocrisy on Endemols part as they were fully aware of the charges faced by Bonnie before she even entered the Big Brother house. I suppose they don’t want to be seen to treat Bonnie or Sezer differently. But I hardly think that a prank call warrants the same punishment as an alleged rape.

I personally would have liked to see both Bonnie and George re-entering the house. I don’t feel that we got to know them at all during their time in Big Brother, and believe that they might have actually made halfway sensible housemates. Ah well, there’s always next year!

We reported yesterday that Big Brother housemate George Askew was beginning to get itchy feet and was contemplating leaving the Big Brother house.

Today he confirmed that he wanted to leave and at 14.48 Big Brother announced that George was free to leave through the storeroom door.

Whilst packing his bags George explained “I know it’s a big decision, but it’s one I’m quite happy to make,” George explains as he packs his bags. “It’s one of these things where you’re so sure and you don’t even want to know.”

Imogen and Sezer were less than happy with George’s decision stating

“The only normal people are you, me, Mikey, Grace, Goerge and Lisa,” said miserable Imogen. “I really don’t want George to go.”

“I respect his decision,” Sezer commented. “But I dont understand it. If you leave before the end, you’re cheating yourself and it’s the easy way out.”

“And fame isnt the reason. There has got to be another reason for him leaving.”

“I just dont know what to think anymore,” said Imogen. “I’m having an off day.”

So that’s it, he’s gone and left Grace with a definite tear in her eye. Its only day 13 and we’ve already lost 4 housemates, by the end of the series none of the original team will be left!

Poor little babies….

Dear readers, as you hit the hay this evening spare a thought for wee George Askew. George, despite having lived through 6 series’ of Big Brother has only just realised that he may become a household name after he gets evicted. He doesn’t think he’ll be able to handle fame when he gets out.

Hmmmm…..

How can you not know what to expect from a stint in the Big Brother house? I mean, they’ve been in the house little more than a week and quite a few of them seem to regret being in Big Brother already.

Back in the good old days, housemates used to join the show to savour the experience. It was a social experiment back at the start, and interesting to watch the combustible mix of personalities and how people formed bonds and little cliques. These days, the housemates are focussed on the fame afterwards, the presenting gigs, the public appearances and – of course – the magazine deals.

Is that why they’re having a hard time adjusting to the house this year? Is 13 weeks just too long to wait, combined with the possibility that you’ve been edited unfavourably?

Look at Nikki Grahame, for instance. Aspiring z-list Posh Spice footie wife-type. OK, I don’t like her. At all. She’s been banking on Big Brother to launch her to fame, hook her up with a deaf, dumb footballer (he’d have to be deaf to put up with her), but she’s been dumped in an environment where no-one gives a toss about her and certainly don’t want to listen to her crap.

Personally, I don’t think quitters should be allowed to walk out. It undermines the show. They should be bound to their contract with Big Brother and made to follow through to the end unless they are evicted.

George Askew is a 19 year old photography student. He is from a privileged background and can boast of several upper class relatives such as his great uncle who is the Duke Of Sutherland. George’s mum was once the private secretary of Prince Charles.

George doesn’t work, but rather lives off a generous allowance given to him by his parents. He has been at boarding school for 10 years now and so believes that living in the close confines of the Big Brother house won’t present too much of a challenge for him.

George’s greatest fears are transvestites and hyper gay men. He’s in the wrong place then isn’t he!
