Britain’s Got Talent: George Sampson’s Single Set To Flop

So George Sampson’s music career looks like it might be over before it even started….not really a surprise given that the boy is a dancer, not a singer!

George released a double a side single this week which Simon Cowell and Co expected to chart somewhere within the top ten in the UK charts. Unfortunately mid week chart sales figures suggest that George will be lucky to finish in the mid twenties.

Britain’s Got Talent: George Samspon Releases Single & DVD!

Since dancing his way to the top of Britain’s Got Talent in May 2008, George Sampson, the 15 year old from Warrington, has been propelled to popularity of Disney-heartthrob proportions with his cheeky little grin and cute butter-wouldn’t-melt face.

Since his momentous win he has toured the UK with his fellow finalists performing in front of screaming sell-out crowds, starred in the West End production of Into The Hoods and become the face of NatWest’s youth account.

He will release his first ever music DVD, Access All Areas
, this December featuring four new and exclusive videos which see George showcasing his vocal talents as well as his fancy footwork in a series of spectacular videos.

This year’s Britain’s Got Talent winner, George Sampson is considering moving to America as he feels he could better develop his dancing skills across the Atlantic.

“I think America has the best dancers in the world and I could learn a lot over there,” the 15-year-old told The Sun.

George Sampson Lands West End Role

Britain’s Got Talent winner, George Samspon has landed a role in the West End production of Into The Hoods.

MSN report the GCSE student as saying: “I always got asked, ‘What do you want to do, do you want to be in the West End?’ and I thought, ‘It’s not really a hip-hop scene, is it?’. And now, suddenly, this great timing happens. I’m just so honoured to be here.”

Britain’s Got Talent: George Sampson To Meet Long Lost Dad

Britain’s Got Talent winner, George Sampson is reportedly being reunited with his dad today.

George is performing in his home town of Warrington this afternoon and his dad Brian, who has only seen him once in the last five years is planning to attend.

“I can’t wait to see George dance,” Brian told the Daily Star Sunday. “At first I wasn’t going to go along because I wasn’t sure he’d want me there. But I have decided I have got every right to go because he is my son and I would give anything to see him perform.

“Just to see him dance would make me the proudest dad in the world. But I have also decided I will stay at the back to start with and just see how things go. If I think there could be any trouble I will just leave for George’s sake.”

Brian split from George’s mother Lesley five years ago. Their divorce was finalised earlier this year. Read more & comment »

14-year-old George will be starring in a video for Mint Royale’s remix of Singing In The Rain, the song he danced to on the ITV1 show.

Simon Cowell is rumoured to be shelling out around £15,000 a week on a security team for Britain’s Got Talent winner, George Sampson.

The security team were put in place to protect George from the hoardes of hormonal teenage girls that mob him after every Britain’s Got Talent live show.

Britain’s Got Talent: George Samspon Told To Stop Dancing

George Sampson may have won Britain’s Got Talent last Saturday night, but it has emerged that doctors have told him that he needs to stop dancing or he may end up crippled with pain.

George was diagnosed with a serious spine condition Scheuermann’s disease which has already caused him to go temporarily blind in one eye.

‘The doctors have said it’s not great for him to be breakdancing, especially landing so hard on his back,’ said George’s mum Lesley. Read more & comment »

George Sampson wins Britain’s Got Talent 2008

They’re calling it a big fix over on our forum, but dancer George Sampson has won Britain’s Got Talent 2008. The final line-up was:

  3. Andrew Johnston

George won after performing a pumped-up version of Singing In The Rain which finished with him getting drenched on stage. It was all very visually stunning, but you can’t help wondering what set George apart from all the other dance acts who participated.

George Sampson & Strike Through To Britains Got Talent Final!

It was second time lucky for George Sampson on the Britain’s Got Talent semi final tonight.

George auditioned last year but failed to make it into the semi-finals. Tonight he performed a street dance routine to the Sinatra classic, Singin In The Rain. At the end of the show he got the most votes and has now made it to Saturday’s final.

Joining George in the final are martial arts duo, Strike. Liam Richards and Daniel Ball took the Judges vote over ten year old Charlie Green. You gotta feel bad when the kids miss out. Read more & comment »
