Geri Halliwell has never been one to shy away from being embarrassing, and we need only recall her X Factor guest judge role as proof, when not only did she climb on top of a car to address (at length) the mostly disinterested crowd, she also rewrote and performed Take That’s hit Everything Changes to the bemused judges.
So it should come as no surprise then to learn that she’s been angling for a nomination in the Awkward Moment of the Week awards by bursting into a pub and subsequently bursting into song as bemused boozers looked on not in awe, but in a state of perplexed embarrassment… Read more & comment »

Many celebrities of course posted messages online about the death of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher recently, and some of them proved controversial for either gushing about the late politician, or for going to the opposite extreme and actively celebrating her death…
However, an online post from Spice Girl and former X Factor judge Geri Halliwell fell into the former category, but after criticism for the saccharine nature of her message, she deleted it, which is a decision she now apparently regrets.
Having branded herself “weak” for deleting the post, she later remarked that she’d done so because she was “afraid of upsetting people, and not being liked.” Read more & comment »

Stars and celebrities have been reacting to the death of Margaret Thatcher this afternoon.
It was confirmed today that the former Prime Minister has passed away, after a period of severe illness and a stroke and a number of music stars have been paying tribute or tweeting about her passing.

Former X Factor guest judge Geri Halliwell – who’s of course also known as Ginger Spice – has revealed today that she was initially reluctant to join social networking site Twitter for fear that she would be “mocked and judged” on the site.
However, she has since evidently got past that and is now a big fan, tweeting and posting pictures several times a day at times.

It would seem that Spice Girl and former guest judge on The X Factor, Geri Halliwell, has found a novel, if bone idle way of taking her pet pooch for a walk by putting him on a treadmill at her gym!
And apparently, onlookers were “stunned” when Ginger Spice Geri plonked her Pomeranian dog William on the exercise machine at the gym in Kensington, west London.
However, the Daily Star reports, “But after complaints from other gym users she was asked to take the two-year-old off the apparatus.
“Reluctantly, 40-year-old Geri agreed to the order.” Read more & comment »

It was rumoured last year that The Spice Girls were on the lookout for a new Posh Spice to take the place of original Posh, Victoria Beckham, who revealed that she wouldn’t want to return to the hit girl group full-time as she wants to concentrate on her family and her ambitions in the world of fashion.
A friend of Victoria’s told the Daily Record, “Victoria will not be performing with the Spice Girls again.
“She has nothing but love and respect for all of the girls and the journey they went on together.

One Direction are the big guests of the evening during this year’s BRIT Awards ceremony and it sounds like Harry Styles is planning to make the most of it.
The hunk generally turns up to these things looking dapper in some skinny type trousers, a tight fitting shirt and his hair all tousled to perfection, but this year he’s considering wearing a ridiculous stage costume instead.

Rylan Clark thinks he could be set to leave the X Factor this evening.
The former model received rave reviews from the judges on last night’s X Factor show – well from all except for Gary Barlow and even he was more kind than usual – after his Spice Girls mashup.
Following his performance Louis Walsh raved:
“Rylan what a brilliant medley. You are such a great showman, camp as Christmas but brilliant.”
