Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones has admitted to being irritated by the squeaky clean image that people have of him.
“That whole squeaky-clean tag really annoys me,” Gethin told The Mirror. “Yes I’m a Blue Peter presenter but I’m also a normal 29-year-old bloke. I love going out with my mates to the pub and having a drink.
“Last year on Blue Peter I puked in a Red Arrow, was attacked by an alligator and escaped a leopard in the wild. Just because I’m not swearing with a fag hanging out my mouth when I’m doing all that, it makes me squeaky-clean. Well, I’m not and I don’t understand it.”
Some people really are desperate. I am certainly not immune to the charms of Strictly Come Dancing’s Gethin Jones, anything but. But do I want a pair of his smelly socks….errr no thanks!
However, the Blue Peter heart throb has revealed that he has in fact received numerous begging letters from besotted fans asking for pairs of his dirty socks.
Gethin told The Sun:
“People keep writing asking for my socks — and they insist they are used.”
Strictly Come Dancing hunk Gethin Jones (…swoon…), has revealed that his mum keeps trying to set him up with his current dance partner Camilla Dallerup.
Gethin told the Daily Express: “What can I say? [Camilla's] blonde and beautiful. My mum wants us to get together because she thinks we’d have lovely looking kids.”
He added: “I know I’m a lucky guy. You don’t often meet someone who’s that beautiful with such a great personality as well. Usually it’s one or the other, but Camilla’s got it all.”
Hunky Blue Peter presenter and competitor on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Gethin Jones has revealed that although he is often too busy for love, he would really like to have a woman in his life.
Jones told New!: “I haven’t even got time to have a cat. I’d love to have a girlfriend, but it’s difficult when you’re working all the time. It sounds like a really feeble excuse, and I’m sure if the right person came along I’d make time for the relationship. In the meantime, we keep our fingers crossed.”
I listened to the Strictly Come Dancing boys insisting that they were going to beat the girls hands down with their group performance. They were so certain that they were going to be great, I almost believed them.
I should have known better, it was like watching my dad and uncles dancing drunkenly at a family wedding, in fact I’m sure they were better at my cousins wedding last year!
The boys had better watch out, or this year we are going to have the first all girl SCD final! That would be a shame as I wouldn’t mind seeing Gethin Jones wiggling his behind for a few more weeks to come….
Strictly Come Dancing stars have all been offered a flat fee of £25,000 in a bid to end pay disputes.
This will mean that stars like Kelly Brook, who is known worldwide, will receive the same money as Gethin Jones who is a mere Blue Peter presenter.

Gethin is a presenter on the popular children’s BBC television show Blue Peter. Some of his varied highlights include flying with the Red Arrows, being attacked by an alligator in Louisiana and fighting as a Samurai Warrior in Japan.
Before Gethin joined Blue Peter, he started his presenting career on children’s programmes for S4C, a Welsh television channel.
Gethin Jones has danced out of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in the week of the semi final.
