Big Brother: Glyn Wise Makes A Move Into TV Presenting

IcWales reported that Big brother housemate Glyn Wise made his television-presenting debut yesterday.

The Welsh celebrity joined regular presenters of Planed Plant, Alex Jones and Alun Williams as a special half-term holiday guest.

And the 18-year-old former lifeguard is hoping that he will taken on as a full-time presenter. He said, “What I am doing is a week’s trial, in a way. I am so enjoying this and hopefully it will get lots more people watching the Welsh channel because I’m on it this week.”

He said, “I am just trying to be myself. I know what shows are coming next because I used to watch the channel and after being in Big Brother I am not afraid of being in front of the camera.”

Presenting the 8am-10am slot means Glyn has to get to bed early. “I had to be up at 5.15am so I went to bed at 10pm last night to make sure I got up. The waking up is a bit difficult but you get used to it.”

And he is really enjoying the chance to work in Cardiff.

He said, “It’s stable. Since I left the Big Brother house I have been living for six nights of the week in different parts of the country. Now I am in Cardiff for a week and I have a really good hotel with an upgrade to a flat section.”

Glyn will follow his television stint with a week of presenting on Radio Cymru.

Big Brother: Housemates Stories

This weekend the tabloids have been full of the life stories and first interviews with the now released Big Brother housemates.

The Sunday Mirror reported today that while they entertained young Glyn Wise with five lovely lap dancers he told all about his new-found obsession with fake breasts. He went on to share the story of how he lost his virginity on a Welsh hillside and that he now wants to move to the bright lights of London.

The Sunday Mirror also contained the story of Aisleyne and how she thinks that she is the “real winner”. She revealed that she will never speak to Grace Adam-Short ever again saying “I still haven’t forgiven her for throwing a glass of water over Susie. I completely blanked her at the after-show party on Friday. There’s one b**** who don’t know herself.”

Aisleyne also shared her thoughts on Nikki and Petes relationship saying “I’ve had my doubts from the start,” she said. “I know he genuinely cares for her. But I know the world that Nikki comes from is all glitz and glamour – fake nails, fake hair, fake boobs. That’s as far removed as you can possibly be from what Pete is all about.

“The more I’m getting to learn about Nikki, the more sceptical I’m getting about her relationship with Pete.”

The Daily Mail carried Petes story on its front page, and tells the tale of what Pete intends to do with his £100,000 prize money. He said he wanted to win ‘to pay off my mum’s mortgage so she can finally live her life because ‘she looked after me for so long’.

The People and The News Of The World report that Pete has finished with Nikki. While Nikki was wishing that she could be reunited with Petey, Pete was telling The People:

“Nikki’s so different to me. All I’m thinking about now is being friends with her. I’ve not even thought about marrying Nikki. I’m not sure if I’m even in to marriage.”

And he admitted: “Mum is more important than any money or Nikki. It’s all about my mum.”

The News of the World
also tells about Petes imminent reunion with his long lost dad Mark Bennett.

I can’t believe its over!

Big Brother: Glyn Didn’t Win, Pete Is The Champion!

Its over! Pete Bennett is the winner, and Glyn Wise came a close second.

Its so nice to see nice, decent people winning for a change. Its a massive difference from last year when self obsessed Anthony Hutton stole first place.

Glyn cracked me up when leaving the house as he belted out “Here I go again on my own” in his cutest Welsh accent. He then managed to pick up a Wales flag from somewhere and wrapped it around him for the press photos.

I am so glad that Pete Bennett and Glyn Wise were in the final two. It couldn’t have happened to two better people.

Big Brother: Who Wins? You Decide!

The day is finally here! In approximately ten and a half hours we will finally know the winner of Big Brother 7.

General consensus is still that rocker and tourettes sufferer Pete Bennett will take first place, but bookies believe that second place will be strongly contested by Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace and Glyn Wise.

If the choice was mine I would see Glyn in first place, Pete in second with Jennie coming in third. Pete is a great guy, but his antics with Nikki this past week have brought him down ever so slightly in my estimation. She is a spoiled diva, who can at times be an incredibly nasty piece of work, although Pete is a genuinely nice man, in my eyes he is somewhat guilty by association.

With Glyn Wise you see what you get. His winning would in some ways bring us back to the glory days of early Big Brother, where the nice guys like Craig Phillips and Brian Dowling get the prize.

Paddy Power are offering good odds on Glyn also. If you place a bet today you will get odds of 7-1, add this to the free £10 bet that you can get in conjunction with Unreality TV and you’ll be laughing all the way to the bank!

GLYN TO WIN!

Big Brother: Are Pete and Glyn Losing Their Edge?

A few weeks ago you would have been forgiven for thinking that Pete Bennett and Glyn Wise had Big brother all tied up. It was widely accepted that one of them would win, most likely Pete, but no one else even came close!

Slowly but surely things are changing!

Paddy Power has this week slashed the odds on Aisleyne winning the series. They are tipping Aisleyne as second likely to walk away with the winners prize, right behind Pete.

I personally have supported Pete and Glyn all the way, but with Pete’s recent excessive slobbering over Nikki I have to admit that the shine has worn off. I don’t particularly like Nikki, she is entertaining but false and whiny and annoying and loud and….oh I could go on for hours. So I have to wonder what Pete sees in her. I imagine that Pete would be a good influence on Nikki, but I just can’t see what he gets out of the whole thing, she is one high maintenance girl!

I still love Glyn, and he is my favourite to win, but Paddy Power and several other bookies are convinced that Aisleyne from the hood has a real chance. I can’t see it personally, but then I would never have predicted Anthony Hutton to win last year so what do I know?

Why I Think Glyn Wise Should Win Big Brother

Glyn Wise - Big Brother 7Glyn’s been great craic this last couple of weeks, hasn’t he? As I’m writing this, Glyn’s on screen right now going nuts to Snap’s “The Power” as Big Brother requests that he clean the Diary Room.

Sometimes Glyn comes across as a little…er…retarded. Not in a bad way, you understand, just like a kid who’s been let out of the house on his own for the first time!

Which he is, if you think about it.

When Glyn Wise entered the Big Brother house, I pegged him for a poser and a bit of a wab (go on, ask me), but it turns out that he’s quite a naive fella. He can’t hold his drink, he’s terrible (from what I’ve seen) at flirting with the ladies, can’t cook and can barely speak English!

With less than a fortnight to go, I’m betting on Glyn Wise to win Big Brother 2007. Who’s your favourite to win?

Big Brother: Glyn and Aisleyne Get Down And Dirty!

As a reward from Big Brother for completing their cleaning mini task the housemates received six bottles of wine this aftrenoon. Rather than wait until this evening to begin the booze-up, the Big Brother housemates got stuck right in and ended up drunk in the middle of the day.

We already know that alcohol makes Glyn lose all his inhibitions, but apparently Aisleyne is affected in much the same way. The tipsy pair decided to strip off and share a bubble bath, all the while flirting outrageously!

“I’ve got a big mouth, big lips…” Aisleyne slurred. “You know what they are good for?” Glyn smirked. “Kissing.”

“I’m a good kisser,”Aisleyne replied.

“When I panic, I come and see you and everything disappears. It makes me feel better.” Glyn told Aisleyne. “Thank you, good boy,” Aisleyne smiled.

“I like talking to you,” Aisleyne continued. “I like talking to you,” Glyn replied.

Playing with her hair and checking herself out in the mirror, Aisleyne moaned: “I look f***** with no make-up on my face!”

“I couldn’t care less, ‘cos we are in the bath!” Glyn laughed.

Big Brother’s Glyn Wise Thinks Susie Is A Control Freak!

It seems as though the tight food rations and hunger pains are starting to turn the housemates into a crowd of grumpy old men!

Glyn Wise today was the latest to speak out, and this time his anger was directed at Susie Verrico. He ranted:

“I went to help Susie with the bread and she said she wanted to do it on her own, The control freak, the slave… Susie,” he called her.

“No one else wanted me to do it. They don’t trust me with the food… they’re weirdos.” He seemed to be oblivious to his past culinary disasters.

Glyn claimed Mikey would back him up, saying: “He finds her annoying too, because she has to control everything.”

He also has ideas about who will be nominated for eviction this week:

“I think my name will come up for the public vote. I’m snapping at everyone because my body is crying out for food. But it’s not me, it’s the food.”
