Gok Wan has insisted that people need to stop comparing new X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos, to her predecessor Cheryl Cole.
The ‘How To look Good Naked’ star claims that comparing the two beauties is like comparing him to fellow fashion experts Trinny and Susannah, which we think you will agree, is a little ridiculous.
Tulisa can’t step out of her house, without people saying she’s dressing like Cheryl Cole, or comparing her behaviour to the Girls Aloud star, however speaking to PA, Wan said:
“They’re different people aren’t they? They’re totally different people. They’re doing the same job but they’re different people. It’s like people comparing me with Trinny and Susannah.”
Channel 4’s makeover star Gok Wan has praised The Only Way Is Essex cast for being “constantly glamorous.”
The Sun states that, “While critics have ridiculed the TOWIE ladies’ orange tans, false eyelashes and glittery mini-dresses, Gok, 36, insists he is impressed.”
He told TV Biz, “I do actually like the Essex girls’ style. Everyone is mean to them but they are so lovely.
“They are great and always make the effort.”
Gok went on to say that he’d like to do a celebrity version of How to Look Good Naked.
He added, “I always said I’d never do a show trying to dress celebrities but I think I would now.
“There are a few around I’d like to get my hands on – not naming any names.” Read more & comment »
Gok Wan was backstage at the X Factor tonight and obviously looking for candidates for his new series of ‘How To Look Good Naked.’
The fashion guru not only got to watch the whole show live and chat on The Xtra Factor but he also mingled with the contestants afterwards and after meeting Dublin mum Mary Byrne, tried to show her how she could make the most of her figure. That’s quite a handful he grabbed isn’t it?
Susan Boyle may have a team of stylists at her beck and call, but TV makeover king Gok Wan thinks that he could do more with the singer.
The Scottish spinster shot to fame on last year’s Britain’s Got Talent, complete with caterpillar like eyebrows and hair like a Brillo pad but she has came a long way since – just look at the picture above. However Gok thinks that he can make her even more hip and stylish and told Star magazine:
Gok Wan has admitted that he tried and failed to chat up Simon Cowell at a showbiz party.
“I was introduced to him at a party and I’d had a bit to drink,” Wan told Now magazine. “I suddenly found myself crouching down saying, ‘Hi Simon, how are you?’ I’m chatting him up like I’m 18 again in a nightclub!
“He just sat there and smiled at me. He was very accommodating. Not as accommodating as he was in my fantasies, but there you go.”
Stylist superstar Gok Wan returns to transform his ‘gorgeous girls’ into absolute stunners, in a bid to encourage the nation’s women to embrace their beautiful bodies – ‘bangers’ and all. In the first episode of the new series Gok transforms a mother and daughter for the first time.
GMTV’s suave, sophisticated, good looking sofa host Ben Shephard is the latest celebrity to ‘get Goked’ as he hits the high street with Gok Wan for his Channel 4 series Gok’s Fashion Fix.
Gok is determined that clean cut Ben, known for his sharp suits and day time demeanour will be ‘sexed up’ and uses his as his very own ‘Ben doll’.
Gok says: “I want him to be looking a bit dirtier and a whole lot more Goked.’
