As you know by now, Reality TV isn’t just on your TV, in the living room. Nope, it’s shifting onto the web as we speak.
Tabby’s been raving about Google Idol, and this afternoon, I came across a similar site, fameoff.com:
Fame-off aims to uncover people’s undiscovered, and unrecognised talents. The competition sees publicly submitted videos from Google Video in weekly head-to-head heats, known as ‘fame-offs’.
It’s not limited to just karaoke videos, taking in all kinds of stunts, tricks and other madness. Having said that, the site’s only new, so there’s not much to look at right now.
Having said that, am I the only one who misses the thrill of the live TV final? Maybe some of these websites need to hook up with a TV company and get a weekly show together!

Anthony and Katy have reached the grand final of Google Idol, and they need your help to win!
Their video of Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ is up against Rockin the Bury’s ‘Eye of the tiger’, and frankly here at Unreality TV we believe that Anthony and Katy deserve to be named the next Gidols.
Anthony and Katy are by far more funny and entertaining than Rockin the Bury, if you are in any doubt go and check out some of their other videos at their own website.
So go on over to Google Idol now and cast your vote! Choose your next Google Idol.

The heats are on and the entrants in the second semi finals of Google Idol are up for public vote as we speak.
This month sees Rockin the Bury synching “Eye of the tiger” by Survivor up against The Baylor Studs performing “Since you’ve been gone” by Kelly Clarkson. Anthony & Katy also synching to “Since you’ve been gone” by Kelly Clarkson are competing with Verbindung Luci performing “Drowning” by The Backstreet Boys.
I first caught Anthony and Katy on Google Idol about a month ago, and nearly fell of my chair with laughter. Their video is a bit more prepared than some of the others but much more original than the other three competitors.
Vote now for Anthony and Katy as YOUR next Gidol!

If you haven’t read our previous post on Google Idol, or haven’t heard of the new craze sweeping the internet then have a quick read before continuing with this article.
The public have been voting in the Google Idol finals for weeks, and yesterday the Gidol prize was presented to…you’ve guessed it Pomme and Kelly!
The girls truly deserved to win and on their blog they thanked all their fans who voted in the finals saying
“So much has happenend to us; we did interviews, have been broadcasted all over the world, published in (international) magazines, newspapers, we’ve been on the radio – its just crazy! But the most important part: we had so much FUN!”
Pomme and Kelly initially entered Google Idol as a bit of fun, in no way expecting all the attention they received. But last week they decided to remove all their videos (except for their final entry) from the internet and asked fans not to re-release them due to the amount of hits they were receiving.
They have now been declared the first ever Gidols and have won the huge sum of $250 (?) which they will donate to charity.
What nice girls, their parents must be proud!

Forget The X Factor, forget Pop Idol, Google Idol is the next big thing.
Google Idol have just launched their very own search for real talent. To enter all you need to do is get your webcam, record you (and your mates if you want) lip synching to your favourite tune and then pop it onto Google Video.
The public will vote on their favourite videos and the entrants will be whittled down through various stages of heats, semi finals and finals.
There is a panel of judges who will rate each entry, offering their comments and criticisms to each one.
This could be your chance! With over 60,000 visitors to the site per week, you could be a household Gidol in no time!
Some of the entrants have even launched their own websites since entering the competition.
If any of you decide to enter, let all of us at Unreality TV know and we’ll have a look and maybe even vote for you ourselves if you’re any good!
