Graham Norton has admitted that he is confused by the BBC’s decision to buy the rights for Nigel Lythgoe’s ‘So You Think You Can Dance.’

Norton claims that the format Lyhtgoe’s show is almost identical to an old BBC show, Strictly Dance Fever, which he fronted for BBC One in 2005 and 2006.

Norton told The Mirror: “I don’t understand why they’ve bought that format from Nigel Lythgoe, when it was a rip-off, sorry, inspired by the Beeb’s Strictly Dance Fever.

“I mean, you’re not reinventing the wheel, it’s a dance competition at the end of the day, but it’s odd for the BBC to buy it back when it was theirs in the first place.”

Veteran Eurovision presenter Terry Wogan has said that he loved Graham Norton’s coverage this year.

Terry Werry bulgy pants told the Radio Times he thought the contest was “a spectacular show without a flaw in it”.

Terry stepped down from the show after the 2008 contest in Belgrade, where the UK’s entrant Andy Abrahams finished last. He felt the voting system was flawed and biased.

“Contrary to what is often believed I love Eurovision, or I couldn’t have presented it for as long as I did,” Sir Terry said.

“This year they sorted the voting out, and I thought Graham Norton was excellent.

“People have said his approach was rather like mine, and all I can say is I take that as a compliment.”

The BBC have revealed that all contestants for Graham Norton’s new show ‘Totally Saturday’ are thoroughly vetted, to ensure they don’t have a Susan Boyle situation.

Susan had a very public breakdown after auditioning for ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, the incident made BBC bosses look again at their procedures for guests on their shows.

Totally Saturday sees Graham Norton playing pranks, Jeremy Beadle style on unsuspecting members of the public.

A BBC insider told The Sun: “The order has come down from on high that they don’t want a Boyle on their hands.”

The insider added: “ Watching what happened on ITV horrified them. If anything that bad happened on the BBC it would have huge ramifications.”

Last night a BBC spokeswoman said Totally Saturday has a “great duty of care towards all involved in the show”.

She added: “The public are selected with extreme care and in line with BBC guidelines.”

Jade Ewen is flying the flag for the UK, having won BBC talent search Your Country Needs You, and will be accompanied on piano by Andrew Lloyd Webber, who co-wrote Jade’s song, It’s My Time, with American lyricist Diane Warren. However, the UK will no doubt face stiff competition from the 24 other acts in a line-up decided from last week’s two semi-finals.

To top it all off Graham Norton will be taking over presenting duties from Terry Wogan which should be interesting to watch, lets hope he makes a few of his famous faux pas to liven the evening up!

Eurovision bosses have drafted in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Graham Norton to spice up next years Eurovision song contest.

Webber will lead an X Factor style show which will see him and a panel of judges choose England’s entry to the competition, the show will be presented by camp Norton.

A BBC insider told The Sun: “Millions of Brits watch the Eurovision but always leave disappointed that we’ve done so badly.

“So next year we’re going all out. Graham’s been drafted in to host and Lord Andrew will give his important input, possibly as part of a panel or as a mentor. There is likely to be a public voting element to it as well.

“Next year really could be the year Britain comes out on top.”

Camp TV presenter, Graham Norton has revealed that he would never appear on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing as he fears he would be as bad a dancer as GMTV host, Kate Garraway.

“If you can’t do it, you can’t do it,” Norton told the Daily Record. “Some people do get better but others look like they are recovering from an accident. It’s just terrible.

“I like to think I’d be the one who learned incredibly quickly and in one week got the key to my dance and then was brilliant, but I’ve got an awful feeling I’d be more like Kate Garraway.”

The search for Oliver and Nancy starts on BBC One this Saturday night and the shows host Graham Norton is promising fabulous things for this series!

“Every returning series says it’s bigger and better than the last but this truly is,” Graham told The Sun.

“I’m really excited about this year. The standard has just been terrific.

“This year is phenomenal and nobody has a fixed idea of who Nancy is.

“There’s a really broad range of ages, experience and looks.”

He added: “The big question is who’s going to steal the show – and my money’s on the Olivers.”

Host of BBC One reality TV show I’d Do Anything, Graham Norton, has claimed that the launch of the show on Saturday night will raise the British birth rate.

He thinks the young boys that are auditioning for the role of Oliver are soooooo cute that they will have all those maternal urges rearing their heads in ladies all over the country.

Graham told The Mirror: “They are adorable. Across the country 1,000 ovaries will pop. People who gave up having kids will say, ‘Why don’t we try again?’”
