Model Abbey Clancy may be regretting her decision to join the Hell’s Kitchen team after chef Marco Pierre White launched a stream of four letter words in her direction last night. Abbey only happened to lift the wrong pan out of a drawer, and Marco pounced!
He moaned: “She’s hard work. She’s got a big mouth.
“Every time you turn round for five minutes she’s putting lipstick on in the kitchen.”
And you thought Gordon Ramsay was bad!
Marco Pierre White has lived up to his Mr Nasty reputation and thrown a complaining customer out of his Hell’s Kitchen restaurant.
BBC News 24 presenter, David Minchin, dared to complain about an asparagus starter he had received and met with the sharp side of Marco’s tongue.
As soon as Marco was informed of David’s complaints, he told him to leave, he then shouted after him:
“It will be the longest walk in history, boy. But you are taking it, aren’t you? Nice shirt by the way. Good evening.”
Later, David commented: “I’m not going to take that kind of talk from anyone. I run Gastro Pubs - you don’t treat customers like that.” Read more & comment »
A new series of Hell’s Kitchen on ITV, a whole new book of recipes! Marco Pierre White, the chef who famously made Gordon ‘hard as nails’ Ramsay cry, has put together this brand new book to accompany the second series of the show. A bargain at only £9.99. These are already proving the be a fast seller, so you’d better place your orders soon!
Describe a memorable, ‘Marco-esque’ kitchen incident.
“There have been many. People often refer to the time when I was at Harveys and all the chefs were complaining about the heat. I turned off the air conditioning and said: ‘Right then, we’ll all roast together.’
“They never complained about the heat again. Actually, one of them did, so I slashed his trousers with a carving knife, to give him a bit of ventilation. That was in the old days. When I was at the Hyde Park and the Oak Room, there weren’t too many incidents like that.”
What was the last dish you cooked?
“Lobster sauce vierge au basilic, yesterday. It’s just a grilled lobster with a sauce of lemon, olive oil, basil, tomatoes, black olives, and cracked coriander. It’s not just the cooking of the dish. What I love about something like lobster is actually going to the market and buying it. That’s where I get my inspiration.”

Saturday morning at 9am. Ten unsuspecting celebrities arrived, one by one, at Hell’s Kitchen. Meeting for the very first time they formed a line and waited in nervous anticipation to meet their new boss and mentor for the next two weeks – original rock star chef, Marco Pierre White.
They were about to learn – in a unique twist - that for the duration of the competition, women would be pitted against men to see who are the better chefs.
But they were also about to discover that learning to cook would not be the first skill to master– learning how to act and behave in the presence of their new, formidable leader, would be a task in itself.
Marco’s kitchen etiquette was first on the menu – and the celebrities would need to learn fast – speak when spoken to, don’t ask questions, never interrupt and leave any hint of sensitivity or ego at the door or it would soon be stamped out of you … as they quickly saw…

But now he has hung up his boxing gloves and is heading into the kitchen – will he be able to leave his fighting talk at the door?
Barry says: “Aggression is primal. Everyone has aggression and every boxer is born with aggression. Every fighter that has been a great fighter has had the ability to use that in a very special way.
“I pick things up slowly, especially things I have never done, and I’ve never had the inclination to start cooking. My only concern is that I will get angry and I don’t want to do that. Anyone who gets angry at someone else – it isn’t nice.” Read more & comment »
