Ian Wright has taken over the reins of power today on E4′s Celebrity Hijack TV show. He may not be as funny as Matt Lucas, but he does intend to make his mark with the housemates.

Over on his Channel 4 blog, Wright has promised that he won’t be a mean hijacker, saying:

I’m not going to be a mean hijacker, I am going to deal with them as I would deal with that sort of age group if I met them on the street. I will speak to them nicely and ask them to do stuff. They are in a situation at the end of the day where they have to do it. I don’t want to be mean about it because I am just not like that, I am not mean in real life. I am not going to boss them about, maybe have a chat with a few and see how it goes.
